Ann Wilson is a damn legend and a GOAT rock singer. This is one of the best female led rock songs of all time. I honestly think she sounds even better with the Philharmonic at age 65.
Nancy sang the lead in a very popular song of theirs called These Dreams. As siblings, their voices are similar. That's what makes their harmonies so good. That characteristic is called "blood harmony". Interestingly, Nancy had a cold on the day that These Dreams was recorded. It gave her voice a bit of grit. Some people think that her cold actually made the song a bigger hit. Also, Nancy loved acoustic guitar. If you want a display of how good she actually is on acoustic, try the live performance of Crazy On You. She has a lengthy and amazing solo guitar intro on that one.
There is a video from '77 for Crazy on You that features Nancy on an acoustic guitar where she plays an 'acapella' (if you would) opening that lasts a couple of minutes. Just breathtaking. This became a #1 song for Ann and Heart. Within a year (+/-...I don't remember which came first...sorry) Nancy sang lead on These Dreams which also became a #1 hit for Heart. Ann's voice is the focus of the band, but Nancy is no slouch. Both play multiple instruments, although Nancy is a one man ..err, woman band. Keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin... wouldn't surprise me if she hip-checked Vinny off the throne (the name for a drummer's seat) and took over there for a song or two. Both amazing women...so much so that until I started watching these reactions I never in my wildest dreams considered Heart to by a 'gurl band', just an all-around damn fine band.
This is definitely an earlier version of Heart, BUT, you may find that the very best of Heart was even earlier :). Ann’s voice is iconic and Nancy is no slouch either as you heard! Definitely check out Barracuda, Crazy on You and Magic Man. Those are my personal favs!!! 😊
In this video, you can clearly see that the camera work mainly focuses on the slimmer Nancy, only really looking at Ann's face. I read what you put and it's totally true and very sad. How the media did and still does present people is terrible. Both the sisters were and still are beautiful.
This is also a cover as well. I-Ten is the original. It was also on a TV show Dreams with John Stamos and Valerie Stevenson. Heart changed a few of the lyrics
It's all subjective, but Heart was a hard rock band and as good a song as These Dreams is it isn't definitive of their sound and isn't even sung by their lead singer. It's a good song for sure, but with all their early hard rock classics I can't imagine calling TD their "greatest".
It was their first number one, which must have felt awkward for Ann. But they later had more number ones featuring Ann's lead vocals. I think both Alone and All I Wanna Do were bigger hits actually. But I personally prefer These Dreams, great song.
Ann and Nancy were both at peak sexy, sensual, powerhouse, rocking badasses at this point! They absolutely killed it throughout the 70’s and 80’s, and I would put Ann’s voice up against any other rock vocalist, male OR female. She was - IS - a vocal beast, and their harmonizing together is gorgeous here.
Great reaction. Listen to "These Dreams" if you want to hear Nancy on lead vocals. Great song. Also, "Love Alive" awesome guitar by Nancy and of course, Ann's amazing vocals.
The darker look in their later videos is because Ann struggled with her weight all her life and the video producers wanted to hide it. In their early videos she basically starved herself.
Yeah, that's were it's at imo. Crazy On You (Live, 1978) gives me chills every time. Whatever else was going on Ann's vocals were insanely good in that, in that time period in general. For some reason people always recommend the same two videos. Alone and the Zep cover. Video quality is better though, for sure.
I'm so jealous of you that you get to "discover " all these masterpieces and hear them for the first time. Would kill for being able to do that, keep it up! :)
Nancy takes lead on "These Dreams", it's beautiful. If you want to hear the best male voice in rock, check out Journey, pick any song from their "live in Houston 81 tour".
I was lucky enough to remember this from back in the day but also to see Ann and Nancy at the Royal Albert Hall nearly 10 years ago with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Even though my friends and I were seated up in the gods, in the high seats, above the arena, that part leading into the chorus.... even though it was 30 plus years later.... when you hear it, man it goes right through you, to your bones. You cant help but feel it. It still absolutely rips your heart out. Its a staggering vocal, it really is. And when its just Ann's voice.... my god, I've been going to gigs for nearly 50 years and I've never heard anyone like her. This has become such a huge song that means so much to so many people...
