Super valuable video, 1.33 for me. Rear track super important, balances the front.

These videos have been fantastic, especially looking forward to the conclusion video on how some of these characteristics impact the performance of the cars.
I "learned" how to drift in my MK4 Supra and always thought it was a longer car like the E46's I mostly drove with.
Makes sense why I think I developed a style of driving on the throttle/ clutch and weight transfer rather than heavy steering work and hydro, because the car naturally is keen to transition being shorter and wide, even on the cut knuckles. Whereas my JZX100 Chaser on Ikeya Formula feels a lot more lazy, and I was always surprised how different the cars felt, because I'm my head both are boats.
I'm now building a racecar MK4 which came on wisefab, and looking forward to feeling the differences there. Definitely not keen on how wide of a trailer I need to fit that wide front end though 😂😂
Great videos, thank you very much.

Thank you for watching! The 4th and final video next week will cover the different properties and pro's / con's of both wheelbase and ratio

We called E30 "fridge on the wheels" back in the days ... was more for the aerodynamic, but yeah it is a high box :)

This info is so good! It would be interesting to hear your thoughts and strategy of using these ratios vs. weight distribution and center of gravity. I know it might be a really long video, but if you’re willing, I’m here for it!

Next big issue... (Youve already mentioned) CoG & even roof height which Is why I feel Like even the is300 struggles & the Z starts to fall off @ higher hp levels because of its track width to wheelbase combo (must consider suspension design too)

Hey great info! Does this list also take into account rear wisefab kit or just front angle kit?
Most of the cars I’ve seen have wider front width and narrower rear.

    • @DriftJesus
      @DriftJesus  ปีที่แล้ว

we calculated with front width, rear axle width is too variable. My C6 and M3 are both still wider & equal in rear. Most pro car BMW's will be same front and back. Usually GT86 is much narrower in the rear

how does the wheelbase ratio affect drifting ?
does it make it snappier/smoother or more leverage in the slide

Yeah, i have listened all your 3 videos now. As im from estonia so i know wisefab good also, but yeah i run e30 2 door with m62 4.7l stroker engine as na and have alot of fun with that, but my team mate has ls3 whipple charged e46 coupe that is fast but due to the tank and some other things location in that car. Because of it that car is not so fun to drive.

@@DriftJesus there is, a narrow kit.
But when you will visit estonia, notice me about that, i will bring my high revving v8e30 for you to drive.

@@Karmojoen you could make a narrow kit with the existing WF parts I presume. Its not listed specifically. And yes would love to drive it! My first drift car was an E30
