I'm 58 but I feel like I have one foot in the grave. I am grieving a terrible series of losses. Videos like this one help me make a plan to start again.
The pandemic is part of being lonely and depressed. Loosing friends because of different views on what’s going on in the world today is very disconcerting and frustrating.
I am 74 but still feel 54, I find that if I have my make up on , hair combed and wearing comfortable clothes that I feel great inside and out. Also having gratitude for good health as well as many other things is a game changer. Great video, thank you
Ditto!!! I a tad younger and find that having my make up on, perfume and dressing comfortably I feel youthful and energetic. Even while I take my afternoon nap. lol. Yes, great video! Oh and don't let your older friends take the joy out of your stories, I don't see the purpose OY
Rose here. 75 with RA but grateful for every day. Simple things like morning coffee, watching the day unfold, the feeling of chicadees feeding from my hand. Books, music, rest, meditation, a few lovely friends and airB guests. Your videos! These are what bring me joy. I look younger and healthier than I am because I feel happy. I feel happy because I take care of myself, set boundaries, and eliminate toxicity and stress from my lovely and meaningful life. Cheers to a another year!
I am 69 ,but today I feel 35..My Mom was 98 and I asked her to close her eyes and tell me how old she felt. Mom told me,"16" and she always had the sparkle and joy that went with her answer. Humor was her constant companion. I strive to feel 16 and with Mom as an example I might just make it!🙂 Thanks for the video and sparkle you send. Happiness 2 all. 🙂❤✌
Arthritic hips/bursitis make me feel far older than I am. Excruciating pain ages you. I am 67 and walk around like I’m 97 some days. In the next several months I will have two hip replacements, one at a time. Everyone tells me I will get my life back. Looking forward to it.
Not wanting to get out of bed is a sign of depression. When I was at my worst it wasn’t that I wanted to be in bed, just was too depressed to get up. It’s something you can’t control
Thank you for this. I am 63, moved to Germany 2 years ago, bought an old house and started to renovate it to open a little air b&b which will start to operate shortly. I was terrified when arrived here and people being negative about me starting another chapter in my “old” age didn’t help. I did all the wrong things listed in the video. Every single one of them. And then an aha moment came to me and I started to feel really, really good about my journey in life, about knowing myself better and my decision to move here. I don’t know exactly how old I feel inside but definitely much younger than I am. What is more important is that unlike when I was younger, I am now completely sure that what I am doing is right and don’t care what others think about me, my life and my choices. I am completely free and it feels good. I never felt this way before.
......I love your words. Yes, you are able to do Anything that you are physically and emotionally can handle. I'm so Sincerely Happy for You, in Your New Life. Germany is beautiful. I sent three years there , when ex was in the service... in the 1970s. I am 69. My life is so much better than when younger. More confidence, etc. YOU Keep on doing YOU !!! Take care.
How can I smile when I am so unhappy in this relationship that appears perfect on the outside but my husband continually argues and disrespects my opinions and wishes
Feel young, feel old. Depends on the day/my health. Glad to have found you. Just quit my job of helping others. Going to help myself now. A new start/path forward, so finding you was timely. What a lovely person. Been needing more of your type in my life for a long time. Watched a # of your videos this morning. You are like a breath of fresh air. Thank you. I am 78
I was in a abusive marriage and I’m starting to feel myself again working each day to do good for myself and others. The problem I am finding is people don’t like my cheerfulness or go to attitude especially at work. I have a man gossiping about me to others to try and make me look bad. He is a miserable person. Trying to stay positive because I love my job.
Could I suggest you watch Richard Grannons work on narcissism.? The abusive relationship you suffered has possibly caused a trauma. I have PTSD and I can relate to your problem. Perhaps you need healing ? Said with much care,
Document what this man is doing in case you need to report him. I don’t know if you work in an unionized Workplace or the state laws but where I live management is responsible for the work environment. There might also be rules against workplace harassment/bullying. Nobody should be made to feel uncomfortable by a gossip monger. Take good care of yourself.
