first off i love your hair!! just had to get that out of the way lmao. i TOTALLY agree with you that there should be a novella (i for one want a full book exploring their past as well) for the parents in Don’t Want You Like A Best Friend!!! the little snippets we got of their past and present played with my heart so much wnwnskdkkd YOU DEF NEED TO READ THE NEXT DOOMSDAY BOOK!!! i gave the first one 3 stars but i gave A Nobleman’s Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel 5! it’s so great and LUKE ALL GROWN UP and how it ties into the first one is so amazing, it’s one of my favs of the year so far! i hope you enjoy if/when you ever get to it!!! you mentioned you’ve read other KJ Charles books but if you haven’t already read The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting you should! it’s what sparked my interest in queer historical romance & i’ve reread it twice this year so far lmao -- i’m new to the genre and i remember you mentioned Cat Sebastian but i also wanna rec You Should Be So Lucky by her!! it just came out recently and is amazing! one of my favs of the year as well lol
OMG!! Thank you so much for the compliment and all the recs! Yes i'll definitely be reading the second Doomsday book! I'd love to see Luke as he develops from a shy teen to a young man, and see any cameos Joss and Gareth have 🤞 I've only read one other series by KJ Charles so I'm definitely going to look at more of her backlog. Same with Cat Sebastian; I've only read one other of her books, and wasn't sure about You Should be so Lucky bc I usually don't read historical fiction sooner than like, 1910?? But if its good I'll have to add it to the list lol
I know!!! The one thing stopping me from actually buying a copy (although maybe I could re-bind it? 🤔) It does give me hope to not judge so many books by their covers and take a chance on more ugly ones to find the gems inside LOL
Can I just recommend the last binding trilogy by Freya Marsk, to like everyone (but specifically people who like queer historical romance, with added fantasy)
already looking to download this books
great video btw ♡
I hope you enjoy them!
