Here before all the “Illinois is home to the first McDonald’s” people show up. I like these kinds of videos, every time I watch one I learn something new.
The Big Mac was actually better than most McDonald's, so I'll probably head back down there again. Also, there were 3 vintage cars that came by on the day I was there. I have a feeling it's kind of a hang for people who like nostalgia. Thanks for checking it out!
Excellent presentation. We have not visited that McDonalds and we really want to after watching your video. Such an iconic place and how fun to see it the old way. I only wish the prices and quality was the same old way. Thanks for sharing this.
Hk Christina & Randy, Let me know if you ever go to this McDonald's! I'll be honest, it was really good! Better than most McDonald's. But you're right about the prices -- they are definitely 21st century prices!
What a very nice presentation. I remember going to this location as a young boy in 1969 or earlier. My dad said it was the very first one. It was a stop on the way to visit my grandma. I was too little to comprehend 5 billion...... of anything. Mmmmmm.... Big Mac. 😆
That is so cool that you used to go to this one!! It would have been such a shame to tear it down. While I was there, there were several people with vintage cars also there, so that was fun to see. And also, the big mac was much better than I've had at other McDonald's. Even though it's not near where I live, it's definitely worth a trip again to get dinner. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@@JasmineApple It's good to see that it's still there. My family moved to the SF Bay Area about 47 years ago, though it's nice to see places I remember from those days. Thank you. Other things I remember 😉😉😉 hint, hint,... are places like Exposition Park and the Labrea(sp?) Tar Pits, Griffith Observatory, and Randy's Giant Donut sign. 😆
@@tomgraves6463 Noooooo!!! OMG!! I did not recognize him! I've thought about that scary first Ronald McDonald - how he felt putting a paper cup on as his nose, the 2 uneven eyebrows, wearing a hamburger on his head. That's hilarious!!
@@tomgraves6463 thanks for the hints!! I think the La Brea tar pits are closed right now. I just hiked up to Griffith Observatory today, and that one is in the planning. Exposition Park & Randy's Donuts are great suggestions!! 😁😁😁
Man I'm very surprised that this building is alive since my dad worked there on my childhood I'm glad this building is still going this day
Your Dad worked there? That is so cool!! I'm glad it's still standing, too!

Hi jasmine
Hi jasmine
This was my first job in 1982.
At this one? That's awesome!!
Ive heard McDonald's burger stood for good food... what a shame
I'll be honest, there are times when nothing but a big mac will do!