Good posture really matters to look younger than your age. Especially today, when many of us spend time looking down at our phones or at a keyboard or straining to see a computer screen. Next time you are in public, look at how many people walk with their head forward from their body. It is alarming, as this puts a lot of strain on your neck. Your head is about as heavy as a bowling ball. Imagine lifting one straight overhead, with your arm straight up. It would be balanced so the arm would not be super strained. Now imagine moving the ball forward, how much stress it would take to keep the ball from falling. A lot of neck problems stem from bad posture. Get some glasses that help you see the distance to your computer screen and lift up your phone so you are not looking so far down. The middle of your computer monitor should be at eye level, if possible. And most importantly try to get in the habit of checking your posture a few times a day, perhaps when you use the bathroom, as a reminder. Just stand with your back against a solid wall, shoulders back. The back of your head should touch the wall, as should the flat of your shoulder blades. Try to absorb how that good posture feels. Eventually it will become a good habit to stand straighter with your head aligned with your spine. Bonus is, you will look taller! Edit: A fun thing to note is if people treat you differently when you stand tall. I have noticed when I am out and about, if my posture is good I get more positive interactions.
When I was younger if I had to dash out I would grab my lipstick, now I'm 63 I grab one of my lovely bright scarves and not only do they brighten my face, make me cozy and cover my neck, they are a conversation starter! I think one of the greatest gifts as we age is wisdom and we should share it especially in these times. Thanks so much for your channel. Jayne.
I am 63, and feel much younger. I walk almost every morning weather permitting. I am a widow, and retired from healthcare. Some of the signs of depression are isolation, staying in bed, and extreme negativity. If you are doing these things, please discuss this with your family DR! Thank you for your post!
Always told I look 10 years younger and most of the time I feel that. I’ve asked my 20year old grand daughter and a friend to put together some winter outfits for me and they’ve agreed with great enthusiasm😀
Thank you for the list. My first child was born on my birthday and is turning 50 and it makes me laugh because I feel 50 and I cant believe I have a child turning 50. I will celebrate with him with complete joy!!
I used to feel young. I didn't think of age but then my sister died of ca and then election day 2020 I came home to find my vibrant husband dead and now I feel old and bent over and scared and disassociated and just making it in the moment and falling behind and making Christmas for my family and grandchildren. This morning I was dancing and now the anxiety is back. I am wasting so much time when there is so much to do. And, I am a therapist! Lol
I find when I get my hair & nails done I feel younger right the way. A little make up and the whole outlook on life changes. But everything depends on our attitude really. The key is to train our mind and practice those points that Margaret brought up. Smile and live your life to the fullest the best way you can.
1. Being out of style 2. Sleep depreciation 3. Grumpiness 4. Fixed mindset 5. Keeping yourself isolated 6. Worrying about everything 7. Being a couch potato 8. Laying in bed most of the day 9. Being negative 10. Holding on to anger
Most of the time, I feel 16 - 30. "Be a warrior, not a worrier. Fight for the life you may have left behind." That struck home, because my mind drifted today of things I wanted to do, that I have allowed to pass me by, and felt a horrible sense of regret. Time to rewrite that bucket list! Just found this channel yesterday, and love it. Your natural effervescence is a breath of fresh air. Thank you!
Great advise! I agree in everything you say but I miss one key activity : excercise !! By that i mean do anything that works for you , could b walking, dancing swiming , jogging, belly dancing, gardening ...just DO NOT SEAT . When you move, all your body functions improve, the brein gets more oxygen, oxitocine is released and stress hormones decrease. And in this corona times, will boast your immune system. 💃
I find staying busy is key for me. I work in my yard mowing, & gardening & exercise on my stationary bike, will be 75 next month on the 8th, I am told I look young I never smoked or used alcohol or partyed. I was not a Saint but slow. I am divorced now. I have one grown daughter no grandchildren. I love the Lord. I am not in a relationship yet. Companship would be great. Enjoyed your 10 things that make us look older. I love to keep an open mindset for learning new things. I love reading & watching game shows keep your mind sharp.
I decided to make a comment tonight. I am 82 and never feel my age. I had someone tell me today that I am lovely from head to feet. I care for myself and treat others as though they are important which they are.
