Rizzuto Switchblade with BLADE PEEK CURSED REMOVED!
Hello again, everyone! Hope all has been well. Here I have another Rizzuto video to share with you guys. This is probably the best Rizzuto swinguard I have ever got my hands on (or probably ever will again for that matter!)
The biggest downside to Rizzutos is always the blade peek. The tip always sits right on the edge and starts to stick out after repetitive open and closing motions. This one I bought from a gentleman who had the rocker replaced in this knife, so now it locks shut real tight and blade sits deep always! The blade appears to of been sharpened a touch in the past. There are also light scuffs underneath the bottom bolsters but that is no concern to me.
This knife is not for sale, at least not right now.
Thanks to everyone who supports me! More content to come in the near future!
Feel free to comment appropriately or send me an email with any questions or if you just like to discuss knives.

OTF Double Action Italian Stiletto Switchblade Knife! Brief Review
Welp I’ve got a fake knife no wonder I can’t close the thing cut myself like twice lmao!
Ohhh no, get you a better knife bro.
Nice, just curious what are your thoughts on vintage picklocks? Would you ever want to own one?
Yea I wouldn't mind owning one, everything about them seems high quality except a good amount of old ones will blade peek for whatever reason but they are original collector pieces yea. Usually historical pieces with stories to tell.
@@ctknifevids7466 yea, blade peek is caused by the pin that goes into the hole on the tang wearing out causing the blade to not close all the way. It happens usually when it’s been fired and closed a thousand times. They weren’t collector items back then, some people actually used them 😂.
They are both junk!
Haha quality wise that is valid, they are novelty collector items though that are iconic for the time period, physically junk essential though yes.
I bought a Cheetah a couple years ago after purchasing a NOS Case XX Bartenders Knife. When I saw the cheetah I bought it then started researching it and I saw how Tank can do this; how do I contact him? I REALLY want this conversion.
He passed away. There's still some Cheetah autos being sold that he did previously.
Yes unfortunately he passed away and can not convert any more but the ones he already converted are floating around temporarily until they become more and more rare.
So the shell puller term is for pulling shotgun shells out
Yes sir, pulling out shells from the back of the barrels of shot guns
@ctknifevids7466 at first I thought it was to do with opening shell from sea and the blade comes out so quick I thought it was like a rocket knife from front
Hes saying it wrong it's TE-ajiauna like marijuana but with a t
Haha I know that now but didn't know that at the time haha I always butcher words that I read.
What's the handle material?
"polished stag"
Try getting it the light next time please, just a suggestion.
I love these copy's totally worth the money
I have a Leverletto Grey Alloy 8' if anybody looking to buy. It's just been sitting around. I have no use for it. Had it since 2020.
Comin at you in 2024! Have you ever tried Ren wax. it works real well. Great for finger prints.
Where do I buy one of these?
You have to be lucky to find someone selling one or you get one custom made by Bill Deshivs, either way be prepare to spend a paycheck or two on one if you're lucky to come across one.
I’m thinking of getting one of these knives, are they good?
Depends on what you're looking for. Are you looking for something to carry around/use? Are you looking for a rare collector item? Are you looking for just something for eye candy and show off? Are you looking for something durable? These are all factors that different enthusiasts consider when determining a "good" knife.
@@ctknifevids7466 probably just a carry around/ use. Ik hubertus knives are expensive so was thinking
@@randomguyonutube-ow4yi They are expensive but they're good knives. They would be great for carry around/use and be reliable the only issue is most people see them as collector pieces and don't want to mess them up so they usually leave them at home. You could get something cheap like something made in China but you take the chance of it going off in your pocket or blade peeking or something. Actual good quality knives are expensive now and days, sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet but a knife like that could last you a lifetime potentially.
Are you interested in selling it?
No, sorry.
Where is the safety on that conversion. If that knife opens up in your pocket there go's your balls. Bad knife to Carrie. Not for me or anyone with a brain in their skull. Only a fool would carrie it. Or buy one like it.🤑🤑🤑
Would you be interested in selling one?
No not currently right now sorry.
The biggest give away sign that your Stiletto is a cheap Chinese knock-off is the piece of COIL SPRING inside the liners, instead of a quality piece of LEAF SPRING, that fills the space between the liners. The cheap crap looks like a round, curved ROD poking out.
