Crazy I've had a titan xp since around release, along with a 1080 ti. Both watercooled and in different systems. 1080ti was my VR rig in the living room and the titan xp for desktop gaming. I can see the difference between the cards as far as smooth performance but not in what said fps was. I'm still currently using the titan xp and keep saying I should get a new card. I've had the memory overclocked 600+ and core clock at 2050mhz since the day I got it. Still going strong and play helldivers 2 with smooth game play at 4k. Now yeah I do have to tweak some settings from ultra to achieve this in some games. Overall was a good purchase to me because almost 7 years later I'm still running it on the newest games and have been gaming in 4k ever since. I will note I did rebuild the rest of the computer when the 10900k came out and picked up the 43in predator with G-sync and overclock ability to 144hz in 4k was a noticeable change. Even when I get into the 40s fps range it still looks like 60+fps. But now that all my friends have 40 series cards I'm looking forward to the 5090.
Fun fact, the Titan X Pascal is not the same graphics card as the Xp. The first is a 1080ti with 12gb, while the latter has a few more cores and is thus a little faster. Unless you have the star wars edition, the way you can tell is that the Titan X has a dvi port while 1080ti fe and Titan Xp do not. I've actually had both, unfortunately with the boring black cooler. Great performance back in their day, but anything beyond 1080p medium is a big struggle now. Still, not bad for silicon from 2016.

I do like Star Wars enough to purchase a sealed VHS copy of the original trilogy because I refused to watch the version Lucas screwed up with CGI. Tatooine is supposed to be empty and desolate for f's sake and sticking the revised Jabba in the first film really didn't work out well. Just made the scene flow all awkward because they had to re-edit it to accommodate the CGI. Pretty sure they used some outtakes from other angles too. I do not like Star Wars enough to spend a ridiculous amount of money on what I perceive as a tacky looking GPU. They haven't aged well, TBH and just look stupid inside a PC in 2024.
Now you can have them both for around $700 and that's definitely a lot cheaper than a mortgage payment in 2024. Well, it would make my mortgage payment but I bought my house at the bottom of the slump in 2011. Literally the best investment I ever made.
My son bought the original Titan X(Maxwell) when it first came out. I still have it. Should have sold it during the GPUpocalypse when it was worth as much as it was new.
Huge thanks to Kevin for allowing us enjoy such a card. Bryan did a great job at showing off how good this card was, and still is to this day. I now have a huge case of GPU envy. Cheers!

I still use it to game and edit stuff right now, and I am keeping this bad boi as my daily until I cant no more.
I remember watching builds with these cards and being amazed at the time about it. Wishing i could have just one of them or even two in SLI, really makes me want to buy one to upgrade my 1080 and rock out for a bit with some old tech.
For starwars I was the biggest fan but after seeing episode 7 it died for me and everything released since the Disney acquisition I view as non canon. And the Arc a750 is the best budget graphics card that you can get new right now!
I play $190-ish for a Titan Xp last year. It performed so well I actually sold my RTX3070 for around the same price when I picked it up. Currently sitting on Titan Xp waiting for prices of newer gen stuff to come down.

But... most of those stories, I've worked on them in my mind, as if they were re-written but some of the amazing authors that tirelessly, for decades have put out more novels in the Star Wars universe. If I look back at a few of the moments where good story can be written, shape those moments with the feelings of the other movies... I can get glimpses of what should have been.