I've been a Heart fan since 1976 when I first saw them perform at Saratoga Performing Arts Center outdoor amphitheater in Saratoga Springs, NY. They were an opening act for Dooby Brothers if I remember correctly (that's a bit fuzzy). My girlfriend at the time and I had lawn seats (sitting on a blanket). We were chatting waiting for the concert to start and I heard Ann's voice singing and I go, "who are these guys"? Have been a fan ever since. I've been to several of their concerts over the years, including their appearance at Cal Jam II in 1978 in front of an estimated 350,000 people in Ontario, CA, a suburb of L.A. and many years later in a small venue called Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, AZ.
Heart had basically two careers. The first one was from the mid 70's to the early 80's. They were a fairly big band with several hits during this period and wrote their own music. After a few years were they fell off the charts, they came back with just the two sister's and maybe the drummer for a bit. The record company sexxxed their look up and they no longer wrote their own songs but had professional write them for them. They went from rock and folk type of music to rock and power ballads. And they became bigger than they ever were and one of the biggest rock bands on the planet for about 5 years. From the mid 80's until the early 90's. This song is from that second period. They have an excellent live performance from Seattle. I think in the early 2000's, you might want to check out. Nancy is an EXCELLENT guitar player but she dosn't play lead. Thats just phoniness the record company did in the video to spice it up. If you look, you see a man playing the lead but then they try to make it look like Nancy is doing it. This is NOT Hearts fault. 100% the record company making them do it and dress like this. In their bio, the sisters explained a lot of this. They are much more hippies than sex pots in real life. Oh, the Zeppelin performance was more like 20 years after this. Not 40.
Heart has such a big and wonderful song catalog. Their most beautiful song, IMO, is “Dog and Butterfly” (Nancy sings harmony on the chorus). I’ve loved it for 45 years, and it still makes me tear up!
So happy you're listening to more Heart! Barracuda, crazy on you and I'd looks could kill are really good. Nancy is the lead singer for the song These Dreams.
Heart is amazing. This is actually my favorite song of theirs. I was a kid watching MTV the first time I heard it. Had a crush on them ever since rofl. I also recommend "These Dreams". Ann does some great storytelling in that song.
To hear another side of Heart , listen to perhaps their most beautiful song - Dog and Butterfly - title track of their 11th album . There is a live version - Live In Seattle - where the harmonies are pure perfection !!
As others have mentioned, "These Dreams" with Nancy on lead vocals is another great one and was their first #1 hit ("Alone" was their 2nd). And although the studio version of "These Dreams" is great, I personally prefer the "These Dreams - Live in Seattle" version that is stripped down to an acoustic guitar level. The official video of "Barracuda" is a great one as well, which was about ten years before this performance.
Great choice for a reaction to an original Heart song! Glad you are discovering what an incredibly talented band this was, especially in the early days when they had their original line-up of members. I've seen them live several times, and their concerts were awesome. One thing I'd like to mention is that when you said "Nancy's guitar solo', it was actually guitarist Howard Leese playing the solo. But the video suggests it was Nancy, so it's easy to see why many people get that wrong. Nancy herself is an excellent guitarist in her own right, and you can hear an acoustic solo from her on live versions of the song 'Crazy On You'. Thanks for reacting to this song and please continue your Heart journey. You won't regret it!
Thanks for giving props to Howie. He came up with that solo in the studio, I believe he said it was the first bit he did and wanted to play more but Ron Nevision was 'No, we are keeping that one" :)
Inspired by Led Zeppelin, Heart is the best female fronted rock band in my opinion. Ann’s voice is a powerhouse and you know exactly who it is when you hear her! Great reaction!
I saw them quite a few times during their concerts in the 1980s. Ann and Nancy Wilson were both knockout babes. I would say Nancy's guitar play in "Sweet Dreams" was sublime. Ann plays background vocals on that song and she was fantastic as well. Watch the video clip. Thanks.
It makes me feel so good to see your exuberance, excitement, and love for the music I was so fortunate to grow up with and listen too my whole life. Because it is almost completely forgotten these days and it saddened me to see it fading away. I have said in these last years how fortunate i am to have grown up in the greatest age of music in human history. The list of people, bands, musicians, I have been witness to in my life, is nothing short of phenomenal.
