At this point, they should make a series of intellectual slasher films with Darth Vader as the main antagonist, Jason Vorhee and Michael Meyers style. Each movie's protagonist is Vader's victim who are either political opponents conspirators, rebels or Jedi remnants.

Is it now a foregone conclusion that Darth Vader is second in command of all things palpatine outranking the official second and third in command Mas Amedda and Sly moore and when he does take orders from someone like Tarkin and Tagge it is only because palpatine is teaching him humility?

I think it's more like different department heads. Talking controls the Deathstar and the Navy, I don't think vader would try to argue with that. They've known each other a long time. But when it comes to Sith work, of course vader is Palatines right hand.

@@mattmanix5104 Vader isn't really Palpatine's right hand. Palpatine is strong enough he doesn't need one, Vader is more like his dog, but not for protection because he needs it but rather because he would prefer not to get his hands dirty usually. Palpatine also loved the idea of his apprentice being the Jedi chosen one, a last insult to the jedi, like using lightsabers was a way he insulted them
What if Sly Moore comes from a heritage of sith worshippers. It would explain Palpatine's invested interest,

@@abdullahbajrami6816 Maybe but that would just go to show a lot more how they don't care about source material. After Vader lost his duel with Obi-Wan I believe the confirmed power he lost was 30% but I may remember it wrong though it was a significant portion of his power, so to make him more strong just because he's Vader seems like a very Disney thing to do. And of course that isn't to say he wasn't strong, but what I love about the Legends is it shows how he had to use intelligence and tactics more at times because of his lack of power, and he still showed off power more like with how often he forced chocked people for a mix of reasons like him feeling excruciating pain every time he lifted his arms above his waist and just his likely anger at losing power I assume made him want to show more that he was strong still. So much of the Legends is just amazing and the vast majority respects the source material which is ridiculous considering how many authors and stories there are!
@@eldenvedetta635 idk man I like how sly vader is in canon. That whole twist where he makes slymoore put effort on a lost cause... It's really interesting. He's confident because he's always a step ahead. He's not just powerful. I have mixed feeling about disney's stuffs but I feel like they still tried to give Vader's character the respect he deserves. I liked his cameo in the recent movies. Where he turns off his breather (to turn off the light built in his suit) just so he can give his enemies a dramatic surprise attack. So far, Vader's presence is still one of the few things disney hasn't yet ruined.
(canon, legends, etc.) authors/writers know how iconic vader is so I think they try to treat his character's appearance with a sort of reverence

Here was captured and given to Boba Fett so Fett could fulfill Jabba's contract on Han.
Vader is Legion and yet he is but one. Yeah, Palpatine's power is off the rails crazy, but now aware of this. He is completely focused on himself and his own power. Vader is much too intellectually cunning to enter a fight he knows he cannot win. With Palpatine on the "back burner" (for the moment) he is at his best. In a sense, he is his OWN master (I mean until Palps says no) and that makes him even more deadly. Palpatine told his "groupies" he now answers to no one...except the obvious, but I think The Emperor likes seeing Vader being the true beast that he is. There is no fear, just drive. Drive to crush anything that will impede him. Luke could possibly do this, so Vader must crush him. The Vader books have blown away everything Star Wars has released since "ROTJ". Without Darth Vader...there is NO Star Wars. He is easily in the top 10 or perhaps even top 5 Villains ever to grace a movie screen or book. \m/

I read the comic, she tried to choke him but he broke her grip using the force. I think when it comes to force choking, she’s weak. Vader is supremely stronger in the force, so it didn’t really bother him.
But not as strong as Palpatine though.

What is this retconning nonsense? First, nobody would be able to touch Vader with the Force except for Palpatine. It would’ve had no effect on him just like when Vader crushed everything in the room around him when he learned Padme was dead, Palpatine stood there laughing. He couldn’t touch him. And now there’s a story of Han not going directly to Jabba’s palace with Boba? Ridiculous.

