@@QuadRomb What difference?
To the listener, subtle differences in dynamics and tone.
To the player, subtle differences in inatation, neck scale and shape. Held at a slightly different angle.
That cheap is a negative is only implied by your reply. It is a good, cheap guitar.
Don't forget, I thought it was so good I bought one.
Mine unexpectedly snapped at the neck after 6 or 7 years. Only strung with 10s too.
Edit: Guilty as charged on the fettish. That said, there are guitars and there are guitars. TH-cam comment section not the best place to highlight why, but it's true none the less.
Vai you are still amazing!!! Seeing many young guys with exceptional talent like Matteo, but Vai you paved their path a long time ago! Thankful for your exceptional talent and beautiful music ❤
He makes it look so effortless. Love the way he “massages” the note for vibrato. The Master!
Paul gilbert that is
Such a great artist. Always taking risks and trying to create new styles with inspiring tones and new colourful songs. You are my favorite since and for ever man!
Instantly recognizable. Not just the sound but also the note choices, phrasing and audio synchronicities. That is pure greatness
That's absolutely insane! Incredible!
I've never heard anything like this before!
The chords are bordering dissonance - and yet with the melody it resolves to flowing, sweet, beautiful music. Tears, man! So beautiful...
Opeth. Listen to the Ghost Reveries album.
these evil chords are tasty AF
Tell me about it
Yeah they are very erotic sounding… I mean exotic sounding muahahaha
Been diggin through the comments lookin for muh theory nerds... lo and behold, the badass Shred himself. Yeah what a tasty, very different, chord progression/ perpetual modulation. Can we get a breakdown sometime? 😁
This is a wizard behind any guitar.
steve, your jams have healed my soul for over 30 years now. seein ya rock a hollowbody is godlike. happy holidays.
Hey, cool. Fellow long time fan here. Started following Vai in the '80s when he was with Zappa! One of zappa's records credits Steve with: "Impossible Guiyar parts" and "stunt guitar". Peace ✌
Whatever he plays, He will always sound like Steve Vai🔥
No one can imitate Vai
nope, sound like joe satriani
@@smoothjazzfusionslowbluesb2630 steve vai and js are totally different. Both have their own amazing styles.
@@smoothjazzfusionslowbluesb2630 you obviously hear a lot of similar stuff considering he taught him but steve vai made his own sound for himself
I wouldn't have guessed Steve had one of the more relevant modern bits in this style after all these years. I'm sorta blown away honestly. It's a good tune, not just elaborate video game stuff
Pure ecstasy on a musical level for my the first time in surely 5 years. I love the song and Im very happy Steve is back on this level. Wow!!!!
I love how the Zappa is still in him. Vai is so creative and unconventional. I've been playing for 25 years and yet I watch him with my head sideways in awe, much like a dog that's curious. Between this song, Knappsack, & Candle Power, the new album should rip.
I hear too some Zappaish in this song.
Still it sounds Steve alien guitar. But half acoustic Ibanez. How he make that sound like using whammy bar?
He is so great.
I heard it the entire song. Zappa chords, Zappa progressions, Zappa drums. It still has Vai melody with a few nods to some things Zappa used to do. Still Steve enough to be his own thing, but the Zappa influence is all over this song.
@@jppagetoo love it. I'm glad others hear it too. So good.
Steve is the best beast. Master player, composer, creator, innovator, improvisor. He and the guitar are one. My personal favorite out of so many master players. His sound and input into ibanez guitars....his pick ups....use of trem....
First new music to move me in a long time. Effortless composition and performance. Giving me chills down my spine.
Personally, this is Steve's finest album. Just, WOW.
At first I wasn't too impressed with it, but after sitting down and listening to the whole thing a couple of times I can agree this is his best work. There are some absolute gems in there including this song
@@lordofleaves257 There’s very little that compares to Passion And Warfare for me, that said he did really well on this album. But I don’t think he’s ever made records that are objectively bad.
@@MusicissuperiorEVHROX316 haven't heard all of his records but I get the feeling he's never produced a bad one. I think he can sometimes get into the what I call the Joe Satriani wave, where it's just a bunch of technically cool stuff that doesn't really hit you know what I mean
@@lordofleaves257 Oh yeah totally, but that can happen with any of these guys. Some of the songs are more pretentious than others, but not every record can be Passion And Warfare, I guess.
Real Zappa vibes from this one. This feels like something that could've been on The Ultra Zone. Love it.
I love the fact that you are always experimenting with the guitar and still getting awesome music from it. One of a kind
As always: you just need to hear three notes to say: this is Steve Vai. 🤘🏽
One of his greatest solos of many great solos and compositions
Man, I can't get enough of this song, since it came out, I've been listening and watching this video a lot. Added to my favorite songs for sure. Incredible writing and performance, as usual. Love you.
06:08 I loved this part! The sound of this riff with the all other sounds, including the stronger drum
the most amazing thing about steve is his all in willingness to share his music with us all..the greatest gift ....because music is immortal..it never dies...there will always be another song...the greatest gift indeed.....and his tone is always just so mesmerizing and i learn something new from steve every time i see and hear him and cant honestly say i have ever seen him playing a semi hollow ibanez like that...but it makes sense. You can really here it in the intro piece...amazing piece steve....isnt it great to be human and to be able to create and share with us all your calling in this world...piece be with you brother and be well..
Always genius…with feeling…one of the most creative musicians of our time. Thanks Steve for your contribution to the creative arts and especially music. Keep on creating bro. God speed.
One of the best I've heard. Love the arrangement and vibe.
Steve Vai, sempre representando nossa ancestralidade incorporada no momento contemporâneo!!!
Pure original guitar music, Steve always comes with melodies and chords never heard before. One day to go for the new album :)
Si ce n'est pas un cadeau de Noël ...c'est une perle en tout cas ...chapeau le Magicien ...on voyage en permanence , presque une valse ...!!!
Absolutely Amazing! Vai is a Great Modern Composer of the World!
Strange and beautiful music as always. Thank you for this Steve, much appreciated \m/
Two picks solded in one body...thanks for all your music...and much more...
We Will wait.......
Even on a giant jazz box of a guitar, Steve still sounds like Steve.
He's still got distortion on, still setting up the signal path as with his other sig guitars.
he's mimicking
Yeah I think it is recorded on a Jem or a Pia
언제나 좋은 음악을 만들어주셔서 감사합니다.
Steve is a treasure
❤love it ..Mr steve
Steve is auditioning for Robert Fripp’s next band. This is so out there for him. Totally different. A little Fripp. A little Belew. A little Zappa. Love it! Seriously though. A Fripp/Vai collaboration? We need that.
Why would steve vai have to audition anywhere? He's steve vai, they should pay him to work with them
I mentioned that it reminded me of King Crimson as well.
Qué mágico regalo de navidad. ¡Steve es increíble!
