Should have worn your power ranger suit 😮 Looks good but I really cannot wait to get off my 125 😂 Glad your channel is growing, keep up the good reviews 👍🏻
Had a black and gold 23 plate as my learner bike. Loved every ride and the size helped me prepare for a larger bike feel. Would still have it now if I didn’t do my full licence
Thinking of buying one of these. Last time I had one was 10years ago and was an Aprilia RS 125 from 2005. Will this be a good bike to restart my biker days ? Thanks.
They are not as good as your last RS 125 but they are a decent option. Good performance and great looks. If you want them to last though you have to make sure you look after them. Regular services etc. 👍
These are decent for a first bike. Nice looking and decent to ride. But with it being a sports bike riding position they are not the most comfortable bike out there. It’s the same on all sports bikes. But if it’s the style you want then it’s a good choice.
As a cheap sports bike it’s very good. Your height won’t be a problem with it. Always best to go and sit in one first though and make sure you feel comfortable.
im really confused with the cbt, because when taking the cbt do you have to take a theory test or have a drivers license. also can you have passengers after getting the A1 lisence
The CBT will allow you to ride a 125cc or below on a road with L-plates. You will need at least a provisional driving licence for that. You can’t carry passengers until you have passed your theory and practical tests.
I had the Lexmoto (can’t remember the model name but it was the one based on the Honda CG125) Absolute turd Carb would clog up regularly from rust inside the fuel tank It was 4 years old Absolute dross I hope they’ve improved!
They are still cheap compared to others. They have improved quality but they are not quite at the standard of the Japanese bikes or the better Chinese bikes.
Hold on your giggle berries have now turned into plums, that's some torture to endure 😂😂 Big bike looks for little money that's what a lot of learners like to have.
I wish everyone in the UK used motorcycles more Less traffic congestion. More green. Less parking space needed (we live in a small island ffs) And collisions between motorcyclists aren’t as dangerous as between a motorcycle and car Rather than EVs, Government should have encouraged motorcycle usage for personal transport for contexts like Commuting to work, picking a kid up from school etc. Literally a perfect solution but nah muh EVs 🤓
No. In the uk you just need to be 17 years old or older and have completed your CBT then you are good to ride for 2 years. Then if you want to stay on a 125 you just do another CBT. Or if you want a bigger bike you have to do the theory test.
There are so many good bikes out there. If it was me now I would be considering any one of these Yamaha MT125, Benelli bn125, Keeway RKV or v-cruise, Suzuki gsxs 125, but it comes down to personal taste.
Please guys, dont buy Chinese bikes, you will regret it... a brand new one wont make it to 10000 miles without it causing you a million and one headaches, do some research and dont take this guys word for it, riding it once does not show how terrible it is or could potentially be, if you plan to keep it for more than 6 months, get a Japanese bike.....
I know someone that bought one of these last year. His has 8000 already so I will keep you posted. I do get what you mean and I do have a theory. If you buy something expensive you are more likely to look after it. Pay for services, clean it, keep it out the rain etc. however most people buy Chinese bikes because they are cheap. That could be because they don’t have more money so they don’t keep up with the servicing, it could be that that just needed a bike and it was cheap so they really don’t care about it so they leave it out in the rain and don’t maintain it etc. but people who spend double the price on Japanese bikes buy them and look after them? It’s just a theory. Would a Japanese bike last if it was being abused and not looked after?
My son is looking at one of these for his first bike. Thing that attracts me is spares are cheap so when he drops it spare side parts won't break the bank. Cost has to be a factor as he is just coming up to 17, at college and only has a part time job so I expect he will be looking at me for a bit of financial help and I'm not that flush. Will certainly look at second hand Yamahas etc though. I used to have the old Honda CB125 twin, loved that bike. I did kind of regret selling it to buy a crotch rocket Yamaha RD250LC. How many on here remember being able to ride 250s on L plates for as long as you liked? I have heard these don't like getting wet which is a bit of a worry.
Yes mate ride 250s for ever back in time but too many young riders were gettingkilled so th law was changed can u imagine from a 50cc ti a 250cc is a massivejump i was gonna do it myself but things got messed up thank god they did i rode my 50 like a loony hate to think what i wouĺd av been like on a 250
I really appreciate the laid back, "let's just see how it feels" style of reviews you give us. Unpretentious and to the point. KUTGW. 👍

Thanks mate. 125’s are great bikes to start on. My power ranger days are long gone 😂
Literally just bought a used 22 plate 3900 miles on it its my first ever bike and i love it, cant wait to get my big license though
A great bike to start with. Ride safe 👍

I'm planning to go for my CBT and get a 125, would you recommend this bike for a complete beginner? If not, what bike would you recommend?

@@GillyBikes would this apply if you are 17 or over
Yes. Even if you have a full car licence
@@GillyBikes thank you so much
I'm a new rider could you maybe do a video in when and how to change gears
I might do a quick short covering it.
Do it based on power needed and your current speed
More hill = more power = lower gear
More speed = need higher gear

I agree. All of these cars on the roads with just 1 person sat in them. They should get on their bikes 👍
So im 17 next year do u think this is a good beginner bike ??
They are a good option at 17. Best thing though is go and sit on a few different bikes and see which one fits you best.