Agree 100%! I’m 68 next month. I’m not sure what age I feel I am or what age I look, but I’m happy to be 68 and healthy. Movement is crucial to me. When I was almost 60 I had a knee issue that I feared might turn to surgery. I began a daily exercise routine, mainly postural exercises (Egoscue), very easy on the body. Two months to the day I began exercising, my knee recovered. No need for surgery. I started doing face yoga at 63 which has positive effect on the brain and attitude towards self care/love. All the smiling poses induce joy to the brain. It’s scientifically proven. When I turned 65 I bought a stationery bike (height of the pandemic). I spend 20 minutes a day listening to upbeat disco type music, past and current and do what I call “bike dance.” I lost 12 pounds during Covid when plenty of my friends complained of gaining weight. Last month I joined the local senior center where I play ping pong, learn line dance and, yes, knitting. I am having a blast. I have studied Spanish every day for years. I’ve learned to play chess. I’m saying all this just to express that if you have decent health and want it to be even better, you can make it happen. Even as cliché as it sounds, a positive attitude is so so critical to having a positive life. I appreciate every minute. I try very hard not to take anything for granted. Thank you for your input, Margaret, all of your wonderful videos❣️
I love your attitude ! I am 66. I walk an hour and a half daily. I had knee problems but never had surgery. I do yoga as well and other exercises. I also have an exercise bike that I need to use daily ! Thanks for the inspiration !
I’m 61, but feel 45- ish. Until I look in the mirror! I’ve decide to embrace whatever I look like. It is a miracle that we are breathing, walking around, talking, etc. A miracle. So holding on to what I used to look like or feeling ambivalent about how I look now is a waste of this beautiful time I’ve been given. I walk, get sleep, have retired so reduced my stress, have a very happy marriage, lift moderate weights with Pahla Bower on TH-cam, and practice gratitude daily. Life is so good. Don’t forget to blast some music and dance, do the dishes, vacuum, paint, whatever. Music moves us.
I really enjoyed the video! I feel younger than my 61 years. When I was working, I was always tired, and felt old. Then my husband and I retired, and have been traveling for 12 years. Recently we bought an apartment in Georgia (Europe). Now we are in the process of renovating it and having the time of our lives!
I certainly feel and look much younger! These days I went to an event and got so many compliments about my looks and I really needed this to boost my morale after so long in isolation!
Thank you! This video was a reminder to me to adjust my thinking .You can fall into a bit of a habit that you’re not aware of. I am 68 but honestly feel 30 ! I am determined not to let an old person mentality into my body !! Love this channel ! Thank you Margaret please keep posting !!❤️
I find older woman who are aging gracefully, smiling often, and encouraging of others, is absolutely beautiful and inspirational. Their peaceful ways are comforting. Add to that a woman who has a strong faith in God, and she is magnificent!
I definitely feel and look younger than my age. I feel 49. You will look and feel old if you have the same hairstyle you have had for the last 20 years, wear frumpy shoes, are wearing black eyeliner on your lower lid, and not paying attention to fashion to update your look. We are the most fortunate generation of women to be able to look and feel great past 60!
I will be 60 in just a few months and I keep going, “how and when did that happened?” My hubby and I had our 39th wedding anniversary in July and we just shake our heads because it just doesn’t seem possible in some ways, that it’s been that much time. So no, I don’t feel like I am that “old”. Much younger actually and that is with some pretty bad experiences. Bottom line is, your attitude is everything. If you think and “feel” like you’re old, you will be. If you think and feel like you are younger, you will be.
Thank you for this topic. I have noticed since retiring that I don't always wear makeup when I go out to do errands. This was unthinkable a few years ago. Wearing a mask gives me an excuse I guess. But I do try and dress nicely most of the time. There seems to be a distinct difference in how I am greeted by the sales clerks when I dress up and wear makeup though. Interesting.....
Yes, I've always believed that make up, hairdo, & attire make a difference in service received. It's human nature to respond positively to a well groomed & dressed person. Who wants to interact with a slovenly person? We seek beauty in our lives; lifts our spirits.
One thing I make sure of is not to get lazy. I run a big home and yard with help, especially I like gardening and walking. Also I keep learning on u tube, history and current events. Have to work on some of your suggestions in this video, pleasant I found it. Best to you.
