Indian here. Just learned Pak has an airline named Blue Air. Although it's low cost, but from outside it really looks good and international level (unlike PIA). If someone sees this plane for the first time at an airport, they might think it's a European Airline.

They probably changed your seats since u are foreigners and a couple. Usually this flight has mostly people going to the Middle East for work, mostly men. 🙏🇵🇰😊

Firstly both air crashes you spoke about were happened during monsoon season (rainy season) and at that time flights were being operated through old isb. airport which was relatively closer to margalla hills, secondly fasting is exempted for patients, children, and travelers and lastly air blue also operates from isb to skardu, so maybe next time you fly through air blue for skardu from isb

To answer your question, Ramadan's fasting is not required when a Muslim is travelling. The missed fasting days can be made up later. So yes, it is a change of the "compulsory fasting rule" in Ramadan. If you travel, it becomes totally optional and you can eat. That is why most people are eating during the flight :))

I just want to point out that AirBlue is not a low cost carrier. Perhaps you got a good deal or the currency difference worked in your favour but AirBlue is a regular airline, not low cost.
I know Pakistan can be quite rough and not really well optimized. I know you have to struggle especially as a foreigner and with the culture difference but I hope you had a decent time overall and people were able to make your visit as hospitable as possible. We try to make do with what we have (which isnt much) and if you compare us to other countries without taking this into consideration you will find pakistan lacking.

Pakistan has other private airlines as well. Like Serene Airline, BlueAir, Fly Jinnah, Shaheen Air, AirSial and many more.

AirBlue is good. It is trusted by more people than PIA in Pakistan. The 2010 airblue disaster was a sad one but i think bad weather played its part.

JUST to tell u , we all are allowed to skip Ramazan day fasting when in travelling so ENJOY meal in RAMAZAN

For coffee thing I think you haven’t tried good coffee restaurants in Pakistan there are many, you are very wrong on that thing
Next time hopefully we will find one but we tried a few different places but were disappointed. However, the tea is the best 🤤
