    I went through most of those cars from is200, RX8 to E46 2.8 and now I'm at 350Z and that's one of a best handling car I've ever experienced, amount of grip and its reliability it's amazing highly recommend this car for any one with basics

      those things are pretty hit and miss though. sounds like you got an really well built one and thats good. but the danger of buying an rx8 isnt that every single one of them are unreliable. its that some are major money pits that never run and some run for years with no problems. (with proper maintenance of course)

    Great list guys! I'd say a 330d e46/90 would be a worth considering, they are inexpensive, tougher drivetrain, relatively cheap 280-320 hp, silly torque and agricultural reliability. E90 would also fit the budget and still cheap parts. Would consider a touring, even, because of versatility, tyre/spares capacity. What do you guys think? Safe bet would be the 330i if you're not torque greedy.

    • @dritsy
      @dritsy 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      are the diesel cars not low on torque at the top end where you need it? the e9x series in petrol may be a good shout these days 3 years later i think the 320i has about 170bhp which should be enough to get you sideways the 325i is little over 210 i think and the 330i around 270 but the 320i is around 1500/2000 pounds atm where as a 330i will be costing you 4k upwards

    Can't beat an RX8 bang for buck! Rescued one from scrap last year, paid £80 for it, sold the front seats for 100 to a Land Rover guy, binned the cat, fresh battery and it's done 3 very hard events at Pembrey..... Now going through a full on face lift ready for 21.

      Cheap coilovers work wonders. The issue is the engine. I adore the renasis. But it's a chew. Not just for rebuilds but there are lots of weak points to sort out. My last one I got when I was sick of smashing my skyline straight on practice days. Both front corners have oil coolers. Shit for twinning. The oil squiter lines are made of brittle plastic that hates shocks and the EPAS doesn't do well when you get into really fast transition
      They can be improved. I adore them. But they are better track cars than drift

    Ignoring the debates about rotary engines, the RX8 is pretty heavy and the electric steering rack is just woeful. When you cut the knuckles it can't cope consistently with the extended steering range and be really problematic. They are super easy to work on and sound great.

    E46 the best car out of that list.. U would have a serious spec e46 for the price of a 350z. 6k for 350z and that's just for the car. 1k for e46 and 5k for parts. That B my choice 👌
    And for the is200 she wouldn take second 🤣🤣

    • @driftgames_life
      @driftgames_life  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We agree with the IS200, but we would take a 350Z over a E46 currently. The 350Z just looks better standard and has a lot of power stock! Especially if your a beginner, you could turn one into a drift car in a weekend really!

    • @edwardcash2475
      @edwardcash2475 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@driftgames_life I understand what u mean about the 350z is a very good car from factory. But if u get e46 330ci u have 227bhp from factory cost a bit more, maybe 3k. Get Sr20 rad, new fan, remapped ecu and a auto diff. Then a angle grinder to the rear of car 🤣 I'd say e46 route b alot cheaper and better car. As u said parts are everywhere for them. But only my opinion 👌

    • @nathanmcdowell7306

      Depends on your age. If you have less than around 5 years no claims discount probably best to go for something like the MX-5 or a 325i if you don’t mind paying around 1.5-2k a year in insurance. Something like a 350z will probably always be quite expensive to insure. Remember most if not all insurance companies won’t cover if you crash in track.