I once went on a business trip. In the hotel I was ignored by the staff until I changed into my business suit. Then they all greeted me and asked if I needed anything. Clothes do matter. Now that I’m retired I wear yoga pants and a soft shirt. So much more comfortable.
Some days I feel 105, and others I feel 35! It all depends, usually on the time of day. One thing I do is never pay attention to what I am thinking about my age or my body when it is late in the evening and time for bed! It is all just coloured by feeling the normal tiredness that comes at that time of day...
I was recently accused of being TOO happy! At 71, life is a challenge, trials may come aand one's body tricks you, but I choose joy. Not sticking my head in the sand - but choosing to see good rather than be negative. The best way to do this is to encourage others in my community. In my head, I am still around 37!!! Especially love chatting with young folk, and I adore teenagers. And to cultivate a strong sense of humour is key....my late husband said I speak in cartoons!
Chronic pain from osteoarthritis is what makes me look and feel older. It’s exhausting. I just had my first hip replaced on April 13 of this year 2022. I am still using a walker, not quite ready for a cane but at least I’m able to drive. I need to have my other hip done sometime this year. I look forward to “getting my life back” as they say. I haven’t slept well for more than a few years due to painful arthritis. My recent weight reduction definitely makes me feel younger. Carrying excess weight is not healthy and makes me look matronly. I am excited to be able to wear garments I had not fit into for years. Favorite pieces I refused to give up and now I can wear them again. I am grateful to still be a vibrant person with a positive attitude. A wonderful topic Margaret. Thank you.
Getting quality of sleep is also very important for our mood and memory. A lot goes on in our brain and body during sleep that is very important including putting short term memory into long term memory. Great topic and video. Thank you.
I'm 66 but don't see myself or feel like 66. I actually feel more like I'm 50. I love dressing stylishly, doing my hair and makeup everyday whether I have some place to go or not. Looking good makes me feel good.
My grandmother always said "Age is a state of mind. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." I feel about 35 and think your attitude (positive or negative) will drive your life experience. Look for the best in people. Help others. Be kind. Approach life and people with curiosity and interest. Continue learning all your life. Get outside and take a walk. Enjoy the sunshine and green world around you. Life is good!
I love your site! I'll watch your videos forever that's how much I like them. I'm almost 74 I feel really great , I put on my makeup and fix my hair and I'm out the door by 6:15. I bump into some other people in my neighborhood and they tell me I look great, it makes me feel good. I'm investigating gyms and will sign up for next month. I don't feel old at all! Every night when I go to bed I'm excited for the next day to come, that sounds stupid but it's true. I walk, I paint, I cook , I read, I talk to others and I like to investigate everything. I'm healthy right now I just love being alive and I know what and how I feel and I don't feel old.
I’m 68 years old and have looked younger than my age. I didn’t feel old until I retired 2 1/2 years ago and with the pandemic, it’s made me feel old. I retired at the end of 2018 and immediately started babysitting my now 5 year old granddaughter part time. I do think that keeps me from feeling old.
I retired almost 1 year ago and during that year I have never felt that old in my life. Worst thing I ever did. I just got a part time job and I’m hoping I get my youthful joy back.
Thanks for the video. I’m 64 and although I may look my age I definitely don’t feel it. I strive to be positive and keep an attitude of gratitude. You are so right about worry and holding on to anger.
I am 60 and feel 45. I actually have more friends that are in their 40's. The friends that are my age never want to go out. I am an extrovert and enjoy talking to everyone. In the last 18 months I let my hair grow to the middle of my back. People say I look younger. So I am enjoying my 40's again lol
Yes! I feel much younger than my years. Now that I am free from so many contingencies, like a job, I'm uncertain what to do with all the free time. I'm use to doing what needs to be done, what I've been told to do. I'm having to learn how to be free... to make choices for fun... to do things because I enjoy them... not having a job limits my finances tremendously! No travels or dinners out, but looking for alternatives is fun in itself. That is a great opportunity, but none the less difficult... from where does motivation/inspiration come? Maybe one day you can address that as a topic?