You are correct! Good job. I go over this at 3:40 and 5:45 with each knife in the video!
For modern, Microtech. Italian classic Walts Latama pickguards.
Good taste! Nice name too! Big Fender Fan because of Eric Johnson.
Yes Sir, Still have my American Standard Strat in Olympic White that I bought in 2012.
Nice, custom switchblades are interesting. Haven’t had any luck finding any or know anyone who makes them.
Antonio Contini, Chad Ruben, Bill Deshivs just to name a few! Join some media groups and ask around we got some guys that make some top notch customs! Not hard to find just need to be ready to drop a paycheck or two xD
@@ctknifevids7466 I’ll be talking to some people then thanks. If you don’t mind me asking, how much was it to get this gem made?
@@Everything-switchblades I bought the knife for around 140 and had custom work done to it for about 200. Plus shippings and what not so I put at least 350 into this knife.
@@ctknifevids7466 wow that’s pretty good for a custom, but I guess it also depends on what someone would want done to it. Beautiful knife as always 👍
@@Everything-switchblades Thank you!
These are getting very hard to find do they have any collector value?
OfCourse! These were popular in the early 2000's. They're well built, durable, fun little Italian knives. Original AKC is an Italian company and Bill Deshivs is from the US so I'm still uncertain as to how and when they collaborated from over seas as I was just a child at the time learning about this hobby. But they were sold all over the web at the time. Some people will occasionally sell one on AAPK but the "easiest" way to get one would be to reach out to Bill Deshivs himself and get one custom built but you can expect it to be on the higher price side.
@@ctknifevids7466 thank you for the information sir I have two lever lettos from Bill. Never been used they are just a piece of art in my eyes. I would never sell these knives. Bill has verified for me that they are genuine.
First flickie had listed gutted
I'm sorry?
I have the real deal..... 😁
Niiiceeee hang onto it, the real original ones are becoming scarce.
Interestingly weird. I have found several of these before but never bought one. Had no clue what they were.
Hi how did you fix the peek?
I bought it fixed like this, I sent one like this to JTkries i think his name is and asked him if he could replace the rocker he said no thats something that realistically cant happen. Well when I bought this one from someone, he said he got the rocker replaced by guess who, same guy! So I bought this one the guy but why JTkries said he cant do it then did it to this knife the mystery remains, but yes bought this third party from someone else.
Is there a safety
No safety button converted into it but you don't really need it as you have to inventively press the button for it to fire.
I love 11 inch Italian stilettos. I believe latama used to make 13 inch Italian stilettos but discontinued them smh
That one is pretty nice! I have one identical to that. Mine has a little peak but it was never that big of an issue to me. I store it open now with most of my other stilettos in a display cabinet.
Thank you! It is tough to find one that just doesn't want to start peeking. There are studies and rumors that storing them open doesn't change anything but I don't care lol I sure as hell store them open and sleep a little better at night!
Nice rizzy. It seems harder to find them in good shape than to find them at all. Found an old Italian trapdoor otf switchblade recently. Didn’t even know Italy ever made otf switchblades before.
You are right, if you find one in great condition hold onto it! You're gonna wish you did! And yea, those Italian trap doors can be worth a good bit, especially a nice one!
@@ctknifevids7466 I don’t think I’m gonna sell it
Good call lol @@Everything-switchblades
Ayo quick question. Is it a good idea to store these knives open? I feel like it would be kinda a pain in the ass to store some of these with open blade especially if it’s an 11 inch knife.
That is a good question, there are beliefs to both sides. Recent studies have shown that it doesn't affect automatic knives negatively keeping them closed, some vintage knives left alone for decades would be opened and fire just fine, but the logical feeling people get is that there is constant pressure on the spring which could cause it to weaken over time. It does seem like it is as simple as just knowing stored energy doesn't really do anything if it's just stored and not in motion, the weakening of spring comes from opening and closing the knife repeatedly (constantly working the spring and applying new pressure to it each time etc.) BUT I WILL SAY I personally sleep better at night knowing there is no stored energy in my springs, and they are at rest. Yes, it can be less convenient having them open, but I keep them in a display case opened and to me it's worth it if it slightly helps my mental ease even if it's just placebo. In the end, no, not the end of the world either way really, just go with whatever makes you feel better.
