- I returned to Spassk but fortunately just for two days, relaxed there a bit but didn’t manage to finish the video there, so I decided to film the rest on train! In this video I’ll take you across the whole Primorsky region ending up in Vladivostok, sharing my life updates and telling what it’s like to see war propaganda everywhere…

I'm concerned for her mental health. The way she labels things shows signs of a decline into depression. Talking therapy books could help. She has to be careful of viewing things overly negatively about her own country or town. E.g. is she aware bridges are collapsing in the US too! Over 220,000 U.S. Bridges Need Repair, Latest Analysis of Federal Data Finds 45,000 Remain “Structurally Deficient” and in Poor Condition. It's often in the less posh areas away from the cities which the gov neglects. Plenty of people in the US get depressed too over the government, rising prices, inflation, jobs, what they see as racial disadvantages etc, etc, etc. The point about depression is we can stop it but it's important to get there early and spot the signs. Talking theory is a proven and real solution.

@@APlusRussian No, it was just a call to action. And when i went in to the donation site, there was only 137$ raised, and the deadline for 20.000$ was that day. I checked later in the evening, and they made it. 20.000$ in just a few hours really.. And that should tell both Zack, and Natasha just how much impact they have. 😊 Truly amazing!

In the 1990s I travelled through the western part of Russia by train and guess what: some experienced passengers had can openers and were happy to help out the others who didn't. It's these quaint little things that make Russia special 😁

Yeah who wouldn't want to live in the "land of the collapsing bridge".
Spaask reminds me very much of dozens of some of the small rural towns in northeastern Alabama. These places can seem incredibly oppressive to the young adults who grow up there, and leaving is usually one of the most cherished dreams for those of us who originate from such backwater towns. It is true in many places around the world, not only in the Far East of the Russian Federation. But the world is enormous, diverse, ready, and waiting for you to come and explore it!
You were wise to pay a final visit to your home town and the nearby large city. Perhaps you will never return, there is nothing inherently good or bad about that; none of us bound to the places from which we arise and while we carry with us the vestiges of culture and language we acquired from our socialization, anyone can become any identity they choose within reason. Some people choose to be citizens of the world, and that it seems to me young lady is something like the path you will find most fulfilling for yourself!
But in any event, it is good that you captured these videos of your final visits home. Even if you never wish to return, you can always look back and remember and even when memories are not necessarily "good," we grow from the recollection.
I respect your point of view, but I couldn’t tolerate living in a city. American cities are violent, intolerant, small minded, oppressive hellholes.
I’m also from a small town in Alabama, but in Northwestern Alabama. I love my hometown and still live in the area, but not in my hometown.

Just for talking.. in all countries there's a place like the one she showed us I am Italian precisely Rome even if my city is very rich in culture and history from the ancient Romans to the Renaissance .. there are areas outside the heart of the city where the decay is absurd. life here is certainly not the same as that in remote areas in Russia but we must also understand that Russia is the largest nation in the world St. Petersburg will certainly be more beautiful than a remote village in Siberia .. New York itself is beautiful only in central part already exiting by car from the nerve center of the city is not the same thing
Same here for Australia. I live in the city and love it, and there's also many beautiful and fantastic rural places, but very rundown/remote towns still exist. I think a lot of the issue is isolation, where in very remote places it's hard to get proper access to resources, and if you need a hospital it can take a long time to get there.
The benefit AND downside to cities is that everything is close: important things like hospitals, shops and cultural centers, but also lots of other people, hahaha.
@@Beachgirl1 I have lived in Alabama for 25 years and most of this state is a shithole. Huntsville is very nice and so is south Birmingham Homewood/Hoover/Festavia area. Rural Alabama is full of racist clowns. I'm not saying all people in Rural Alabama are racist but most of them are. Alabama also has some beautiful beaches down in the Gulfs Redneck Riviera.
Same for rural central/south Texas. The town I live in has a population of 3000 and there is nothing to do here. I’m very lucky and fortunate that my employer pays well because most jobs around here don’t. Only upside is that I am about an hour in any direction from several major cities so it makes up for living in the middle of nowhere lol

I heard from a Russian friend (older guy) a while back when a stream of random conversations lead to the USSR and how it was then. He responds "you can look at it now live". I didn't pick up on it for a few seconds till he goes "just scribble Russia and write USSR and color the flag red" and that's when I realized not that much has changed internally.