I am in the same position as you. Just retired 6 weeks ago. It wasn't planned so finances are tight, but so far I am enjoying the freedom to get up in the morning and CHOOSE my daily activities.
Now that my health has improved a lot, I feel more like 50, than 65. Not all day or everyday, but 4-6 hours a day. Thanks to you and someother Y'Tbr's makeup tutorials, and array of uplifting talks. And thanks for mentioning the free to enjoy the years ahead. Like a teenager. No longer are we encumbered by a job, social gathering, and taxiing children, ... unless we chose to. We have the next 20-30 years ahead of us to do as we wish. So yes this encourages me to reframe the/my new reality and be happy for it. Excited for the possibilities, adventures, and opportunities that may life ahead. 🙂
Motivational speaker you are! A big thank you and hug for caring and sharing with us. Seven decades I am, life full of challenges and ever learning. Start tap dancing next month and turn up my Oldie Goldies and dance to the music. Puts a smile on my face coming from my heart and being positive even in the storms of life marches in. I gain strength from above and finding joy and peace. Love all you lovely ladies. You are beautiful .❤
I am just over 60 now, but most of the time I feel like 35. Of course if I was in a race or some thing I wouldn’t be that athletic but unfortunate that I don’t have any, crossing fingers and touch wood, any health problems yet. Wishing everyone on this forum good health and good fitness. And thank you and glad you had these TH-cam videos since this one encouraged me to try not to be so grumpy because of these stupid coronavirus times
Meant to write fortunately not unfortunately but I have no health problems so damn healthy so far Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha that’s funny my auto check route that I am so damn healthy instead of very healthy
Im 71 but living my life in my early 50 to 55 , think its a great video Margaret , not to taken personally but definitely something to stop and think about .. possibly an adjustment… that we can all use :)🌷
I'm totally in agreement with ur analysis of been young and old. you said it all my love... i just turn 55 August 12. but i feel like 35 as long as you get your proper rest, have a heart ❤❤❤ full of love! then it's all about the mind period
On Dec 17 2021 I feel like I was reborn. I discovered Keto/Low Carb and it dramatically changed my life! I lost 46 pounds so far and resolved my type 2 Diabetes off all meds except an occasionally an antihistamine and even then my allergies /asthma has basically gone away. I'm moving alot more; I was everyday. I feel like I've taken off about 15-20 years!
How I feel totally depends on how my thyroid meds are working 😅 Some days I can feel 20 yrs younger, some days 20 yrs older. I love the days I have energy 💖
I am also 74 and always put my make up on, style my hair and wear clothing that is fashionable as well as comfortable. I get complimented quite often and have had younger people tell me they can't believe I am as old as I am. This in itself make me want to keep my self up and put together. Your video just reinforces my thinking. I agree one must work on keeping a positive attitude. There is so much out there to inspire us to keep youthful in the right way.
Thank you Margaret, good message. Becoming a denture wearer can cause one to isolate! Hearing issues even with hearing aides can cause one to isolate! I have a very supportive husband, but he does not have to deal with problems eating and his hearing is good. It’s very difficult so far to find anyone who understands these issues.
Wonderful video! It's true, whatever is on the inside shows through and people see it. Keep living! Try new things, make new friends ( I once read about a centarian who tried to have a friend in every decade of life, from 10 years old up - marvelous idea!). I am 62, feel at least a decade younger. I just got a new job and am going from working at home back to clinical work (I am a psychologist) and I could not be more excited. Will if be physically harder? Yes. (I'll be traveling to different nursing homes.) Will if be more fulfilling? Absolutely! I know this is what I am meant to do and find joy if doing it. Never buy into the idea that your life is over just because you had another birthday. Thank you Margaret for your inspiring messages! 👏👏💐
I agree with all what you say👍🏽 There is another important thing, in my opinion: our posture. When we keep our posture right, we look years younger, also from de distance!😆
I turn 52 today and in the middle of divorce. But I feel so much younger now that I made a decision to get myself out of the miserable life I had for so long.
This is a really good wake up talk for me. I have always felt 33 except during the past 2 years of Covid, I have fallen into some of these behaviors (not bed!). I admire your energy and positive attitude. Thanks for your wisdom!
