Personally I like the game feeling faster - I don't have it on hand but there was a study that showed that things that move fast do a better job of engaging your reaction time.
2560x1440 and 1920x1440 is best res, 1440p monitors are underrated and I hope pros and more people move to them because 1440p looks so much cleaner then 1080p even in games like cs, also it wont make much difference of a diffrence to fps since pros play on low and competitive games are CPU bound anyway, if you have a semi modern GPU its really not that big of a loss if at all but its a huge visual diffrence.
im staying somewhat in the middle of the two. 16:10 all the way the elige res 1680x1050ftw. for me 1920 never felt smooth might be placebo and i cannot stand 4:3 after being off it for some years
I disagree with the framerate test. As resolution will play a large part in how many frames you get it will also need demanding scenes / environments to render. The more complex the scene the harder it will push the gpu. What you showcased in the test is a sterile scenario with is nothing like in game, nades during executes for example severely hinder performance, this will exacerbate when taking resolution into account for example run through a smoke and show the results this will tank framerate and is a common scenario such as retaking and entering. Check out Acerola's video about the cs2 smoke. TL;DR The scene is to low stress and not a correct portrayal of in game scenarios. indicative to how electric cars a fast at acceleration but aren't as nimble to lighter weight gas cars around a windy race course. I recommend playing at the res you like using, along with breaking the mould become non conformist create your own aspect ratio.
I have i5 12400f and rtx 4070 and I have 240-300 fps, usually constantly 240-280 on low requirements in the game and nvidia for performance and I don't know why I have so little
Most people play on 1080p monitors, but then again they can just go with 1440x1080 which is 1920x1440 just on a 1080p monitor, but I don't understand why 1280x960, cs players like hurting their eyes lol.
I don't see much diference between the 1280 by 1024 and the 1280 by 960, the picture looks better on last one, however I hit much better on the 1280 by 1024 , also the size of the bots are very similiar.
1280x960 if you have weak computer 1440x1080 if your monitor can display it (my laptop doesn't have that res, I tried using a custom res but whenever I launch the game it glitches, screen turns grey and white. For me I had to go into nvidia control panel and under change size and position put it either to GPU or Display and override and that fixed it for me but could be a diff problem for u
On gtx 1650 in game I'm saving up to 80 fps by using 4:3 resolution, considering my avg fps is 140-200 (depends in the map) that's good enough selling point for me
@@morganlefay-k4c mostly everything is on low, a few optimizations on windows, and in graphics settings, also external cooling for a laptop it really helps with consistant fps. Boomer resolution? Boomers didn’t grow with computers. Boomers were already 30-40 years old when the first gaming PS in the late 90s were made available. It’s a gen x/millenjal resolution if anything. And it’s the best.
This is a really high quality video for such a small channel.
It deserves a sub.
Appreciate it homie!
That viewmodel is criminal
I rock the same one. Was shocked to see it here.
Call it the quake model

You should use 1:1 aspect ratio, ex: 1080x1080.

People didn't play 1280x960 in 1.6 it was mainly 640x480 800x600 and some 1024x768

Hey man angell and fpsheaven made a benchmark map you can find on the workshop called "CS2 FPS BENCHMARK".
Its scripted so its a bit more consistent.

Exactly, if you wanna stick to 4:3 and have a good PC, might as well just use 1440x1080 for that better res
I've 1920x1080 monitor, and i feel like native res in cs2 is wayy thinner and far than on yt videos when ppl are using same res.
Me playing with 21:9.
I often see someone in the corner that most people miss.
Had that for awhile until I got a new monitor. its super fun and would def stick with it and get used to it if i still had it
what is the size and resolution of your monitor?
