Not surprised at all! My MCA Street Performance have been on my car for 5 years now with plenty of track days, skidpan, street driving and they've never leaked, clunked, or required service. Can definitely vouch for them 💪
I'm in the process of also installing MCA Pro Sport coilovers on my 05 STi, glad to hear you've had a positive experience. I'm excited to see what difference they make over stock.
Is the ride quality / comfort 'night and day'? What would you compare it to in terms of comfort? I currently have BC BRs (not by choice) which honestly ride really crashy over uneven roads but 'ok' all around. Passengers would definitely notice the harsher ride compared to regular cars lets just say on those bad roads haha. But I have always thought about MCA pro comforts or sports. Just don't want to drop 2.5 - 3k on a small improvement as I have no other pressing issues e.g. clunks.
The difference is night and day. The pro sports are definitely sporty and can be girm when you dial it in, but its worlds more comfortable than both stock and the nilvers. Both the stock and nilvers were very bouncy, like a small box shaking inside a larger box.
Could I know why the silvers suspension were that bad? I watched your other video and I understand the clucking noise can be annoying but other than that your feedback about the coilovers seemed positive. You said that the car feels planted and handles better. I'm just asking cuz I am heavily considering Silvers Coilovers for my car. (I don't have a ton of suspension options)
Hi mate. Great question. If you watch this video again, I talk about it's short falls in a bit more detail. The clunking is probably the worst of it. And while it does feel more planted and better than stock (easily achievable even with lowered springs), the car was unpredictable. Under hard turns, the car behaved inconsistently. I guess it felt okay when I first drove it, but the longer I had then on, the more my lower back wanted to kill me and the less confidence I had in the car.
For someone who is not very technical about coilovers, what's the actual reason the silvers were underperforming? You mentioned it was very stiff - is this typical for the black editions compared to the S? It's hard for some people to justify forking out another 1k.
The car felt very inconsistent around corners and the track. Black edition are more stiff than S. But they're very very clunky, even on smooths surfaces. I've spoken to so many people that have had the same issue with both S and black edition
I've heard mixed reviews about BC. I've also heard that their struts come from the same factory as other low end brands but cannot confirm. One good thing about BC is that they sell individual parts to rebuild the coilovers if they go cactus
@@i30n_fb That sucks dude, can you claim warranty on that? MCA are great, out of the box and with their warranty policy. I also have a more recent video comparing their 'pro sports' and 'pro comforts' coilover if that is of any value to you
depends on your budget. In general they make the ride harsher as the OEM Struts aren't designed for a stiffer spring rate. Plus they aren't adjustable. But they get the job done for cheap
Thanks for the feedback mate. A lot of ppl these days have an attention span of less than 8 seconds (obv not yourself) which is why a lot of videos including mine are edited like that - to change it up instead of just watching me talk. But appreciate the feedback, will do less of that in future.
Noted mate. Just took a tip from the books of other bigger youtubers lol it's hard keeping attention of viewers these days which is why I made those transitions. Future vids like this will have more smooth transitions like zooming in and out slowly. Appreciate the feedback

Yeah they're made to order so quality control is insane, and they spend proper time making it!

Positive is beyond an understatement!! Keen to see how good it makes your STI feel too!
just bought a second hand pair of mca coils this video was really helpful
Great to hear, congrats! Which model did you end up getting?

I love how the stock STI suspension feels, just want it to be an inch lower.
Get the white line kit. Don't bother with coil overs😊
I had the whiteline swya bar kit under too

Great video as always. Super entertaining and insightful. Good review - manny
Cheers mate!
MCA lesgooooooo!
Basically the same reasons why i picked MCA over the other brands.
I should have made this choice earlier!
MCA in both my cars
Quality product 🤞

Thanks for watching!
Hey have you heard anything about BC Racing BR series? Are they worth it or its just like the Nilver Seomax?
I've heard mixed reviews about BC. I've also heard that their struts come from the same factory as other low end brands but cannot confirm. One good thing about BC is that they sell individual parts to rebuild the coilovers if they go cactus
current have shockworks and looking to swap to something better
Shockworks are supposedly really good though. Why do you want to move away from it?
@@MrDuongTV1developing a knock in the front within 2 years.
they also made it way too stiff,

Hey mate can you link me the video, of difference between sport and comfort
If you look through my channel, its not hard to find!
Where did u get you alignment from?
I go to Jax Tyres in liverpool for a regular street alignment. They're really good with the regular alignment
Do you recommend lowering springs ?
There's a lot of credit to both sides of the argument mate, i wouldnt know
