Hi Amy / Kyle. Me n my girlfriend Lisa had cycle holiday in France last month. The upside down sign was a mystery to us. Its turned upside down by farmers protesting at the french government 🙂😉
😂
Ohhhh! The mystery is solved!
We should have guessed it was something like that
Forget how gorgeous rural France is, not been for years
👏
Ha ha, great fun as usual! We’ve toured Brittany for the last two years and found that church yards always have mains water taps in them, so that people can water flowers on the graves. We filled our bottles from them and the water is perfectly safe. They usually have benches aswell for picnic stops!
Yes. You also get cemeteries. A tip I got from the son of a plumber for drinking water from taps is to make sure you get mains pressure when you turn on the tap. You get mains pressure when it's connected to the mains, so it will be drinkable. If it doesn't have mains pressure, it's probably from a water tank which could be very dodgy.
A church normally has a water tap ..external… definitely in the south in my experience. Love your videos xx
I swear! You are the hardest working youtuber! Every night I sit down for a snack and i'm like PLEASE let one of my people post something! You're always on the listttttt! Lets gooo!
Another joyful video. Watching this is a great positive start to my day. Thanks again for another really uplifting episode.❤
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it and hope you’ve had a good day 🫶
Both of them really make it look very easy, riding such long distances plus the fact they seem to complete more ft of climbing than than a typical tour de France stage. If only I could find more time I guess I would love to able to do more cycling.
Great video Guys and your very right regarding cycling in France. Got back 3 weeks ago from my first cycle tour there, planning a return asap? The scenary, food, air quality , and the roads compared to English pot hole riddled ones are a dream? We found drivers very careful passing us to which was very appreciated as well.
Rural France is so pretty, you’re very lucky. Definitely on my bucket list but planning Hadrians cycle way at the moment. Good video, enjoy the rest of your holiday!
❤
Kyle is an absolute legend!
The roads look just fantastic.... the cobbled section you rode on at the beginning is like the main tarmacced roads in UK
Great episode guys! This trip looks amazing and so much fun 🤩
🚴🏼♀️💨🚴🏼♂️💨
Anyother banger of a video from The Cycling Power Couple.
Also big up T Bain the watt machine of west Cheshire
"Peanut dust... Peanut dust" ha classic Chabuddy G song there Amy from People just do nothing. 🤣😁 Brilliant. Really enjoyed these videos. It's like watching a comedy/soap opera. Superb. Also love Kyle's massive baguette hanging off the back of his bike for miles. 😂 Hope you're both well. Keep it up. Cheers👍
Glad you enjoyed the videos! And haha love that programme 😂😂 thanks for watching 🫶🙌
Another brilliant vid, watching you and Kyle eating all that delicious food from the bakery’s makes me very jealous!! Along with the cycling obviously 😂🚴♀️❤️🏁🏁
Glad you enjoyed it!! Ohhh Kyle is still dreaming of the yummy delights 😂
Spirits super high in this one. Love it!
Living our happiest lives this day!
Beautiful scenery and villages. Good tip about the church yards and water. Good team work. Yes i think you are lucky to share the passion and we are lucky that you both put yourself up there and share. Good on yer.
I was cursing you a little recently as you have inspired me to up the mileage. Early days but ..... Anyway despite my cursing, you continue to inspire ... goddam it!
Keep sharing. Keep enjoying.
Haha sorry!! Hope you feel better for the rides afterwards 😅 thanks for watching the videos & enjoy your rides ☺️
What a beautiful ride that was, you were due better weather and certainly got it😊If its not big hills its headwinds of course😉I had an amazing ride yesterday, 108 miles of beautiful Scottish roads and scenery with 6500ft of climbing👍You guys beat me with the miles but I won the climbing category this time😂Awesome video once again😊
❤
Sounds like a great ride!! Awesome! You defo won the climb category 😂
Job Well Done Gang, Kyle has discovered the Orangina ..France is so nice to cycle around , I have noticed over the last few years in France a lot of Supermarket,s now open on Sundays from early morning until late evening which is very useful. enjoyed , Keep Safe Paul.
Here in belguim there are also signs hanging upside down. It's because the farmers are protesting against prices and nitric oxide regulations. which requires investments smaller farms can't afford.
❤
I'm glad Kyle is feeling a bit better. And at ~13:30 that evil looking French cartoon behind Amy with the croissant was funny. Gotta love these little towns & villages on your route.
Yes all good! Haha oh yes I didn’t even notice that too much 😂
Beautiful route
Awesome videos Amy!
