OH God be praised! Some Bach at last! And Jonathan picked a wonderful piece to play. I believe it was Virgil Fox who commented years ago that the Bach trios were among the most difficult works to perform. Great job Jonathan.
Please up the video quality to 4K :)
Oh, the sweet-sad memories, which come back by hearing this work! Such wonderful years, days, people, love, optimism!
You two are so generous with your time and extraordinary talents. Many thanks.
These Triosonaten were written for Bach's son! J.S. said if his son could play these well, he'd believe his son is (was) really an organist!
Tough criteria!
This is yet another proof that Jonathan is *The Real Deal!*
Brillante como siembre Jonathan. Mi aprecio desde Querétaro (México) Juve Flores. Aplausos y felicitaciones. Incomparable.
Nothing better than Jonathan playing Bach!
I studied this Triosonata, also the Sixth (which I also performed in concert), and the Fourth (which I also recorded).
And I can say that, in my opinion, overall, this is certainly the most difficult of Bach's 6 sublime Triosonatas.
Together with the Fifth, I think... 🙄🎹😅
Crisp, articulate, uplifting performance. Nothing like some Bach to refresh one's musical senses. Marvelous! Thanks for sharing. 👏👏👏👏👏💐💐🎹🎶
The pieces that sound so simple, but are anything but simple. Well played sir. And very realistic pickup by Tom.

I have not previously heard the Bach BWV 526 Trio Sonata No.2 in C minor. I enjoyed this performance. Thank you for uploading this Jonathan. Nice views of Odense and the Koncerthus Tom.
Incredibly beautiful! Bach and Jonathan go together very well! And the video is also wonderful as usual, Tom, although I love to see you on the piano!
Congratulations to you both on this being your 600th TH-cam video! ❤❤
The first movement is one of my favorite parts of the Trio Sonatas. Thanks for another outstanding performance!
Bach was such a prolific composer. I wonder how many of his works were lost. Nice job Jonathan.
Genialer Virtuose!
Hallo,
Absolute Amazing!!!
Thank you for sharing !!
Bach smiles at you well done!!!
❤❤B B,
With Love from the Netherlands.
I fully agree with you 👌 from Australia
wonderful performance!
The editing on this video is fantastic. Thanks, Tom!
Great music and amazing organist !
❤❤❤
Absolutely amazing Jonathan! 🤗👏👏👏👏👏
Brilliant Bach!! Thank you for this blast from the past, how time flies! Great views of Odense accompanying Jonathan's incomparable playing of this sonata. Thank you both for this. xx
Thank you so much for sharing with us a marvelous performance of this sonata. The second movement is so serene and the outer movements so intense and full of life. Looking forward to you recording sonatas 3-6 at some point.
Gratidão! 😊🫶❤ 🎶🎵
Thanks very much.
This movement is not the easiest, even among the other trio sonatas. I fought for months to learn the Vivace. It's like climbinb the Mount Everest of music.
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Fabulous I was wondering if you have special insurance for your self because you playing the organ is your livelihood Do they have special insurance for that like they do for boxers a boxers hands are insured
The link I sent you includes a recording of the original Richter 1965 performance of BWV 526 from You Tube.
OK OK I get it! the "BACH" in giant letters--message received. If I may respectfully make a suggestion. Perhaps you guys could poll (on line) your subscribers asking what they might want to see/hear performed. Yes that would be shameless pandering to your fan base but so be it. OR you guys could post a list of potential performance works and ask your loyal fan base to vote. I'm just making a suggestion--there is no implied critique. I'm delighted anytime you boys throw us a "Baroque Bone" to nibble on. Cheers
Do you know the YT channel of Frederic Munoz? Organist from the city of Alès in the south of France and who has uploaded a large range of Baroque era works by himself and many others.
@@epincion No I didn't many thanks! I will certainly check it out!
@@petejungen1636 Glad to be useful, the channel is very much biased to French and Basque works but there are quite a few early German as well. Varying quality of recordings over three decades. But lots of real gems
@@epincion EXCELLENT! I love those French works.
