Built to a budget because the pretty body cost a fortune to create i mean a £7000 back windscreen when they were first built. Mine with uprated bushes and rear chassis brace pisses off ferraris and mclarens through the bends. Had mine 10 years now still loving it. Remapped and michelin pilot sport 4s tyres transform it.
I have to say, this is by far and away the best RCZ video out there. Great stuff. I have not as yet watched your 2.0 Hdi fap review but I will as it's quite appropriate......... I have a serious soft spot for these cars, never even had a French car before to be honest, the design is sublime and has something special about it. I am considering one as a future "daily" (not really a daily, likely used couple of times a week and once every two weeks will have a decent length journey) and for reasons you have mentioned, seriously considering the Hdi. Possibly if I spit one, one of the special editions such as "magnetic" or "red carbon". Although it would be fantastic to stretch out to an R model, can't quite justify spending the money required to get a decent one for what will be a nice "daily".
I have a diesel HDI GT version rcz and I love this vehicle. I’ve looked at swapping it out for other older sport cars (as that’s my thing) for more passenger space but I just can’t part with it. It’s hasn’t caused me any mechanical issues as yet 🙏 it doesn’t do well with on uneven surfaces, speed bumps are a death trap lol but it’s just part of owning this car 😂
You can sit in the back to one side (one leg down one leg under your thigh). In fact you can get two average sided adults in this way. Not good for long journeys, but for a mile or three, it's fine.
Looks absolutely stunning, mate. Shame you had so many issues with it. Do you know what the most common issues with the 200bhp are? Is it the same engine that was in the early 208 GTis? IIRC the 208 GTis were riddled with faults until the THP 208 facelift in 2015.
There are 3 petrol engines not two. The 156, 200 and 267bhp of the R. The RCZ was styled by the same design house that styled the Audi TT. Rather than trying to upgrade this 200 engine, just buy an RCZ R.
The r is in a different league hence why I've kept it out and focused more on what everyday rcz owners are looking to buy plus I've had experience of both so I used it as a chance to compare both so yes it wasn't mentioned you are correct
Mines pushing 240bhp and suspension upgrades for 93000 miles no issues reason i dont buy an rczr is i dont like the facelift i prefer the original design. But everyone to their own. All personal choice.
@@sjm.photos Yebbut the R was a complete package by Peugeot Sport. The Alcon brakes, better suspension, LSD and sports seats. I've probably missed a few things.
Pertrol engine for these cars are just unworkable. These are prince engines which have constant issues while diesel version is bulletproof. They also are a lot rarer and demand greater premiums.
@@LIMITLESSMEDIAUK_ I'm not used in making consciously bad decisions. 😆 I'm considering buying one of those cars now. It is a diesel version, high on miles, decent price. Well taken care off by current owner. If I will sell my car tomorrow, I will consider it. I just miss leather seats as ones in that car are not great. Also, there is no in built navigation. Two things which really are holding me down.
The car is riddled with issues, I had to sell it on cheap as a car with faults as it just started falling apart in my ownership It has two oil leaks - sump and crankshaft seal Smoking oil with suspected piston seal failure Clutch was iffy but worked Thermostat issues
Been looking at getting these in a diesel. This is literally the nicest RCZ I have ever seen😍
I have a review of a diesel one to mate if you haven't seen that ✌️
I have a Red Carbon in diesel. Had it chipped and goes like mad
I was going for a smaller engine but as you said stay clear now I have made my budget stretch to a 200 model

The HDI video is much older video but still packed with great information! Thanks for watching

Confused? Thought you got rid of it !
This was recorded before I sold it 🙂
It keeps being a Peugeot 308 with no room in the back. No way it can compare to an Audi TT, even when the TT is a basically VW Golf coupé.
Rear seat space is okay, similar to a TT
Did you sell this recently? Did the clutch get replaced?
