Ler is literally one of the nicest, most generous people I've ever met. I'm proud to say he and his wife Shane are actually friends of mine in real life, as is Claypool. I've met Tim and Jay Lane a couple times but I doubt they'd remember me. Many years ago Ler told me that whenever there's a PRIMUS show I wanna go to, just text him a week in advance and let him know which show it is and he'll take care of tickets for me. I've seen PRIMUS thirty-something times as of this most recent Farewell to Kings tour, and I haven't had to pay to see PRIMUS once since we became buddies. He couldn't possibly be a nicer guy, and he's absolutely hysterical. He and Les are two of the funniest individuals I've ever met. Every time I've gotten to hang out with them after shows (sometimes before) we always end up laughing out asses off. Both Tim and Jay are extremely nice guys as well, I just haven't spent as much one-on-one time with them as I have with Ler and Claypool. -

Love the Spyz shirt Herb is rocking @2:35. Those guys were one of my favorite bands growing up, along with Primus, Bad Brains, Fishbone, Praxis, Helmet, Living Colour, Egypt, etc, etc. Jimi and Rick from Spyz were and are still great musicians, as are them boys above from El Sobrante. Almost forgot that Brain played in Primus for a minute, then left and joined Praxis for a bit, then re-joined Primus. If he hadn't broken his foot, would we ever have gotten the chance to experience Herb the Ginseng Drummer? Hmmm. Both of those guys are monster players, each in their own right.

They remixed Fizzle already, unfortunately, so if you're not happy with that mix it will be a while. I personally LOVE this mix of Seas of Cheese, the bass is crunchy and in your face. Also loved Les talking about Fish On and talking about how the song represents the fight of a fisherman vs. a fish on the line. Great stuff!

I always chuckle a little when musicians poo poo their early stuff. "We thought we knew what we were doing..." More often than not their early stuff is their best. They know it too on some level I think which is why when you go to see them live they mostly play their old songs.