Yep, I just got a Titan X (Pascal ) and happy :) , getting 2 used gtx 1080TI's in a row that ended up being bad left a bad taste .... sending stuff back is not fun. I think the REAL question is... can we find any a750's on the second hand market? it seemed to dominate the tests in this video. The TXP is a good card and I had no clue it would trade blows with a RTX 3060. That card goes well over $220 usd used so its a bit of a bargain @ $150!
I found that the Titan Xp was both a blessing and a curse when I bought it for $180 back in 2022. On one hand, it was a great deal and allowed me to run games better. On the other hand, it cost far too much to upgrade from the Titan Xp to the point where I really didn't want to until early this year, and even that was far too expensive to be worth it compared to the Titan Xp (RX 6900 XT for $500)
Oh yes there is the issue of have decent enough graphics card, an that forces you to have to climb the product stack to find a card that makes it feel like an upgrade, too easy to do side grades if you dont know what you are doing.
Ahh yes, the GTX 1090. I'd be more interested in it if there had been board partner versions without the blower style cooler. I have an old HEDT system with 2x1080ti SLI set up just for the occasional shenanigans, and I'd upgrade if not for the dang blowers.
TBH it would need to be 100 max.... at 150 you're into 3060 12GB territory and that brings you DLSS support and much longer projected driver support along with significantly less power draw. I guess it's nice if you already own one but getting one now just doesn't make much financial sense IMHO
Literally no point because it isn't gonna work with any game released in the past several years. You can put the second GPU in there but the game just won't use it. You could use the second one to run the overhead for Lossless Scaling but that's about all you'd be able to do with recent titles. There also would be no point comparing a 4060 with old games running in DX10 or DX11. You could use a pair of Titan Xp cards to do some AI training but it would be slow and inefficient.
I bought one of these about a year ago for cheap, I was going to to an Nvidia themed build with my old CM Nvidia case, but it's been collecting dust, lol.
The problem of this card are they lack modern features such as mesh shader, ray tracing shader version so they will obsolete in some titles and in future even thry are powerful in raw power
I remember the Titan X struggle to run GTAV in maxed settings. It maybe powerful back in the days, but it sure wasn't all that powerful but a great GPU nonetheless
If anything check out the cg animated clone wars show. Not everything being put out is complete trash but it is getting more and more baffling how they are handling the canon and overall future of the franchise
Bought two of these at 180. Gave one to a friend when sli wasn't worth it, so as to replace his 1660 ti, literally the next generations best card and it whoops it by a solid 33 percent. He loves it. It's like a space heater that makes games go brrrrrrrrrr he says. I beat a 3060 with a bit of OC easily. I find that hilarious. 2080 super are giving me a run
thank you for this accidently stumbled upon how cheap it was yesterday while looking for a 1080/ti for my younger borther and may just get of these instead
this card gets 1-5 more fps than a 1080ti at best or is identical to the 1080ti. it is also identical to the 2070ti so either are amazing for the money. i can play games at 4k high settings no problem or ultra with my 1080ti
7 was a copy of 4, 8 had a few good moments I think but they then didn’t build on that. 9 didn’t even feel like Star Wars. It was a complete and utter mess. Your average fan fiction would have been highly superior.
Yeah, I remember a few scenes I liked and 1 REALLY BAD ONE THAT I Hate. I spent the whole movie reflecting on stories that the good moments should have been expanded on, but as I left the theater, I literally left, called my friends, PISSED about the experience.

"The Acolyte" = Communist lesbian space witches. :D Brilliant summaries by The Critical Drinker and Nerdrotic; I had the same reaction as you to Ep. VII, but I never went to the later movies, already figured they'd be junk, though I have to say Rogue One is generally ok, and I hear the Andor series isn't too bad (everything else though, blech). Anyway, very interesting GPU; I've been looking for Titans for ages, but they've always been just a bit too pricey, presumably because there just aren't that many floating around. As you said though, ot to be confused with the earlier Titan X, which was basically a 980 Ti with 12GB RAM. The product naming was a bit whacko for a while. Btw, there is no such thing as episode 3 in the Acolyte, there is only: Ep. One Ep. Two Ep. Many :D

