Li Ning Halbertec 8000 Badminton Racket Review - What A Surprise

  • This is a review of Li Ning's latest badminton racket, the Halbertec 8000. The Halbertec is also a new control series racket from Li Ning and the legendary Fu Hai Feng is currently playing with it. The Halbertec is fast, responsive and is certainly a surprise.
    This is a control focussed badminton racket and isn't very head heavy.

    Bought this 2 months back and agree that this racket is definitely easy to pick up. The more I use it, the more I love the control it gives me mainly on drop shots and drives to the back of the court. However, it is not as powerful for smashing (but that could very well be on me as I am not a smasher!) . Love this racket.

  • @ChickenSweetcornSoup

    Got this racquet in 4U! Absolute beast to play with. Sharp flat drives are amazing, slices and drops are great. Only thing maybe lacking is power from smashes, but that is expected from a Control type racquet. Perfect racquet for the Mid-Rear court player. Highly recommend!

    I am one of owner of Halbertec 8k too, it is controll racket with responsive feeling. If you can get the sweet spot during smash, it can generate more power in smash, this racket is very comfort to use. Suitable for control player, Single player, all rounder, front to middle court in doubles. Smaller sweat spot to new player, but generate explosive smash in sweet spot for advanced player.

    Thanks for this video. I was having a hard time finding a replacement for my 9000c and considered this one for almost a year.
    I had originally tried the bladex 900 but felt something was lacking on that racket. Needless to say the hal8000 was exactly what i needed.
    While i have huge love for the 9000c, i felt my arm wasnt strong enough to use it to its fullest. The hal8000 is seriously one of the best feeling racket i have used in a very long time. All control shots were much easier to do, but smashes really needed that extra push to get the power in. Defensive play was made twice as easy with this racket. I did get a 3u, which i would recommend over 4u if you are afriad of losing power in your shots, especially if you came from using something like the 9000c.

    I was really looking forward to this review after being mentioned in your previous video about Li Ning's racket line up, however I felt there were some lacking bits compared to how you've reviewed other rackets.

      I own a ryuga 1 and an arcsaber 7 pro, there really is a difference when using a head heavy racket. Since im a rear court player i prefer the ryuga than the arc. The power of the smashes are different.

    • @dztryr
      @dztryr ปีที่แล้ว

      In doubles, I am also a rear court player most of the time but I can also play mid and front. I used to use a head heavy racket, now switched to an even balance racket. It can take a while to tone down power shots but control shots like net and drop shots feel great. Another benefit I have noticed is I can play a little bit longer and I don’t strain my arms compared to when I was using head heavy. What I shared is based on my opinion and experience racket choice will still fall under personal preference.
