The remake even acknowledges the comics set before and after the first game. They didn't need to do that but I appreciate how deep they dug into this lore.

It's kind of interesting at 2:14:25 and 2:18:47 that Gabe's only auditory hallucinations are Lexine's voice. Guess it makes their relationship in Severed a bit less out of nowhere.

@@wickdaline8668 Eh, DS1 Remake has strong issues because their direction is not working out with the games setting thus its INCREDIBLE easy which to me kills the atmosphere and horror if you cant die, no matter how hard the difficulty One example is that there is an elite brute version and pipes laying on the floor. You pick up a pipe, shoot it and immediately this "mini boss" is dead. Because pipes deal UNLIMMITED damage...no matter the difficulty. But yeah, I'd love any continuation or Dead Space related content really.
My only confusion where timelines don’t really add up is Vincent showing up to taze them. Watching the movie she didn’t have any point where she would have had time for that. The only thing I could think is when Samuel Irons sacrificed himself while Vincent was getting Nichole and the other medical staff out it occurred somewhere around there just off screen.
I say the taze happens between when Vincent's team encounters the first necromorph in the morgue and before the firefight in the cafeteria. I don't think the blonde girl Vincent saves is Nicole. It may have originally meant to be Nicole, but the events of Extraction and the 2023 remake refute that.

He was infected with the necromorph bacteria when his arm was impaled by that bone spike. With the marker already hitting him with the dementia signal, Nate was already doomed. He was the necromorph that was attacking Lexine during that ending cutscene.

Either an oversight or crew and miners are not the same. 1:21:00 Nicole appears. 1:59:40 Make it whole. 2:09:49 - 2:10:30 Confirmation of Warren Eckhardt being responsible for rotating personnel around to increase presence of more Unitologists, and right after the discovery of the Marker. Then leaves Dr. Howell to die by a monster as she had him figured out. 2:33:06 Nother person mentioning needing to make it whole. 2:50:35 Extraction team, minus Eckhardt, heading to the Sprawl... in Shuttle 23.
My only grip about this game is it shows them taking the shuttle that Isaac, Kendra, and Kyne ended up using during Dead Space 1. Otherwise this game was super good. The ending was also nice because, at the time, the player wasn't sure WHO exactly died and turned into a Necromorph. So at the time, it was very open and left people guessing; at least until the DS2 DLC came out.
To be honest this better than the none sense animtuon 2D of them game and I feel the cartoon was made for xxx and wired people and nothing like movie , this game remains me of silent Hill shattered memories 2009 even the girl she looks like a bit adult heather-mason but still a good game even the ending is very sad too
It's implied (later confirmed by Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis in a now deleted formspring thread) that Nathan bled out from his wounds and reanimated into a Slasher due to still being within the Red Marker Signal's reach, though Lexine would ultimately manage to put the Slasher down resulting in her and Gabe eventually getting to The Sprawl. The outcome is ultimately followed in the "Severed" DLC for Dead Space 2.

You can play it on Wii or PlayStation 3 (it's still available digitally on ps3). Unfortunately there's no way to disable the reticle, so I tucked it to the side as much as I could :(
I feel this game made by Capcom or Konami team more than the orgianl team because the graphics and the animation remains me of RE or silent hill, but i understand from the ending her friends mutation into monsters and she will become one of them because the eyes seeing her in red colors, but this remembered me in dead space 3 when mr.clark said maybe you're monsters but that's what we feel after the mutation in the Dlc
On one hand, having reused text logs is nice because fans of the main games don’t miss out by not owning a Wii, but on the other hand, it’s a shame there isn’t more lore/world building offered by including entirely new text logs to this game. I also love how this game, being that it was made before the sequel, uses the younger, and arguably prettier Nicole. No offense to the current model, but she-especially in the remake-looks more like Ellen Degeneres.
This would be awesome if it was on the switch. I like games mostly for the story. I love the other stuff but the dead space story/lore never gets old. Altman be praised 💀

Not really. Mobile takes place between 1 and 2 (with Extraction taking place before 1), and shows how the Necromorph outbreak started on the Sprawl.
