My organ teacher told me that if I mastered the 6 trio sonatas I would be capable of playing anything by Bach, and I found them very hard indeed. This lady's performance is very musical and technically very good; I love the registration on the last movement especially.
The light touch for the pedal notes really separates this performance from others, it is so light and delicate. That, on top of the complex polyphony integral to these pieces, really indicates top-notch organ-playing skills. Big Thank You!! (from Canada)

Wonderful performing, you can feel the harmony and style of Bach through her hands, and yet can set upon the same level of Ton Koopman's version, the registers seems that you handled it under outstanding way, the pedal is so accurate and precisely well played and the manuals are very exquisite on this performing, there is not many like this one in which you can even hear clearly the scales of notes and its sections. These 6 trio sonatas are still very difficult music pieces for a XXIth century organ player. Just imagine what they could have been for a XVIIIth century organ player...

Sorry for my bad English. In the first movement there is much to enjoy! Non legato and several small details that makes me happy. And the final chord is brilliant! When it comes to the second movement, well...I want to hear some ornaments, especially after you allready have played the theme one time. I hope you will continue like this, good balance between manuals and pedal. You dare to finish the movements without killing the music with ordinary ritardandi in the end.

Re-listened to this recently and I STILL LOVE it! Thank you so much for such a wonderful performance, the music was very crisp, lively and highly technical, likely how JSB intended. The pedal work at 9:00 was such a great intro for the fugue in 3rd mvt Satz Allegro!
These sonatas were written by JSB for the eduction of his son(s) , but they go far away from the study exercice and are all 6 masterworks. This sonata in c moll is perticularly moving due to its minor tonality.. The tempo and rregistration is perfect.
Sehr schön, Katja. Sie haben recht wenn Sie das Largo sehr langsam fühllen. In den meisten Fällen ist Largo langsamer als Adagio, aber ich finde es hier ein biszchen zu langsam. Es ist aber ein wares Vergnügen sie spielen zu hören ...und zu sehen. Ich bin eifersüchtig auf deinem Technik.
Pourquoi certains organistes éprouvent-ils le besoin maladif d' ajouter des ornements inutiles qui de plus ne figurent pas sur la partition! Respectons de grâce l' oeuvre de Bach. Je joue de l'orgue et j' apprécie la sobriété magnifique de Jean-Sébastien.

Cosi' come non si puo' forzare un sudamericano ad avere il rigore di uno scandinavo. A me piace questa interpretazione, il suo cuore lo sento, batte diverso dal mio ma c'e'. Katja Sager All you need to do is play the second movement Andante instead of Largo, and most importantly the pedal line needs to be legato. I would put an oboe in the upper register, and more tremolo. Otherwise - Brava!!!

The pedal is just seen but not heard.
Otherwise it would have been a real master piece.
