He won two championships with our Pau and, on the other hand, he led the Team USA against our national team in Beijing 2008 and London 2012. Remembering how they lost in the finals that same year they became teammates then Kobe went on to beat Pau in the Olympics and then immediately after the ceremony went and told him they were not losing again. We know what happens the next 2 years. Kobe & Pau became unstoppable. Truly brothers.

    I’m glad that history is respecting the duo that Kobe and Pau were. I’ll be honest as a Laker fan before Pau came to the Lakers in the 07-08 season I hadn’t watched a lot of games with him but man once he became a Laker he became one of my favorite players of all time. you could tell the difference he made on the team and the difference that he meant to Kobe almost instantly. I really wish looking back that we could’ve got him on the Lakers two years earlier because I believe that those two guys could have won three championships together giving Pau three rings and Kobe six rings. Man after they beat the Celtics in 2010 I just knew they were going to three peat the next season. That whole season I had already in my mind watched the Lakers beat LeBron James and Miami Heat to finish off that three peat and when it didn’t happen as a Laker fan it crushed me. but I am very thankful that those two guys got to play together because I have re-watched those two finals probably more than any other NBA finals. I remember where I was both times that they won those two championships. That was definitely a special team. I’m not going to say that it’s the best lineup ever but it’s probably my favorite lineup ever.

    • @ghostflame9211
      @ghostflame9211 ปีที่แล้ว

      definitely a fun lineup. while i sometime look back and wonder "what if kobe answered garnett's call," i always thank gasol for what he brought to LA. wish they didnt just treat him and odom like a trade piece towards the end there.
