    For all the people complaining about the long setup time all advice I can give is: Practice. I've been flying with all Ronin models for a couple years now and me and my team can setup cameras under 5 minutes. Once you understand how the gimbal and balancing works you can get it ready in no time.

    Just opened the box on a new Ronin M. Was able to follow the video and had no problem balancing following the instructions. First test around the house was great, everything I expected. Yes the lens cap will throw the balance off. Connecting to the DJI Assistant with the USB cable and testing/setting options was easy.

    Am I the only one having trouble with balancing the verticals tilt? It never stays in one spot no matter how many micro adjustments I make, and I’m afaid to turn in on with the worry that I’ll ruin the motors if it isn’t balanced right. ANY TIPS FROM ANYONE ELSE?

    The recent history and fate of the Ronin-M offers an important lesson to be learned, basically that dji products are "throw away" items. Though the Ronin-M was a good gimbal, it was rendered as worthless junk when dji pulled all support for the product by halting the production of proprietary "smart" batteries and auxiliary power adapters, leaving thousands of customers in limbo. If you can afford to "throw away" a dji product and simply replace it with a new one if it happens to break (or replace it with a new model)... If you can afford to do that, then you are good to go. If not, then perhaps you should think twice about your purchase.

    This is a great job DJI. Made balancing pretty painless. Can you guys do a video on how to trouble shoot the batteries. All the forms I have seen show this is a serious issue.
    I have two batteries that randomly stopped working right before a big video shoot. Can you guys teach us what the different LED indicator behaviors mean and how to deal with each of them using a battery trickle charger? Everyone who has had this issue please like this comment so they can take care of this very serious battery issue that is haunting us all.

    (2:24) Oh how I wish I could 'tightly' screw my top horizontal bars into the top handle. They get so tight and then just spin and I am constantly retightening them. Really poor construction.
    (6:38) When adjusting the vertical tilt I am able to get it beautifully balanced at 90degrees and 0degrees (forward facing) but if I rotate the camera either just short of 90 or back of 90 then the camera falls either forward (short of 90) or backward (just past 90)...Why is this?
    (7:05) Again I can get the camera balanced great when horizontal but if I position it slightly to the left or right of horizontal then it wants to fall either left or right...Again, I obviously can't move the camera either way as I won't then have balance at horizontal so what can I do in this instance?
    (8:20) No matter how much back and forth I adjust the gimbal I always have some movement from the higher position to the lower position. Sometimes it starts to go and then balances out somewhere in-between. What is this occurring specifically do you think? I appreciate the balance cannot be right but then what can I do if an adjustment either forward or back sends the gimbal more out of balance than before? Is it just that the camera and lens combination do not work? I was using a 5Dmk3 with Canon 24-105mm lens plus a manfrotto quick release plate and adapter so I could quickly move from Ronin-M to Tripod or monopod.

    Once you are balance you should be able to tilt the camera and it will stay in that position. Is this true? I achieved a balance did but once I tilt or roll the camera in any direction it falls back to center level. And lastly once I do the auto calibrate and my numbers show as close to 0 as possible. asIi move the ronin the numbers move all over the place passing 10. please help. thanks Ronin M with Fs100

    • @GermanPhotoshopCS5
      @GermanPhotoshopCS5 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, in this case the center of gravity of your camera is too high or low. You need to move the camera up or down until it "feels" more steady and it´s only falling into one direction. ( for example always backwards ) Now you need to adjust the tilt axis until it stays steady in one position ( move the camera forwards or backwards ). I never worked with a fs100 on the ronin, but I think its center of gravity is quite high ( because of the top handle and microphone ) so you need to set the camera to a lower point. It´s a tricky process but if you get it once, it will be way easier in the future with your set up.
