- Ah the ranking video. Or, in my case, how I I personally reach for the catalogue. How do you rank the catalogue?

Good morning for my thurday ritual: MY MUSIC CORNER!
What a series. Brilliant stuff and congratulations are in order for John and John and the whole crew: Next up: My Music Corner tackles the complete Ricky Martin catalogue. (I kid.)
Love the ranking show. It’s been a great Year Of The Priest.
Thank you so much! I realize that I titled it wrong as we’re not going the full year talking about Priest and various Priest related topics. But I hope what is coming up will be just as good!
LOVE the Winter Suite guitar madness
You guys always have great conversations..and the priest series has been very informative, Inspiring, And memorable...😎🫵🎼👍🔥💯👋🤘
Agreed, Music Nut. I go back to EVERY album from time to time.
Reckless is a personal favourite of mine as well.
I think I need to give Ram It Down more of a chance. That was my 16th birthday album!
Nice Johnny on Invincible shield!
Enjoyed your content. You're right, most of these albums are apart by small margins.
1. Painkiller (11/10 score)
2. Defenders (classic)
3. Killing machine (first HM album I heard @10yrs old in '83 from my brother, hated it, grew on me, never looked back then heard vengeance, SAS & Sad wings and then came Defenders to rule them all)
4. Vengeance
5. Stained class
6. Sad wings
7. Sin after sin
8. Ram it down (even JB Goode)
9. Shield
10. Firepower
11 -17. No order, changes too often
18. Jugulator
19. Demolition
4 - 10 changes often
Tired of british steel
Ram it to me is special
I like Nostradamus
I enjoyed hearing these rankings after listening to the individual episodes. Here is my ranking. I love the majority of these albums.

2. Stained Class- 10/10
3. British Steel- 10/10
4. Invinsible Shield 10/10

6. Sin After Sin 10/10
7. Defenders of the Faith 9.5/10
8. Hell Bent for Leather/ Killing Machine 9.5/ 10
9. Painkiller 9/10
10. Angel of Retribution 9/10

16. Turbo 5.5/10
17. Demolition 5/10
18. Ram it Down 4/10
19. Jugulator 3/10
My Priest top 5 is admittedly uncommon; it has shifted around the past few years, but it’s these same five Lps that are usually there, just in different orders.
1) Sin After Sin
2) Sad Wings of Destiny
3) Rocka Rolla
4) Stained Class
5) Turbo
Great list, fellas!
17 studio albums I really like by Priest.Perhaps only Nazareth have more I enjoyed, and Kiss if Alive 2 and Killers count...I suppose a compilation of the outtakes such as Race With The Devil/Turn On Your Light could count as an album.
My favorites have been Screaming,Stained,Defenders,Steel and Sad Wings for 40 years.. Jugulator+Firepower were the 2 from later eras I enjoyed most..Hell Bent is actually the only one I'm less fond of than I was originally..Redeemer is my least favorite but it's not awful.
I am ever the contrarian.
These albums are the ones I question why, they’re not for me… most of the time.
19.Nostradamus
18.Turbo
17.Point of Entry
I call this section Good and one okay.
16.Ram it Down
15.Rock a Rolla
14.Redeemer of Souls
13.Angel of Retribution
12.Invincible Shield
Now we have Solid albums and these could all move up or down depending on my mood or the day.
11.Sin after Sin
10.Jugulator
9.Sad Wings of Destiny
8.FirePower I really have a lot of special memories with this one and I debated putting it with my 7spot (if this doesn’t move up due to memories, I’ll be shocked)
7.Hellbent for Leather
Perfect albums that are all really inseparable
6.Defender’s of the Faith (this was my favorite for a long time)
5.Demolition
4.Painkiller (this was also my favorite for a bit)
3.Screaming for Vengeance
2.British Steel (this and 3 are interchangeable and the older I get the more attached I am to these two albums due to memories)
1.Stained Class. Perfect album and it might not have the fun song along chorus that others have but it’s a perfect art album.
Your lists shocked me, Rockarolla very high for JC and Invincible Shield.
Kind of shocked Music Nut had Hellbent so high.
Great lists guys, I love the diversity in the lists.
And I agree with Music Nut, it’s a strong catalog. And not everything has to be for everyone, but I’m thankful people love all of it because Priest put time and effort into making that music and it makes me sad to think that it wastes away. Even if I don’t like it, I don’t care if it’s Reba Macintyre which I can’t stand, the thought of her music not bringing anyone joy makes me sad. It’s not for me, but I am glad it’s for someone. It’s not trash but it’s not my thing.
10.00 Stained Class
9.75 Hell Bent for Leather
9.50 Ram It Down