Been wondering about getting one of these for the last couple of weeks just to say I own a titan 😊
Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie from the last decade
And Andor the best Star Wars show while simultaneously being the least Star Wars show ever.
No disagreement on Rogue One or Andor.
@@jorge69696 They are only good because they're not terrible.
TBH it would need to be 100 max.... at 150 you're into 3060 12GB territory and that brings you DLSS support and much longer projected driver support along with significantly less power draw. I guess it's nice if you already own one but getting one now just doesn't make much financial sense IMHO
Time for a Jarjar GPU
kin oath.
@@MarcoGPUtuber Can it be a Darth Jarjar though? Or an Arbiter Jarjar?
@@justinpatterson5291
Actually,there was !!
Kinda for the Empire's side !
Chewbacca. 😂
I have been looking for a Jedi Titan Xp, already have the other one.
I remember seeing these and wanted one but I already had a GTX 1080 Ti.
I wonder how SLI would do on the Titan Xp. Maybe compare it against a 4060 in Gaming and other tasks?
Pointless, only a handful of games support SLI.
@@laszlozsurka8991 I also said other tasks.
I mentioned other tasks. Tons of things benefit hugely from having multiple GPUs.
I bought one of these about a year ago for cheap, I was going to to an Nvidia themed build with my old CM Nvidia case, but it's been collecting dust, lol.
Wow ARC A750 beating up Titan Xp.
I wonder if my ARC A770 Titan OC (Sparkle) is better than the Titan-V.
The problem of this card are they lack modern features such as mesh shader, ray tracing shader version so they will obsolete in some titles and in future even thry are powerful in raw power
Helped my buddy get one of the Titan xp for a steal for his system
I remember the Titan X struggle to run GTAV in maxed settings. It maybe powerful back in the days, but it sure wasn't all that powerful but a great GPU nonetheless
The Titan X was the absolute flagship of 2015. GTAV came out in 2015. And the video is about the Titan Xp, the strongest card of 2017.
Titan X is about the same as a 1660 Super, but without the DX12U support most AAA releases will require moving forward.
I hated what disney did to starwars but ahsoka is pretty good ngl
If anything check out the cg animated clone wars show. Not everything being put out is complete trash but it is getting more and more baffling how they are handling the canon and overall future of the franchise
Bought two of these at 180. Gave one to a friend when sli wasn't worth it, so as to replace his 1660 ti, literally the next generations best card and it whoops it by a solid 33 percent. He loves it. It's like a space heater that makes games go brrrrrrrrrr he says.
I beat a 3060 with a bit of OC easily. I find that hilarious. 2080 super are giving me a run
Found a 5700xt for $100 and a 2070S for $125 lately on fb marketplace. TXP is cool but I'd take either of the more modern cards for less $$
thank you for this accidently stumbled upon how cheap it was yesterday while looking for a 1080/ti for my younger borther and may just get of these instead
this card gets 1-5 more fps than a 1080ti at best or is identical to the 1080ti. it is also identical to the 2070ti so either are amazing for the money. i can play games at 4k high settings no problem or ultra with my 1080ti
9 was like wtf? just absurd
@@tradingnichols2255 it just got silly, utterly rediculous
@@eldraque4556 that's a good way of dealing with it. Ha!
Jedi Order GPU that's so neat.
Fun fact: huset er legendarisk. Hvorfor? Fordi det er huset fra Olsenbandens Sidste Bedrifter, hvor Egon Olsen skal hente Bedford diamanterne.
Thank you for the Star Wars rant YES! Honestly your not missing out, the Acolyte is GARBAGE, the VRAM is FRIED and its artifacting massively 🤣
I had a titan maxwell and it was the loudest thing ive ever heard 😂
Yeah this one does get a bit loud, but undervolting fixes it up quite well.
@@abedfo88 after owning both the 480 and a 580. I wasn't so sure I wanted nvidia's next iteration of gaming heater. Had a 2060 recently though. Not bad. Moved onto AMD for current stuff tho.
When Tallie died in eps. 8, that movie took a huge nose dive. A confident and skilled A-Wing pilot was something i wanted to watch. Like you, i didn't mind 7, but after watching 8, I pretty much lost all interest.
Even the Yes Man takes a dig on the Acolyte. 😂
Lots of older cards being tested can we see see Radeon VII in the future 🎉
It failed, and quite miserably
Because it was basically an architecture from 2012 (gcn)
Sucks even compared to 2070 super
(AMD claimed it completed with 2080)
Here in europe, people want at least 250€ for a Titan Xp. For the same money you can find 2080ti which are obviously a far better deal.
More like $190 to $200
i have no idea but a 3060 in starfield somehow beats my 3080 ti on the same settings
Btw, there is no such thing as episode 3 in the Acolyte, there is only:
Ep. One
Ep. Two
Ep. Many
:D
Episode 8 wasnt too bad, but the story seemed completed already. And episode 9 was just random crap put together to be movie length
some how, I was thinking this is a video about starwar:p
I got my 3060 used for $150, granted I got a good deal but it seems like not enough of a save to justify the several years of use it has had
Edit: bought it a year and a half ago
Benchmark the rtx 4000 ada vs the rtx 4000 ada (the high tdp version)
man we are unlucky here ni our country we dont have these 2nd hand stores. so we cant even buy 2nd hand
Are used to have those cards. Both versions.