@@ctknifevids7466 yeah for me I store them open simply because they just display a lot better when they’re open. The whole knife is visible and it’s nice to look at open.
Chinese replicas, they leave a nasty taste in the mouth when you say that.
Tank was a really nice fellow. I have converted a couple Cheetah's as well in the past. He used to do custom Latama's as well. I've started to do some of those.
Omg the stuff he worked on in the past I see on his channel and I'm like dam it's some of the prettiest knife work I've seen in my life since the Burn knives days! He was truly something esle!
@@ctknifevids7466 Paul (Burn) still does some beautiful stuff, albeit expensive. I just commissioned a picklock for him recently. Even though I provided the steel and scales, it still set me back quite a bit. Tank had some of these conversions down to a science so they weren't that expensive. It is a pain in the butt to do it. If you're curious how the mechanism works, the best example would be the inner works of most DA Valloton's.
@@tommyw68 Nice! It was always on my to-do list to get ahold of a Burn knife since I was a kid but I'm not sure if I ever will afford once honestly xD but boy does Paul do some gorgeous work.
Does anyone know someone that can convert my cheetah full auto for me?
@@stevearnett810 yes, but it would be a while. I'm waaaay backed up.
I can only hope Case starts making official automatic versions of these like Buck eventually did with the 110. Paying $600 for a knife is just out of the question for me.
I hear you. The down side would be that it brings the converted one I bought down in value lol! But no, it would be cool if Case would do that. We have been waiting awhile. Lol
Cool story too. Had no idea you carried one of these and gotten it taken away 😂
Haha thanks, if ever you want the full story in detail feel free to email me. It was quite the night.
Switchblade ban is probably the dumbest law to date 🙄
I agree with you. Thankfully a lot of states are withdrawing that law slowly at a time after decades of banning them.
I’m more of a shell puller guy, but these are always nice too
Oh believe me, I'm on the same boat haha.
Where can I get my cheetah done since tank is no longer with us?
I'm sorry to say I don't know. Tank was kindof the only well known guy for doing it and doing it well, you can check with custom knife makers around some forums and community pages and see if it leads you down a rabbit hole of possibilities. Best of luck to you!
Where can we get manual switch blades?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by manual switchblades, almost sounds like an oxy moron lol. Check around the web though, possibly some forums and community pages as well, they tend to be helpful.
Very pretty. How old is this knife? The "Inox" stamp is something I see on a lot of older Italian switchblade knives.
This one I'm not sure, I bought it maybe a year or two ago and I'm not sure how new it was then, seems relatively new though.
How old is this knife?
This is somewhere around 13 years old or so at least.
Nice find! I recently got an old Imperial candy stripe toothpick switchblade.
Nice! Gotta love the candy stipers lol
Beautiful, I have a 1946 to 1956 imperial but one of my scales are messed up and don't know how to repair it 😔
Oh no I'm so sorry to hear that. Just having it is awesome though!
@@ctknifevids7466 yes it and its one of the rare candy cane ones the white, gold, and red banded one

Very nice my g👍 just bought a vintage Italian swinguard. Has blade peek but not too bad and I got it for cheap too. 😎
Sounds like a score to me! Very nice!
"9 inches is enjoyable enough" lol.
Hahaha
Hello there! I was wondering if you still had the rizzuto swinguard clone in your possession
the 10" clone I had from Korea, no I sold it awhile ago.
Does horn change green as it ages? All of mine are still dark. Interesting
I don't believe so, I think when built and put together some just end up having a greenish hue.
@@ctknifevids7466 god if it were a pick lock it would be perfect. Beautiful knife anyways.
who else converts them since tank passed away?
Good question you may have to do some research cuz I couldn't find anyone myself. You may have to contact Case themselves and fuss at them to make more autos since they are legal in PA now lol
Blade peek? Yikes. That’s why I always want pictures of the knife before buying. Really gotta be careful. Nice one though, I bought one just the same recently. The guy said it has no blade peek and I didn’t see any in the pictures of it so let’s hope it’s fine 😂
Well he did send me pics, just the right angles though lol. I got a much better one now, ended up selling this one.
The stag is more than likely sambar stag it's one of the most stabilized stags
Ah thank you, was curious for awhile. :)

I don't want to mention just because I don't want to slander or anything, I ended up selling this knife though and got a much better rizzy that Im very happy with.