This is a shocking list, I like it Pete. The two ripper albums midway through. That’s different for sure.
Jake

N/a
- Redeemer of soul, (i don't own it and never listened to it)
- Invincible shield (still too early to place it)
Just put Redeemer at # 23 lol ...I kid , but it is my least favorite...Incorporating the live albums gave me the idea of maybe including Hero Hero.
@@ericrobertson2024 i do have hero hero on cd but it's basically just all rock rolla, half sad wings and their first version of diamonds and rust
Redemmer is far better than Turbo and Nostradamus, al sdo the 2 Ripper ones are not classic Priest either.
@@mangussdc4254 Yea it was just a Gull Records cash grab,I have the Best Of they released with 8 tracks I think.
Should do AC/DC albums soon 😊
All you need is really to review one lol joking.
I have the catalogue. I have not spent much time with the Brian era.
@@MyMusicCorner well it would be interesting to hear thoughts on the Brian Era worth a shot 🥃
Ohh that would be interesting, and a bit of a slog.
I’m pretty well versed in everything up to Black Ice.
I pretty much agree with both of you guys rannking but still not a fan of Invincible Shield is good be maybe 11 just out of my top 10, as have said to much experementy and the guitar synths. So that leaves Ram it Down 15. Rocka Rolla 14. Point of Entry 13 Angel of Retribution 12.. Point of Entry 10. Painkiller 9. Redemmer, 8.. Defenders 7. Firepower 6.. British Steel 5. Killing Machine ( Hell Bent for Leather as you guys know it by 4. Screaming 3. Sad Wings 2. Stained Class 1.so pretty much the same taste. Also not a fan if the Ripper era hence being at the far end, just not much going for them as you said and I too Nu metsl & thrashy sound and don't think ever will play Turbo and Nostradamas. Top marks too you guys was a great topic long live the Priest. Also if you want to hear the full Cavier & Meths, try to track down the Al Atkins cd Victims of Changes on Neat Records from 1998, which also has his version of that track as well as Never Satisfied.and Winter all tracks he co wrote.🤟
I have the Al Atkins CD and it’s a good album. Still wanna hear that 14 minute version though. 😁
Do you have his other ones, has 6 plus 4 as Atkins May Project & 1 with Holy Rage. All very good.
Redemmer is heaps better than Turbo and Nostrradmus and the 2 Ripper ones.
Hell Bent For Leather
Stained Class
British Steel
Painkiller
Defenders Of the Faith
Screaming For Vengeance
Sad Wings of Destiny
Point of Entry
Sin After Sin
Redeemer of Souls
Firepower
Angel Of Retribution
Invincible Shield
Turbo
Nostradamus
Rocka Rolla
Ram It Down
Jugulator
Demolition
Same number one as me and would have been the same bottom 4 if you swapped Nostradamus for the underrated Ram It Down. For such a great band the bottom 4 or 5 albums are easy with this band
1. Stained Class
2. Sin After Sin
3. Sad Wings of Destiny
4. Killing Machine
5. Invincible Shield.
6. Angel of Retribution
7. Painkiller
8. Rocka Rolla
9. Redeemer of Souls
10. Firepower
11. Screaming For Vengence
12. British Steel
13. Defenders of the Faith
The rest are unlistenable to my ears.
I’m shocked by how high you both had Rocka Rolla. Number 3? What? Lol. It’s just so average and most people usually put it bottom 3 Even the band themselves have disowned it. They have so many much better albums. But each to his own
For me, it’s when I first heard it and how it connected with me. I know it’s odd but it’s one I reach for quite a bit.