Thank you!! 😁
hahahaha the french words you guys say kill me every time, good vlogs makes me wanna use the bike
My maximum till today is a 100km ride, the weather looks great pretty nice in France at the moment
Crackin' trip 👍👍👍
❤
My word I am gagging for some lovely countryside, greenery, blue skies and sunshine like in your video, but there has been none of that in my part of Wales since maybe the odd half day sometime back in June I suppose. Good to see that Kyle is on the mend. He should hopefully be back in top form for when you get back home again 😂
Hope you’ve got the blue sky now, seems like we finally have some sun in the UK 🙌 haha yes all good now 🙌😂
Hope you’ve got the blue sky now, seems like we finally have some sun in the UK 🙌 haha yes all good now 🙌😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures Oh yeah baby 😀 Sunshine almost all day long and lovely and warm too with a bit of wind to make sure it didn't get too hot. Back to rain again tomorrow it seems though 😯
I hope you two R enjoying yourselfs
Thank you again, Amy and Kyle, for this video. Wonderful, heart-warming and inspiring. What camera are you using? Thanks in anticipation.
Thanks for watching! A go-pro hero 12 ☺️
@@amy.cycling.adventures Thank you, Amy. Your videos are dynamically clear. Keep them coming please.
Amy, please do not cry ! 😔
❤🙏
Sweet Nectar 🥶🚿
What a fantastic day of riding through the beautiful French countryside you two 🙌 Did you both plan the route with the overnight stops? It’s definitely something that I’d like to do next year with my partner 🚴🏻♂️🚴🏼♀️🇫🇷
👏
Yes we planned it ☺️ go for it!! Such a great thing to do 🙌
hi... amy with kyle.. and you and kyle should wears gloves to protect you if you falling down... you dont know accident will comes ... ride always safe.....godbless always🙏👊👍
Ride Safe Pretty Amy.
i see u everyday looking for water... in every village/city in France you can find cemeteries, and free water inside ;)
Why do you not drink the tap water it is in safe in France, Enjoying the adventure 😃
Great video Amy and Kyle, the upside down road signs are from the Farmer's protest, over the stupid "green" EU policies
Kyle exiting a shop is like an adult lucky dip. Expect the unexpected
Kyle “I don’t think we’ll find a bench for our lunch”. Next shot Amy sitting at a bench. Classic. Who writes this stuff. 😂
30 second rule on that baguette, sorted :D
How did you plan your route? Everything looks so pretty.
❤
On PBP 2019 . I had a long sleep on night 3 . And we I got going again on day 4 , there the baguettes 🥖 all along the route 😀
Ahh nice we did PBP last year, loved all the baguettes but did get a bit sick of them by the end 😂
Ha ha ; Amy I meant all the baguettes that had dropped from riders pockets and bags . The roads were littered with them .
Great video again, both of you. Have you finished your other jobs now to do this full time? And, is Kyle sporting a Friar Tuck look now? Bon Voyage
Thank you! No I work 3 days a week now in finance still & Kyle is still building full time but with him being self employed it’s easy for him to get time off & I took a week A/L ☺️ it can look like we’re away a lot more than we are but a lot of our trips recently have just been two nights so no leave needed for me ☺️😂
Great idea what you're doing ... if you are fit enough. Rather than focus on the TDF you get to see the sights while the crowds are all on the route.
"For supper tonight, ze spécial tonight, Madame, is Longe de cabillaud au four."
"Oh. What is that, please?"
"It is ze baked cod loin, Madame."
😂😂😂😂
The Royals in France...all very nice but u just can't never compared it with the Italian countrywide !!! never forget that France was a Roman colony...
Knowledge
Were you fit before starting to ride? How long it took you to start riding such long distances?
I used to regularly go to the gym & run before cycling I’ve been cycling 3 years now and Kyle 2 we did get into the long distance quite quickly but always took our time & paced ourselves ☺️
What happened to kyle hope is feeling better now 😊
He came off his bike 🤦♀️ it’s on the day two video from France he’s all good though thankfully!
@@amy.cycling.adventures thankfully 😊 missed that video will watch it tomorrow
And this video was amazing 😀🤩
We pray 🙏
Hi Amy. Sorry but we do not say "bon matin" in french but i do appreciate the effort 😉. I am glad that you like our beautiful country 🥰 and ours beautifull animals on the roadsides. 🐮🐴🦢. We find drinking wather on evey graveyard in France.
I hope to manage to come to England to do a road trip by bike one day.
Thank you for your great videos 😊
Haha I need to brush up on my French! Yes it was lovely to ride in France, hope you get to come to England ☺️ thank you!
4:37 You missed the tunnel.
Don’t tell Kyle 😂
@@amy.cycling.adventures KYLE! YOU MISSED THE TUNNEL!
😂😂😂
Naughty, Dani-El!
Most signs are upside down here in france due to protests by the farmers union. Bonne route les gars
😂
Little luciole savings my a-hole 😂
😂😂
The baguette was not too aerodynamic 😂
😂😂
Swiss Army knife guys
The upside down village signs are farmers expressing their disagreement with European agricultural policy. Farmers denounce the contradictory injunctions imposed on them in their activities. A demonstration in a pacifist way to say “we are walking on our heads”. Now you know
Un Anglais écope d'une amende de 100 euros pour avoir traversé les deux voies de l'autoroute pour récupérer des haribos, un rouleau de saucisses et deux canettes de coca. La police a confisqué les objets.
