  • I absolutely love this knife. If there was ever a "grade 10" knife I owned to the touch it'd have to be this one. The vintage stag scales are absolutely flawless, the lever and blade both have zero play or extra movement. There is not one scratch on this knife. It locks open and closed real tight with amazing firing. The blade seems perfectly centered when open. I simply can't find one negative thing to mention about this knife. HUGE shout out to the seller mhbknives from AAPK website. If you want an absolute perfect knife, you WILL get your money's worth from that seller!
    Those of you who are curious, this is NOT the knife Johnny Cade used in "The Outsiders" however it is very similar and this could be considered the Italian version or it's Italian "cousin" if you will.
    Thanks for watching as always! Feel free to comment and subscribe if you want to see more awesome knives like this in the near future.

    Nice, I have a large switchblade collection, but I don’t have a shellpuller, I guess I better start looking around.

      It's almost impossible to have EVERY style. I tried it then realized there's always something else to get a hold of, so it really just comes down to which ones are more up your alley that describe you.

      Very very similar, basically the Italian version of that knife. (And more modern ofcorse).

    The only AKC I have is one of their swinguards with the older AKC stamp. Genuine AKC knives are getting harder to find

      I agree! I'm starting to stay away from them more and more now just for the reason of there being so few original genuine akc knives

      @@ctknifevids7466 that’s probably for the best. I’m convinced that AKC no longer exists and that all of the “AKC world” shit is all completely done by the Chinese clone makers.

      That may be because they have shit blades and us cheap material for their blades..they are so dull that they are more of a novelty item than a real knife

    I only have one shell puller. It’s the AGA Calibro. It’s not a leverlock but it is a shell puller. Mine has a custom handle redone in horn with a flat oval button. The AKC shell pullers have become nearly impossible to find for some reason. There were cheap budget shell puller leverlocks from GOM available a good while back but they’re nowhere to be found either. I’ve thought about sending my Hubertus in to Bill DeShivs to have him convert it into a shell puller, but it’s pretty expensive. Didn’t you have that done with one of yours?

    • @ctknifevids7466
      @ctknifevids7466  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes but not me. It was converted by Bill Deshivs but I bought it that way from someone afterwards. Costed me an arm and a leg but was worth it in my opinion, owning a German shell puller leverlock has been haunting me for 15 years. My other Shell puller is a GOM I showed in a previous vid but I probably need to do a video with it outside to give it better lighting. Those Calibros are pretty nice! Usually not an oval button that's interesting.

    Are these common at knife shows? Been trying to get my hand on one but there so few and far between online. And when I do see the they are always up to 400 dollars

    • @ctknifevids7466

      I wouldn't say common in general, but I've heard of people finding them at shows time to time. Unfortunately now and days you have to be ready to drop a lot of money for one, the Italian models aren't as bad in price though as the german models.
