  • I almost finished my paper and finally had some time to relax and enjoy my last days in Khabarovsk. In this video I will show you my university, city center and remote districts. The month was highlighted by two wonderful findings: new cool pants and a Soviet tram that is very whimsically illuminated from the inside. I hope you like this video!

Good luck girl ! I'm myself from a a poor ex-soviet country , Moldova . And I had the courage to leave that shithole , and now I'm living in Italy for 12 years already with no intention to ever go back ! The first year might seem hard , but once you get over it , it'll be worth , trust me !

I live in Toronto and the majority of people here are either immigrants or the children of immigrants.
Definitely the first few years are hard! But there are benefits too and it is worth it.

@daniiel mlinarics as italian I absolutely agree! What kind of facilities can be better in kazakistan? Sure we have a lot of burocracy to start an activity as to open a coffee shop or whatever. I don’t want to be the classical person Who says: oh my country is better than yours but I suspect that to open some commercial activity abroad

@daniiel mlinarics sorry, i was sayng , to open an activity abroad you must have a very strong reason. Our oil is tourism…. What’s better that have a coffee or a restaurant here in Italy?

That lighting in the Soviet trolley was low pressure mercury vapor incandescent lighting. It was standard in the USA from the early 1960's and into the mid 1980's. It was used in skyscrapers and gave them the same greenish appearance. At night it set the color of the cityscape of glass skyscrapers when viewed from afar. In the US that lighting is so fixed in a period of time that they bring back memories of the period and fixes a mood of nostalgia. But not really a nostalgia for good things, because living under those lights gave a gloomy feeling. The emission spectrum of those lights did not match well with the human eye. At night in a room with those lights, you always felt that something was off with the scenery of the room.

Yes but the, to be picky, old old tram had a yellow golden light. A bit sunny romantic or just warm odd at night. Maybe that's why they kept it.

The LED light bulbs are creepy too. I switched back to incadescent light bulbs which have a filament inside, and the yellow light is much warmer.

Love the deadpan sarcasm. Humour is universal. I love watching videos like this where you can experience life somewhere else, see people you didn't know existed and see what someone elses experiences have been. Sometimes I'll be stuck in traffic on a motorway, looking ahead at all the thousands of cars, each representing a different life, and wonder what those lives are like. What experiences have they had and where are they going?

Natasha, I could really feel the sadness coming from the desire to want to leave your town and leave your country. But your mood has changed in this video and you are embracing your future with a renewed hope. I feel that the universe will reward your actions and don’t listen to any negative criticism of your courageous decision. It is the start of a new adventure for you and I wish you so well. Thank you miss Natasha, for another video produced by you, congrats again! You and your work means so much to me. You are really making a difference for people like me, if only for a moment. I'm very thankful for you and everything you do for this community. I love Russian culture, philosophy and literature in particular Berdyaev. You capture the Russian soul well. I live in US by the way and pray for peace not only here but everywhere in the world. My favourite poet is the American poet, Emily Dickinson. One of her most famous poems is about hope and seems appropriate to this time. Thank you for the hours of effort and care you put into the videos you share with us. I appreciate what you do for us so much. Thank you so much for posting videos almost weekly for us. You and your work means so much to me. You are adorable! Hey Natasha, I've been watching your vlogs for about a year, and I'm glad to see that you are still up and in reasonably good spirits. You should consider Canada as a final destination. We are the most immigrant-friendly country in the world, and (in Vancouver, where I live) we have thousands of cherry trees in bloom every spring -- so many that we have a problem with "pink snow" on the streets. You would be very comfortable in Canada, and you would find lots of like-minded people and plenty of opportunities to thrive.

TRAMS ! Thank you for the trams pictures. I use screen capture and make paintings of them.
There are many many people around the world who make videos of trains and trams, and even more people who watch them.
They are called "railfans." You could expand your audience by including more trains and trams.
Especially unusual ones. Trains and trams that are still running, not so much old dead ones.

That type of tram, I remember it from a trip to the Soviet Union under Gorbachev. We (a tourist group from Holland) were in a hotel in Moscow and international football was on TV. Russia was already out of the game but Holland was still in. As soon as Russian guests discovered there were Dutch in the same hotel they joined us cheering our team. Good times. Good sports! 😊

Initially I started watching your videos because I was planning an overland expedition to Vladivostok, but I guess we all know that's not possible anymore for EU citizens :( I was trying to find out more about the region, the way of life, how people are in the Far East, etc. It brings me great sadness that all my plans about travelling to the Far East have been ruined by this horrible and idiotic war. But it brings me an even bigger sadness to see nice, cool, good people like yourself having to flee such a beautiful country, leave everything behind, change your whole life because of an insane person. But hey, Natasha...after great sadness or struggles comes great joy, always be sure of that. What you are doing by leaving the country is an act of great courage and activism against the regime. May the wind blow at your back in this new adventure, stay safe, take care!

Natasha your pigeon is your solution somes dillema. Pigeons are birds that are associated with one loft throughout their lives. The one in which they hatched and grew. This is always the point they will always strive for. Breeders even point out that it is impossible to tie an adult pigeon to another loft in such a way - it will always come back to the first one. The pigeon will strive to return to the family loft even if it is hundreds or even thousands of kilometers away.

