【Ridge Racer】 - FULL Soundtrack 【1993】

- So I'm doing coursework, I have to write about racing games. I end up talking about Namco and Ridge Racer comes into mind. I start writing about it but think (why do I have to use wiki for the info). I remember I have the original Ridge Racer 1 PS1 disk from 1994. I put it in and it works even with the amount of scratches and damage on it. I want to share this relic with those of you who remember this legendary game.

こんな美しいサウンドトラックはゲーム業界で知らない
バンダイに取り込まれてから、こういったBGM含めナムコ色が一掃された気がします。ファミコン時代から単体かつ第一線で残ってるソフトメーカーはカプコン位ですね、寂しい限り。
I agree, the old namco died when they merged with Bandai.
このゲーム、最初にデータ読み込んだらあとディスク出して他のCDと入れ替えて好きなBGMで遊べたな。
その頃好きだったユーロビートがスピード感があってレースゲームによくあっていた。
数年後、頭文字Dのアニメでユーロビートが流れていて感動したもんだ。同じ思考の方がいるもんだなぁと。
The title theme is literally my childhood soundtrack! Used to listen to that track so much! Perfect racing music!

i got PS1 in 1997 or 1998, it came with this game and I remember putting it into my Sony Walkman CD player for the first time to see what happened(I was about 9). Definitely contributed to my early adoration for electronic music.
The DOOM PS1 port has a secret speedcore track from the one the secret levels

I only really got into games with the Gameboy and SNES. Needless to say I was a Nintendo fanboy for a while. I *might* have played this in an arcade once. This and Killer Instinct. I remember being so buzzed that *that* was where video games were heading. Now I'm rocking a GTX 970 (1070/80 on the way) and I appreciate every day of it... with the occasional trip back to the classics.
Hard to believe there was ever a video game crash.

当時ゲーセンでやり込んだなぁ～。（そんなに上達しなかったけど）
ポリゴンテクスチャマッピングが使用された初めてのレースゲーム（正しい？）で
当時では画期的に高精彩だったゲーム画面とテクノミュージックの融合が実に素晴らしかった。
なかでも「Rhythm Shift」が一番好きだった。

Memories. As a 18 year student about to start university in 1995, my first priority was to buy a PlayStation and Ridge Racer haha. I remember the console, game and memory card cost me nearly £400. Coming from a Commodore Amiga, the graphics and gameplay blew me away. I thought it was almost photorealistic at the time haha. Recently, I've just installed FPSe on my Android phone and been playing this on my phone.... it's awesome how technology moves on. Back in 1995 I would have looked at you like you were from another planet if you'd told me I'd one day be playing Ridge Racer on my mobile phone!

I'm 20 years old. Ridge Racer is the best game in PLAYSTATION. When I was younger, I used to play this game with my father.

thanks for uploading this. I'd never like these on their own. But they're amazing when mixed with memories if playing this as a kid. Spent way too many hours on this and metropolis street racer

This came out in the year I was born! As early as I can remember, this game was my go to all time favorite game for years.

Ridge Racer Type 4! Brutal erection joins the fight
This game was THE game for me at the time in the arcades. I have very found memories of seeing the game for the first time around 93/94 in a local arcade, I was only around 8 years old at the time and had never seen any convincing 3d graphics before (only StarWing at the time on the SNES), I was used to Super Mario World and then I was shown this! I'd never seen graphics like it before. They had the game set up in a real madza mx5 where you sat in it with working controls and was being displayed on a cinema screen! I think it just melted my little mind with excitement, and I burned through at least £5 in £1 plays I will never forget that, soundtrack brings back MASSIVE nostalgia...
I got the high spec demo with RRT4. Love both games. Lots of good memories. Still play them today.

hell yes awesome game soundtrack to one of my all time favourite racing games ridge racer and the very first ps1 game, i still have this game now. and i love the arcade feel to this classic game. and always loved the music to this as well.

Lol I still play Ridge Racer sometimes and when I do I'm pretty much dancing and playing at the same time. Such a good soundtrack.

近未来都市の中で走る感動もあったし、何よりもこの曲の良さがリッジシリースのいいろことだと思う。

This and Ridge racer Revolution will forever be 2 of my favorite soundtracks. The energy and nostalgia I tell ya! I remember finally mastering the courses and beating the Black and white scars. I was so proud.

As I kid I played ridge racer revolution which I think my uncle passed down to me in the early 2000s and played that for years. First time hearing the original ridge racer soundtrack which a lot are the same if not similar

When I played this game I always thought of an awesome race from Corpus Christi, Texas racing through Port Aransas down Mustang Island and back to Corpus Christi which will be 70 miles long for 1 big lap. Racing from the city around the bay with the beach in view.