Natasha.. make sure to take a SEALED copy of your academic transcript from University.. In the USA there are few official evaluation centers you could pick. to send it to.. They will send you an official evaluation of approved credits if you might want to go later on to graduate school..It is much more difficult to obtain a transcript once you leave.. I worked in a department at a college with former university students like.. Just a thought.. Be well!
You must not be aware Russians aren’t getting visas for the USA or many other countries at this point. She’s basically limited to Uzbekistan, China, Syria, n Korea, Serbia, Cuba, Mexico and other pro Putin countries…

Yes.. WIth a university degree from Russia you could go right into a masters degree program here in the USA..There is a few academic companies that do this to evaluate transcripts from foreign institutions.. You would send your SEALED transcript for evaluation..It is just a good thing you have this if you want to have this option later on..If you could have a few sealed copies to take with you when you leave that would even be better..
@@uzeela Russian universities aren’t particularly well known as being very good. She and Roman both have degrees in Chinese translation or something like that, and can’t speak Chinese… oh and I went to SPSU for a semester. Their academic program was a joke, so I know a little about the subject…
@@stevemcgowen .. Still there are credits to be able to be transferred.. I work with students from unnamed places and many credits transferred.. We do not have such a high standard here either in the USA for education.

I think the explanation is a lot more simple than that. More than likely corruption, and somebody substituting inferior materials in the construction and pocketing the difference in the price.

I can fully understand Natasha why you are having a hard time leaving. That would be like asking someone here in the United States to just go move to Europe or Africa or some remote island out in the Pacific. Picking up and moving away from everything you known is a hard thing and it's not an easy decision. Don't be too hard on yourself. I pray God gives you guidance and direction. A lot of bridges have been collapsing where I live in America as well. Our infrastructure was built so long ago and our government does not keep up with maintenance. A large, important bridge that was the only connection between one part of the city and the other has not allowed cars on it in over a year at this point (the West Seattle bridge)-- our city is built on an isthmus and now the only way to get to Seattle is a ridiiiiiiiculous drive. A few years ago a bridge collapsed on a major highway by my hometown (I-5 Skagit River) and the cars fell into the river!!!!
I dread it when certain politicians (not all) tell people they shouldn't have to pay much tax. If people want any public services, including roads & bridges, everyone has to contribute.
@@bengreatorex502 yeah that's incredibly stupid and uneducated view on the life in a society, countries with highest taxes usually have the best standards of living, it just needs to be distributed the right way, wealthiest need to pay the most not the least and corporations too, and then it works perfectly well, well corruption has to be under control too ofc.
To be fair though, the Skagit bridge collapse was caused by a truck clipping it. Not that such a small collision is a good reason for the bridge to fail entirely.
@@ifsck Yeah, and it was already old and in need of maintenance/replacement. I read in article in a magazine the other day that rated bridge safety in Seattle and it was a dismal read. Apparently the double-decked bridge on I5 north Seattle is reaaaaaally bad. I can't help remembering the article every time I drive on it haha.
they are revamping ALL of the bridges in my state. they are afraid of having another one collapse and getting raked over the coals by the media and public for letting it happen.

Spassk looks cool to me. Old school town out in the sticks with no bells and whistles. Love your 'Familia Swamp' too. If you look carefully at the final swamp shot in the trees, you have to squint your eyes, you can just ever-so-faintly see the Spassk Troll eating some 'Delicious that's all' fries.

If you want to live in a hard-ass, fascistic dictatorship, but one that isn't quite the completely corrupt kleptocracy that Russia is, you might want to consider Hungary, Turkey, or Brazil. Or maybe the Philippines. Russia, on the other hand, will collapse as soon as the price of oil drops. They have a tiny economy and are completely dependent upon petroleum, like Saudi Arabia. Beyond that, they have nothing but nuclear bombs.
Outside of Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia is like Mississippi.

We have giant high rise apartment collapse too and our passenger trains are often delayed when they share the same line as a freight train as they are given higher priority. Frankly, I'm sad to see you leave Russia ... your unique commentary on daily life - even when restrained - is always illuminating. Russia is such a mystery to most of us, whereas wherever you are going is likely more familiar. Maybe you'll take your driving test in another country? lol - The sense of freedom you can expect to experience behind the wheel of a car, going wherever you want whenever you want, is something to look forward to. (fyi: Bridges are falling down everywhere - politicians couldn't care less. Stay safe.)
I feel similarly. I love Russia, which is why I follow Natasha. But I know I will still enjoy her adventures, because she will undoubtedly have her own views/thoughts/opinions on wherever she goes, and that in itself will be enjoyable to watch.
She could lose viewers who got into it because of their curiosity towards hidden parts of Russia.
