Probably because they were afraid it would break the game. In Adamantium Rage, they had a hidden timer with a robot girl that would be instant death if she caught up. So while you could stand still and heal, doing it for too long would kill you.

Now that I think of it, the premise of this game is similar to the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie "The Running Man". Because Spider-Man and the X-Men are forced to participate in deadly games that they must survive, or die trying.
Nice work showing how to do it the right way. I still have the original SNES thanks to my grandmother--God rest her soul. With the exception of Cyclops, their uniforms were up-to-date (in 1991-92). The X-Men had just split into 2 books and Storm is wearing her black Gold Team (Uncanny X-Men) uniform. Wolverine had been wearing his orange and brown suit for 10 years before someone decided to revive his "original" yellow and blue uniform 5 or 6 issues into (unprefixed/"New") X-Men. Cyclops is still wearing his 2nd X-Factor uniform, which was 2 uniforms older than the then-current blue and yellow with straps. Furthermore, Cyclops's X-Factor had been absorbed back into the X-Men and its name was given to a then-new team led by his brother, Havok.
This takes me back. Took me for ever to finish this game
That's one funky ass soundtrack
This game is so fucking hard lol hats off for conquering this game
OMG. That Storm level gave me so much anxiety. And she's my favorite X-Man.
Never could beat this game. But now that I've seen the ending... I have one question. What the frell is Spiderman hanging from in the end sequence?!
Show of hands, who else is here to see how close Jared is to getting past the Juggernaut? ✋
Hardest game ever, you make it look so easy! Excelent video
There's an offscreen card refill that allows one to spam the wheel. Idr where exactly, i feel like its near 42:35 maybe? I remember it being a leftward jump but it's been so long.
No, it wasn't cards, it was like stars or something to farm lives maybe?
52:17 It was such a shame they had this awesome version of Storm in the game, but you literally only got to play her for 30 seconds. They should have put the torturous underwater version here and given Storm a fun level.
I want this game back so bad man used to play this alot way back than
Most frustrating game because I loved everything about it except how hard it was
I played this game when I was kid. and is only me or this game was so creepy back then, specially this songs, and the Wolverine stage
It was insane at how flawless you needed to be in the juggernaut fight......
Oh boy! LJN game! I hope AVGN will review this 😂
The under water Levels... Still traumatized
I, along with my fraternal twin brother, liked renting/playing this game. We never beat it, came close. Great soundtracks, interesting game mechanics, cool plot, and overall a pretty good game.
The only level my family and I could ever beat was the first Spider-Man one.
15:07: Wolverine vs clowns. This level was wild.
One of the hardest SNES games, if not the hardest SNES game. Absurd difficulty level for a kid to play.
Never could beat this game as a kid. Back then you played games even if you didn’t like them and this was one of them. It had potential, but even as a kid I knew it wasn’t great. I think if the difficulty was tuned down a bit, it would have made it a better game. Tons of nostalgia with this though. Just the music and sound effects brings me back
The 1st game that I ever had a love/hate relationship with 😬
What was the second?
I'd have to say Cybernator
@@trifeloco battletoads
@@solidsnake8331 yeah I hear you on that one
Something about this game makes it so haunting and it’s not the difficulty.
Loved this game. The music just made it so intense everytime I played it. Not sure if just me though but wolverines stage was always the creepiest with the clown laughs
14:06 that death cry, lol. “Whoa!”. Also, it looks like Rhino then rams into Cletus’ ass after and kills him
15:21
16:48 That laugh always get nervous
I like how Spider-Man is the only one with a real job.
I still wanna be an adventurer when I grow up.
Yo this is giving me so much nostalgia vibes that spider sense sound....
I had this game. It was brutally hard but not impossible. I remember beating it multiple times. Absolutely bonkers final boss.