Could, but if Vader is currently not weakened by conflict about his son, then how could Luke actually defeat him. Luke is powerful and an impressive Jedi, but considering that his entire journey in the Original Trilogy spans about 5 years and Luke had only really begun his Jedi training with Yoda in Ep.5 when he was 22 giving him only one year to train for his second encounter with Vader during Ep.6, even if Yoda had created a crash course version of Jedi training to turn Luke into a Jedi as quickly as possible, and considering that Luke didn’t even complete his training with Yoda and instead trained on his own for the next year. Even though Luke became a Jedi in record time it just doesn’t match up to all of the experience and power Vader has amassed in his life.
If Luke and Vader really meet again during this arc before Ep.6 the something needs to happen to bring back Vader’s conflict and make Luke believe that there is good in Vader and make him want to save his father. Because as far as I remember the comics don’t really give any indication that Luke cares about Vader or wants to save his father.
That's because Disney comics don't care about source material. They do more than the Disney films but Legends comics will always be true Star Wars as opposed to this.
Did you read the previous comic releases? Didn't vader already soften a bit after seeing the medical bot's recording of padme and obiwan's convo about anakin before padme died? We don't need luke to feel anything about vader yet.. Luke can try as hard as he can to strike vader the next time they meet. But honestly, Luke wont ever get the upper hand. We only need vader to not have killing intent for Luke and the comics already established that Vader wont
@@chew7656 yes I’ve read all of the Vader comics Disney has put out. But the conflict Vader felt about learning the truth about Padme is gone now. The Emperor saw all of the conflict in Vader which is why he put him through all that he did, by the end of his time on Exegol Vader was no longer conflicted and is now serving the Emperor 100%. Vader isn’t even interested about turning Luke to the Dark Side anymore, he knows that the Emperor would like to replace him with Luke. Vader intends to kill Luke to keep his position secure. That is not Vader’s mindset in Ep.6 at all. There has to be a reason for Vader’s conflict to emerge again after everything the Emperor put him through in the past arc, just like there was a reason for why Vader grew conflicted enough to lead him to where he saw the recording of Padme.
I’m just saying that even though Vader and Luke will have no other interest but to kill each other if they happen to meet in this new arc something has to happen to get Vader and Luke to change into the people they were in Ep.6. And I just feel that there has to be something that happens in the future to get Luke to believe in the good that is left in his father that convinces him to try to save him and not want to kill him after the truth gets confirmed to him later by Yoda. I know Luke finds out that Vader is his father and later Yoda proves it, but that alone really only means that he’s genetically related to him compared to everything else he has experienced from him (killing his friend/mentor, trying to kill him and his friends, torturing his friends, putting Han in carbonite, cutting his hand off…) it doesn’t make sense as to why Luke was so determined to save Vader and believed there was good in him instead of just killing him like Yoda and Obi-Wan told him. Luke says he can sense the good in him but this was before he even was near Vader again on Endor, he said there was still good in him when he spoke to Obi-Wan. Did he sense it during Ep.5? Because it didn’t seem like it, even with the comics it seems like Luke is indifferent/against Vader at the moment.
Allegedly Vader was as slow and sloppy as what was shown on screen. The real question is how could he ever defeat a competent opponent without plot armor?

Anybody realize yet that Disney actually has a history of rewriting entire stories? The Jungle Book(whatever the book's name is), Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, you get the point. I wish Star Wars would have gone to Universal Studios instead. It's... ...Universal.
I don't think Universal would have done it justice either. Have you seen Star Wars SC 38 Reimagined? I wish the creators of THAT honestly got to own Star Wars. I could even see them doing better or at least AS good as George Lucas, because they cared about George Lucas's source material, unlike Disney, and I believe unlike Universal would.

I don't like the retcon that Disney pulled on Empire Strikes Back. In episode five we know that Boba was working for Jabba to bring in Han. Now apparently Han was just auctioned off as an art piece.
Agreed. It was pretty clear in ESB where Boba was going with Han. But then again, since when has Disney cared for continuity?
In the previous comics it already showed that Han was stolen from Boba by Crimson Dawn. My guess is that the end of this storyline will see him be the one to get him back and deliver to Jaba