I've just turned 58, but mentally I feel like I'm a child again. I live in the moment. I appreciate physical sensations and the beauty of nature. That's my happy space. To improve my physical health I've gone low carb/high protein. I've lost weight and feel much more energetic. I work with teen-agers which helps me to laugh and stay creative. I don't give a damn what other people think, I'm quite happy just to spend time musing and walking my dog. There's a great deal of freedom that comes with getting older. There's no one to impress.
I turned 58 in November, and purchased a bicycle for my birthday! I haven't ridden one in over 30 years! I'm also walking more -- up to 7 miles twice a week, and then 4 miles once a week. I take a nap every day, because I'm a night-owl, and I know I'll be up past midnight! I love cookies with my coffee, so I take out 2, put the package away, and then I'm not tempted to eat the entire package. I am currently looking for fabric to make my own summer clothes this year. I LOVE sewing, and in SW Arizona, loose-fitting tops and pants are so much cooler than my preferred jeans and jerseys! I have a nerve disorder in my face, so I can't smile without pain, but I feel happy, and like I'm 30. I refuse to age disgracefully! 😂
I am 63 and feel 45 looking at the positive side of life is healthy and Remembering the Serenity Pray and relax live and let live breathe and let me breathe helps.Much Love from Texas take ❤ care.
Be curious. To be learning and involved in the world keeps me feeling alive. I have many friends that are younger than me by decades but we enjoy each other’s company and conversation. There’s so much to discover
Thank you Margaret for this post. I live in the US and feel some what despondent with the state of affairs in my country. Your words made me question my attitude. I’m interested to know how you made the move to live in Europe..if you don’t mind sharing. Also how is life different from when you lived in the US. Thank you
Tuki, I understand how you feel. I used to live in France for 15 years with my French husband, but then he had the bright idea to move here. There is good and not so good in every location, so I am making the best of being here because my kids are here. But we visit family in France once and now twice a year !
Hi Margaret. I am 63. Inside I feel 45. As I age, I hv grown to accept my physical constraints and to really appreciatw the love and care which surrounds me. Certain points on the video made me laugh as they do resonate with me! 😂
You are a true inspiration. I appreciate how incredibly genuine you are. Thank you for sharing and helping people at our age remember the important things in life. You have helped me to be positive and adjust my attitude. Thank you.
I love this lady! She’s is adorable! My 74 yr old friend at the gym tells me I look good I look good! And I’m still just like a teenager...lol! And I’m 60! No sleep 😴 I feel like death; sleep is vital! I read book after book always have......😘🤷♀️🙋♀️🤦♀️
Im 61, but I think I'm really about 43 or so. My mother is 91 and she really is about 45 and I think she is sometimes in shock that she's 91! My aim is to be eternally young, like my mother. She is amazing. :)
Your article hit so close to home I need motivation I have everything you can imagine here for weight loss except someone to work out with I am retired and all my friends are still working so I stay home and try to do things just having a hard time to feel youngnot again I am not ready to get old yet
Thank-You for such sound information...I am grateful to be healthy and still working in my profession...I agree that isolation from young people is not a positive way to navigate the world. I feel so uplifted by my 30 year old co-workers...They are fun...I find that my peer/cohort are angry/bitter and have a clinical presentation of having been broken by life. Stay safe!!!!!
@@sixtyandme Glad to be here! I really like what you have to say. It's crazy. I feel stronger because I found some support... A world away hahaha I'm from Texas
@@sixtyandme which leads me to say I wanted to order something (those inspirational cards) and you don't ship to the US. 😢 (ps, I really really liked your series on estrangement. Just sayin..lol)
I'm 58 but I feel like I have one foot in the grave. I am grieving a terrible series of losses. Videos like this one help me make a plan to start again.
sending love to you both ❤😊

The pandemic is part of being lonely and depressed. Loosing friends because of different views on what’s going on in the world today is very disconcerting and frustrating.
I am 74 but still feel 54, I find that if I have my make up on , hair combed and wearing comfortable clothes that I feel great inside and out. Also having gratitude for good health as well as many other things is a game changer. Great video, thank you

You go girrrrrrrl I'm 66 and loving life! Peace from Texas!
