This is a reupload from last year to correct some mixing issues. Tanbur by Ido Romano, qanun by Gökhan Saraç, strings by Akram Berrada, vocals by Farya Faraji. This song is closely associated with the Mevlevi Sufi order, with its roots somewhere in the 19th century. I wanted the orchestration to hearken to a very cosmopolitan, Istanbul-based kind of sound, therefore I forewent the typical Turkish folk instruments like the saz family, and opted for the tanbur and kanun, two instruments representative of Classical Ottoman music, with a contemporary oriental string section. The clip was filmed in the Fatih district of Istanbul.
    Lyrics in Turkish:
    Güzel aşık cevrimizi
    Çekemezsin demedim mi
    Bu bir rıza lokmasıdır
    Yiyemezsin demedim mi
    Demedim mi, demedim mi
    Gönül sana söylemedim mi
    Bu bir rıza lokmasıdır
    Yiyemezsin demedim mi
    Yemeyenler kalır naçar
    Gözlerinden kanlar saçar
    Bu bir demdir gelir geçer
    Duyamazsın demedim mi
    English translation:
Dear lover, haven't I told you?
You're not able to suffer our grief,
This is a morsel out of pure consent
Haven't I told you that you're not able to swallow it?
    Haven't I told you, haven't I told you?
My heart, haven't I said to you
This is a morsel out of pure consent
Haven't I told you that you're not able to swallow it?
Those who don't eat, will remain in despair
Splatter all the blood through their eyes
This is a phase, it comes and passes by
Haven't I told you that you're not able to sense it
    Haven't I told you, haven't I told you
My heart, haven't I said to you?
This is a phase, comes and passes by
Haven't I told you that you're not able to sense it

I don't know if this is the best place for this, but I found a channel using one of your songs. I'm only mentioning because there is no attribution.
They just removed the instrumental prelude.
The song is Aghrab-e Zolf-e Kajet. The channel name is: West Asian Music Channel. They have 2 videos with the same title (Persian Folk Song: aghrabe zolphe kajet), one is yours, and the other includes an album cover of the artist that sings the song.

Hi Farya, sorry I haven’t been posting comments all this time and listening to your songs for I cannot feel comforted with everything we are witnessing in the world right now. But this specific melody strikes a genuine chord in my heart as it not only Turkish. Let’s see Farya if you will let this comment stay this time (?):
“δε σου το’πα σκύλας κόρη στο γιαλό μην κατέβεις γιατί ο γιαλός κάνει φουρτούνα και σε πάρει και πνιγείς. Και αν με πάρει που με πάει έξω στα βαθιά νερά. Το κόρμι κάνω βάρκα και τα χέρια μου κουπιά. ..”
You see Farya there are two sides to every story, no matter how beautiful the melody or the words. And my heart is breaking for my ancestors who sang these words to this melody and also for all those innocents who are suffering their same fate.

@@alexander63736of course, each have the same epistemological roots founded upon the biblical worldview. As history unfolds, my hope is that instead of using fire and sword to hammer out worship of the true God (since each system agrees relativism is philosophically impossible, and that false worship brings curses and judgment upon the land), we should use the fire of intellect and love and the sword of truth to convince our brothers in humanity to make the necessary adjustments to their faiths.
That said, I appreciate these music videos because it shows we can all still love one another in the middle of having this “Great Conversation.”

The author of this poem, Pir Sultan Abdal, was one of the greatest poets and rebels in Turkish history. The reason for his death was the poem he wrote to Shah Ismail, “Açılsın Kapılar Şaha Gidelim (Let the Doors Open, Let Us Go to the Shah)” I think you will sing that too.

Ofc if it's from the 19th century the song could easily have been made after their disbandment and doesn't have much to do with them

It's a poem by folk poet Pir Sultan Abdal(circa 16. century). The poem has another stanza as:
    Pir Sultan âli şahımız
    Hakka ulaşır râhımız
    on iki imam katarımız
    uyamazsın demedim mi?
    English:
Pir Sultan is our great king
Our way arrives to The God
The twelve imam is our vehicle
Haven't I told you that you're not able to follow it?

Cool song, these turkish sounds have grown on me over the past year thanks to your videos. Also is there a chance you are reworking your rendition of Bugün Bize Pir Geldi? The instrumentals that you added in the standalone version made the song from a solid 7/10 in the Janissary symphony to an easy 9 for me at least :)