It looks good with jeans or with slacks or even tights. You can wear it with a t-shirt, a white fitted shirt or even a cravat. No matter where you go it fits in. Haunt your second hand stores some more. Or go online for bargains.

Hi Natasha Lee here in Atlantic City New Jersey enjoying the almost summer season. People are going to the beach ⛱️ on weekends and the lifeguards are now on duty everyday until the beginning of September. The beaches are well maintained and I think they are the only totally free beaches in the State. The crowds are back enjoying the casinos and walking on the boardwalk. Business is good and everyone is working. I enjoyed your walks around the City. Your scenic tour was interesting and upbeat. Glad to see spring has sprung. It happened about the same time as New Jersey. I want you to practice safety, be careful with your preparing for your future journey and definitely double check ✔️ your lists of to-do's of all the important things and little bits you have to have done before your big next adventure 😀. I wish the best for you in your new chapter of your life's story. I look forward to seeing you with a happy face and good experiences! Poka Poka! 😊

поздравления wonderful Natasha!! You did it!! So very very proud, and happy for you! The future you’ve been striving and working so hard towards for years is about to finally come to fruition. The world is your stage and your audience impatiently awaits its 🌟Star🌟. Where do you suppose you will go? I recall you mentioning Germany on several of your vlogs. Do you have a particular city in mind or does the cosmopolitanism of Berlin call your name?! Lol We, your followers and fans are very excited to see you embark upon your biggest, most important adventure yet. You shall do splendidly my friend. It was interesting to see stores such as Reebok and Armani Exchange still open in the shopping mall. What percentage of international brands would you guess have left Russia over the past few months? My feelings about such draconian business practices are mixed. On the one hand, I can see how remaining in Russia may leave a business open to criticism and negative campaigns by their competitors, but at the same time, I can’t rationalize penalizing the Russian people through depriving them of luxuries such as international businesses when the political situation and practices of their government seem utterly and entirely out of their hands for the most part. It must be extremely difficult for the young people of Russia to reconcile the apathy of their parents and elders with their own liberal and progressive attitudes and worldviews. I’ve heard you speak to that effect in some of your previous videos I believe, and I was just watching a video by your fellow Russian vlogger Roman Valerevich Abalin on his channel NFKRZ yesterday and he says the same thing about his own parents. How his views and outlooks are entirely at odds with theirs. He just recently relocated as well, to Georgia. He mentions how it’s quite difficult for the average Russian to relocate to places such as North America or Western Europe without having a work visa which allows for one to apply for permanent residency in one of these places. I hope the process is not a difficult one for you. Know that you have a friend in me in Canada if this might be a place you would consider settling in in the future!! I would be more than willing to help you out in any way I could! My comment is now beginning to resemble a novel, so I will sign off by saying that I like your new outfit, I’ve noticed that you have an affinity for dark colors, as do I myself! Lol They look good on you and perhaps they suit your mood. I feel very much the same way. Take care amazing Natasha, and please be cautious with your choice of words and terms in regards to the use of government “propaganda” and such. We your people, know EXACTLY what your feelings are concerning the “military operations” in Ukraine and you have nothing to explain to us nor anyone else. We are concerned ONLY with your safety and well being. You are so very close to escaping the dark clouds of life and the future in your home country. It would be devastating for us should some type of anti-dissent action be taken against you which might prevent your freedom of movement or god forbid, land you in some type of “legal troubles”. All the best and much love to you my friend. Until next time.

This is one of my favorite videos from you. It's so full of different things and I love how you slip in so many funny "snarky" comments. A few things I want to say: 1. Congratulations on finishing your thesis. What a weight off your shoulders. 2. Try not to get caught up in that feeling of urgency to figure out the rest of your life. It will come to you when are least expecting it. 3. Get the fuck out of there. 4. You walk a lot so the comfortable shoes and pants are perfect. 5. You are getting really good at this, but don't lock in to the one thing. I feel like you might have some additional interests and abilities that could become separate vlogs. 6. Be safe!!

I used to dress similar too. I became unhappy with myself somehow and decided to change the clothes I wear. Took quite a while to find myself but I felt so much better once I did. People treat you better as well but maybe that's just the effect of being happy with yourself from having a neat and clean look. Not sure where you're moving to but in Canada a decent pair or pants run about $100, sweaters around $50-100 too. Cheaper clothes tend to be off somehow, expensive clothes are usually only costly because of the brand name attached to them. Regardless though, it's the _fit_ of the clothes that matter the most. They should fit snug to your body while not being skintight. The channel that 'taught' me the importance of fit and what to look for was run by Ashley Weston but since you're a woman I'm sure there are tons and tons of channels that can help you clothes and makeup too. You must learn to be happy with yourself, one of things I've noticed, and many others too, is that you seem to be unhappy with your current life. While they're definitely not everything, well fit clothing can go a long way toward making you feel better.

Natasha, thank you for showing us every day things. When I watch your videos, I am always struck by how similar common people are everywhere. Misery doesn't come from the people, but always from greedy politicians seeking their own power.
Democracy is very wonderful, but as the US shows, it can be subverted by a powerful minority. I am very worried about America. There are all these people who seem to have lost their ability to think rationally. Maybe that is true in Russia as well.

The hardest part for me was feeling depressed because I didn’t have a clear vision of the future. Eventually, I made a decision to follow a certain career. I realized that even if you make the wrong decision, by being decisive you’ll figure out what was the right decision faster.