I'm 67 and look and feel 40
I relate. No one believes I as OLD as I am,due to the make up, hair dye, my own teeth and I don't tell.
Age is not just a number.
Maybe instead of trying to looking younger, it is about being intriguing, pleasant, inspirational, and confident!
Recently I suddenly realized I’m 58! I was busy and didn’t realized I was getting older lol it’s true!
I love your Mom
Arthritic hips/bursitis make me feel far older than I am. Excruciating pain ages you. I am 67 and walk around like I’m 97 some days. In the next several months I will have two hip replacements, one at a time. Everyone tells me I will get my life back. Looking forward to it.

Take care.
At 65 I am the most content with my life than I've ever been. I've had depression my whole life but even that has been abated!
Good to hear when someone's depression improves!👏😀
How can I smile when I am so unhappy in this relationship that appears perfect on the outside but my husband continually argues and disrespects my opinions and wishes
What do you think lessened the depression?(I've been on ant depressants for 20 yrs:-)
Thank you.
I am 78
I am 70 in two mo. I am very glad I found this channel. You are Precious. I feel younger than I am. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Love listening to this lady. She's real and positive without the "pollyanna" type attitude. Someone you would love to chat with like a nice neighbor.
I feel like I’m 50, not 73 !! Love your advices
Don't let them take your smile and love of job. It is
hard to get it back!
Glad you have escaped ignore negative people you are free now, continue to be happy 😊 many good wishes 🌹❤️
Could I suggest you watch Richard Grannons work on narcissism.? The abusive relationship you suffered has possibly caused a trauma. I have PTSD and I can relate to your problem. Perhaps you need healing ? Said with much care,
Rest assured the light will shine through!
I was at the airport and watching a woman knit socks. It was amazing . She was a true artist.
Beverly W SAME HERE! 💗
What is the doctor going to do?
Probably prescribe drugs that have very negative effects.
Always told I look 10 years younger and most of the time I feel that. I’ve asked my 20year old grand daughter and a friend to put together some winter outfits for me and they’ve agreed with great enthusiasm😀
Hi Judith
Thank you for the list. My first child was born on my birthday and is turning 50 and it makes me laugh because I feel 50 and I cant believe I have a child turning 50. I will celebrate with him with complete joy!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Lol
Thank you so much for sharing Virginia. You've been through a lot. Take care x
I really hope you are feeling a bit better now.❤️🇬🇧
Thank you
💖🙏✨✨
I find when I get my hair & nails done I feel younger right the way.
A little make up and the whole outlook on life changes. But everything depends on our attitude really. The key is to train our mind and practice those points that Margaret brought up. Smile and live your life to the fullest the best way you can.
It's not about feeling younger.
Two things that help me :
-Seeing things in a humorous way.😊
-Having an active relationship with God.❤️
Agree totally 😊🥰
Amen!😊🌷
1. Being out of style
2. Sleep depreciation
3. Grumpiness
4. Fixed mindset
5. Keeping yourself isolated
6. Worrying about everything
7. Being a couch potato
8. Laying in bed most of the day
9. Being negative
10. Holding on to anger
Im 63 but feel in my 40's. Love life and stay active
I go out out somewhere every day, always have done this, change of scenery, fresh air, etc. ❤️🇨🇦
Thanks for sharing!!

Oh really, can we be good friends

Good for you!
Hi sandy
I find older woman who are aging gracefully, smiling often, and encouraging of others, is absolutely beautiful and inspirational. Their peaceful ways are comforting. Add to that a woman who has a strong faith in God, and she is magnificent!
I definitely feel and look younger than my age. I feel 49. You will look and feel old if you have the same hairstyle you have had for the last 20 years, wear frumpy shoes, are wearing black eyeliner on your lower lid, and not paying attention to fashion to update your look. We are the most fortunate generation of women to be able to look and feel great past 60!
I feel way younger than my age. Thank you for these videos. You are very inspiring!!
You are so welcome!
The extreme heat in florida is really bothering me alot more than when I was younger..
At 64 I work out every morning, eat right, care about being fashionable and socialize. We have the time so let’s just do it!
