Nice work, good content! Speaking of your clean car storage, the sky is the limit. I am a builder in NC and have built several homes that included a clean storage/ showcase garage. The main thing to consider is humidity and dust control. Basically like your personal living space. (Less the kitchen and toilet, lol). Build yourself a lightly raised slab on grade (I’d add onto your shop). Make sure that it is high enough that during a rainstorm water can’t flow into your new building. Metal buildings are a cost efficient route and are readily available as kits. Biggest thing to consider during the finishing is that you have provisions for air conditioning (hitachi mini split systems are awesome, cheap and versatile). Size the unit to be adequate for the space it conditions. E.g. if it is overpowered it runs too short and while it brings the temps down to where you want them, it doesn’t run long enough to pull the moisture out of the air. Feel free to message me with any questions and I’d be glad to talk you through. Godspeed! Patrick
People do talk a lot of crap about the RX8, but I love my 09 Rx-8. If I could I would have also bought an Rx-7 as well. Go with the Dry carbon looks good. Extend the garage.
and youll need to pulla permit for any kind of extensions to the garage. least round here in pompano they crack down hard. idk how its like in tampa tho
@@jesuscervantes7675 I custom ordered 1/2 inch carbon so the pieces would be larger and easier to see. Most places only have 1/8 or 1/4 available but venom carbon will custom make any size you want. I believe i bought 2 lbs and it was around $45
@@jesuscervantes7675 Yeah its a good choice. The smaller sizes are easier to lay down evenly but the 1/2 inch looks better when its finished so its worth a little extra work. I just finished laying twill carbon fiber on the roof of my genesis coupe and it came out amazing. Im editing the video in the morning so it should be up tomorrow. Twill carbon was 10x easier to lay than chopped carbon and requires way less sanding/polishing. Just letting you know in case you also like regular weaved carbon
I just did the top of the hood because the epoxy resin adds some weight. The oem hoods are made of aluminum and only weigh 15 pounds while a fiberglass or carbon fiber hood for the rx8 weighs around 12 pounds. The carbon and resin I used put another 2 pounds on the hood so i didnt want to put any extra weight on it especially since the hood was black underneath so it blends in great. The hoods are light enough to where i figured id just carbon skin a stock hood and save alot of money and not have to worry about installing hood pins. Its structurally stronger than carbon as well and it only weighs 5 pounds more! My genesis coupe hood is steel and weighs like 75 pounds 😂
@@Uhh_srt Yeah I have a bunch of footage of myself making the hood and pillars so Ill include them in one of my next videos. Itll be a “how to” make skinned carbon parts video

Yeah thats true I didnt think about permits. Maybe i could do something less permanent like a carport tent? I need something soon! Haha
Awesome work on the hood man that’s dope. Love the videos g
Thats is beautiful 8
Is this some sort of a coating installed on an OEM hood like a wrap or a liquid??
Have a quick question, I was wondering what sized chopped carbon fiber you got?
And also how many pounds did you get?

did you just skin the top of the hood or did you do the bottom to and laminate them together?

I have a question where can I get the bumper from I love your Rx8
My Rx8 has the original factory bumper on it. Its from the 2009+ model year. You can buy them used off of ebay or new from mazda
@@seanhaight3939 ok thx
i'm honestly really interested to know what you've got back there regarding the pew pew
Maybe one day ill make a video on it. Too risky to make it now 😂
Nice car but ease up on the football cucking
