Ok this is what I keep getting on itunes. any ideas??? "this device was previously in dfu mode but reset put device back in dfu mode to continue." Any ideas, I've turned off anti-virus still nothing. The weird thing is my device is still in dfu mode. I have to take it off dfu mode just to put to turn dfu mode back on.

My iPod touch was off. So I pressed power and home until I saw the Apple icon. I held for 10 more seconds and released only the power button. While continuing to hold the power button I plugged it into Windows 11 computer with iTunes launched. I think I kept holding the home button until iTunes recognized the iPod touch. Then I restored the iPod.
Before this I followed the instructions in the video and always got the message ‘your iPod was in DFU mode but no longer is. Please disconnect and put into DFU mode.’

Although my iPod touch 2nd generation is in DFU mode and iTunes sees that it is but when I go factory reset/restore it, it says this device has been restarted and is no longer in DFU mode but it is still in DFU mode and when it tells me to disconnect it and put it in DFU mode it doesn’t work