Yes!!😊
Almost 10 yrs. now of alone. I think I need to take your advice am mo e forward.
Putting on makeup, even just a little, makes me feel good & ready to greet the world with enthusiasm.
Thank you.
Oh really, how's your health Doing over there , hope it's good goid
Can we be good friends
Getting quality of sleep is also very important for our mood and memory. A lot goes on in our brain and body during sleep that is very important including putting short term memory into long term memory. Great topic and video. Thank you.
I will be 57 in July but I feel always young and I enjoy every single minute I fall in love with life and everything around me is just amazing ❤❤
Hi carol
Hi Harry!!
Hi Liz
I retired almost 1 year ago and during that year I have never felt that old in my life. Worst thing I ever did. I just got a part time job and I’m hoping I get my youthful joy back.
Thanks for the video. I’m 64 and although I may look my age I definitely don’t feel it. I strive to be positive and keep an attitude of gratitude. You are so right about worry and holding on to anger.
Hi Donald
Hi Sheila
I have always thought this saying is true, 'When you look good you feel good, and when you feel good you do good.'

When I don't look in the mirror I feel like I look and feel younger and pretty. When I think of my real age than I feel old .
I just turned 65 but I don’t feel that old 🥰! I love watching your videos your voice is always so calming to me!
I feel about 37, its only when I pass a mirror I realise I am 73. Loving life anyway ❣
Im 71 but living my life in my early 50 to 55 , think its a great video Margaret ,
not to taken personally but definitely something to stop and think about .. possibly an adjustment… that we can all use :)🌷
Hi there
I'm totally in agreement with ur analysis of been young and old. you said it all my love... i just turn 55 August 12. but i feel like 35 as long as you get your proper rest, have a heart ❤❤❤ full of love! then it's all about the mind period
That is great news Ann!!
you ARE BEAUTIFUL -🙏
How I feel totally depends on how my thyroid meds are working 😅 Some days I can feel 20 yrs younger, some days 20 yrs older. I love the days I have energy 💖
I can relate!
Agree, thankful spirit with a good attitude is a real changer😊🥰

I am also 74 and always put my make up on, style my hair and wear clothing that is fashionable as well as comfortable. I get complimented quite often and have had younger people tell me they can't believe I am as old as I am. This in itself make me want to keep my self up and put together. Your video just reinforces my thinking. I agree one must work on keeping a positive attitude. There is so much out there to inspire us to keep youthful in the right way.
Hi Shirley
Love your smile and encouragement ❤️ Thank you and God bless you.
Hi Joan
Thank you Margaret, good message. Becoming a denture wearer can cause one to isolate! Hearing issues even with hearing aides can cause one to isolate! I have a very supportive husband, but he does not have to deal with problems eating and his hearing is good. It’s very difficult so far to find anyone who understands these issues.
Hi Julia

I agree with all what you say👍🏽
There is another important thing, in my opinion: our posture.
Oh really can we be good friends
Listening to this a second time, 3 months later, December '21. Still great content! Thank you, Margaret.🤗
Thanks for listening Carolyn - have a lovely holiday!

Hi carol
I've just turned 58, but mentally I feel like I'm a child again. I live in the moment. I appreciate physical sensations and the beauty of nature. That's my happy space. To improve my physical health I've gone low carb/high protein. I've lost weight and feel much more energetic. I work with teen-agers which helps me to laugh and stay creative. I don't give a damn what other people think, I'm quite happy just to spend time musing and walking my dog. There's a great deal of freedom that comes with getting older. There's no one to impress.
Oh really can be good friends

Hello Margaret! Thanks for sharing your beauty, positivity, and inspiration.
Hi Tyra
Hi Margaret. I am 63. Inside I feel 45. As I age, I hv grown to accept my physical constraints and to really appreciatw the love and care which surrounds me. Certain points on the video made me laugh as they do resonate with me! 😂

Hi Jan
Your article hit so close to home I need motivation I have everything you can imagine here for weight loss except someone to work out with I am retired and all my friends are still working so I stay home and try to do things just having a hard time to feel youngnot again I am not ready to get old yet
Another great video! Thank you!
Great article.👍👏
