Sailed with her for some time, in 1996. Still beautiful as i Remember (maybe better, cause she had a lot of restoration work done during this long time) those Hatch lead to living quarters and mess halls for the crew and cadets (3 big rooms for cadets, with tables and anchor points for hammocks... Yes, we slept on hammocks 😂) obviously there are also all sorts of technicals spaces down there! And yes, the bells are still used nowaday, the ship time is marked by bell sound, and the number of bell sounds change the meaning. For example, every 15 minutes, during night cruising, a single bell sound call for a voice report from crew on watch duty, 2 of them placed on Flying bridges...1 on bow and 1 stern, Reporting also for the good working of the ship navigation lights within sight of your sector. Thank you!
Please the name is Amerigo Vespucci not America Vespusi
Qualcosina la sappiamo fare 😄
Sì, è così!
💚💚💚🤍🤍🤍❤❤❤
Amerigo Vespucci is a school boat
Thank you -- I should have included that in the video.

C like Chili, non Shili. Per favore grazie. Mille.
Right. CC like "cheese"
Just imagine how many mafiosi and horse heads can you load on it...
😅😅😅
Dear Jasmine thank you for honouring our Country by paying a visit to the Vespucci. Please forget some stupid comment about pronounciation. As you probably knows the internet is full of people that urgently needs to get a life. I'm sorry that you did'nt find on board anyone that could speak english. I find it pretty weird.
Thank you so much for your kind comments! I am honored to have been able to visit such a historic ship.
*Vespucci. [ve-spoo-chee]
perhaps Americans don't fully understand the story behind the Vespucci...not just a ship!!
I think from your comment that you might be right. Can you fill me in?
Vespussi????? Vespucci!!!!
Grazie
Wow thanks
Vespucci not "vespussi"😜
Nice video, but terrible pronunciation of the ship's name. Also no ropes on a ship
DO YOU KNOW WHO AMERICO VESPICCI IS? AND WHY YOUR CONTINENT NAME IS AMERICA...?
I do know who Amerigo Vespucci is. Tell me why we are named after him?
Amerigo vespiussi haha
Yeah, I've gotten a lot of flak for that. If I could, I'd overdub it, but sadly, it's the mispronunciation that will live on.
Listen, if you do a video on the ship, LEARN HOW TO PRONUNCE HER NAME CORRECTLY FIRST
I'll be honest, I thought I was. My apologies for insulting italy & all italians.
Turned down the volume, your voice is annoying, sounds like your talking to 5 Year Olds lol Thanks for sharing
Feel free to turn down the volume - you're lucky you didn't get to hear me laugh - I embarrass my friends, because I laugh freely & with joy.
@@JasmineApple Safe Travels!
The way she pronounces Vespucci is an insult to Italian and Italy.
My apologies. What is the correct pronounciation?
@@JasmineApple double c is like the sound ch of church. Possibly stronger because is a double. Also Michelangelo was wrong. It's not maichelangelo. Italian vowels are always the same. M-Ichelangelo
@@JasmineApple VespUCCI as in GUCCI, or Stanley Tucci.
@@willymartinez2038 exactly!
@@JasmineAppledo not care about him.
3:38 Brava, nice pronunciation considering that English is your native language👍
Thank you so much!
exactly, the fact she has to guess how to pronounce "vespucci" is hilarius, shame on english as a language to make this lady sound like a fool when she is totally not one.