I seen them in a tavern in the early 70s Olympia Washington and they played alot of led zeppelin and other covers. Sat in our booth and drank a pitcher of beer during a break. I cherish that memory. They were so friendly and the world was around the corner for them
"She's what I think I sound like when I'm singing in the shower." 6:42 That's a really great way to describe Ann Wilson. She sings with such amazing power, as most people notice right away. But she's also an incredible musician who can guide you on an emotional journey. I love this band! If you want more, check out their "Alive in Seattle" concert, the performances are brilliant, and without the MTV/record company overproduction with big hair and corsets.
Ann Wilson is one of my top three favorite vocalists of all time, period. Her voice is iconic! Nancy Wilson is a legendary guitarist, and her harmonies singing with her sister are sublime. But, Nancy actually sings lead on the song "These Dreams," which is a lighter pop ballad, but one of my favorite Heart songs, along with "Alone." Nancy's vocal style is a bit softer and thinner than her sister's, but still gorgeous. (Fun fact: The day she recorded her vocals, Nancy had come down with a bit of a cold, so her voice was more raspy than usual, which the producers actually loved! When she eventually got better, the producers were actually disappointed that she couldn't replicate the raspy tone, and as a joke, they asked if she could please catch another cold ASAP, haha.) Ann sings harmonies and background "echo phrases" on "These Dreams." (The music video is a bit confusing, because it shows Ann lip-syncing some of the lead vocals, even though Nancy is the only lead singer on the recording. I've never understood why the video does this.) A few more Heart songs that are essential listens: "Crazy On You," "Barracuda," "Magic Man," "Straight On," "Never," "What About Love," and "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You." I'll stop there, but (of course) there are more songs that I can't think of off the top of my head, haha. This was a great reaction, and I just subscribed to your channel. Bravo!
I say it all the time but some days all you need is a little Ann and Nancy Wilson in your day to make it great. They have a great catalog: Barracuda, Dreamboat Annie, Dreams, Crazy On You you can’t go wrong with any of them. They were a huge part of my childhood in the 80s.
If you want to hear Nancy sing, listen to "These Dreams". The song was written for Nancy's voice. Ann said she really couldn't hit the notes in the song easily. When These Dreams was recording, Nancy had a bad cold, which lead to some raspiness in her voice. She tried recording the voice track again later, but it didn't sound as good. Nancy's voice sounds very close to Ann's.
Now you’ve gone and done it! Floor has done a rather nice job of covering this - it’s an absolute must! Barracuda is a great follow up, as is Crazy on you or All I wanna do is make love to you; all just soooo good! Great reaction, keep them coming! 🌹
Heart is an incredible rock band. As a lifelong rocker and guitar player I love Nancy's kick-ass rockin guitar playing, very high energy. This is what rock is all about
Nancy sings lead on These Dreams which is a song from the same era as Alone. However, you also need to go back to their 1970s songs Barracuda, Magic Man and Crazy on You.
Ann & Nancy Wilson (Heart) are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. They excelled both as recording artists and live performers. In fact, they are so great live that they had a greatest hits album derived strictly from live performances. A lot of bands and solo artists do not hold that distinction. I prefer listening to the studio recordings first before the live versions. But in the case of Heart, you definitely cannot go wrong either way.
When Alone entered the UK charts it was the first time I had heard of them, even though they had been performing for years. Fell in love with Anne & Nancy. Even almost 40 years later I still love their 80's stuff.
I was fortunate enough to have seen Heart in Chicago about 5 years ago and they were magnificent. They played all their hits like this one, Alone, and they played These Dreams, Crazy on You, Magic Man, and they even covered Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Great, great concert.
The guys were playing the guitar solos - Nancy has some really nice intros on her classical guitar...and she harminazes on most of their songs and takes the lead very occasionally.
Glad you got into original Heart songs! Ann has a voice like no other in Rock... clear, crisp, precise and powerful! Nancy's guitar picking is so good... very underrated... plus the fact that they are both gorgeous! Ann once humbly stated "You can't push your way into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame... You have to be invited!!! Now, you must check "Crazy On You" live from Saturday Night Live 1977. Let Nancy's guitar intro blow you away! Enjoy! Then, do not forget "Barracuda!"
@rick , as much as Heart made Alone a huge hit for them it was also a cover , the original was actually I Ten , check it out , kind of interesting. Btw I never knew this until last year lol
My bad! Thanks for pointing that out. I checked it out and can't remember this version. Heart's version will stay my favorite, though. No disrespect to I-Ten.@@wangtang7768
@ Rick , hey I never even knew that and I was graduating high school when it came out by Heart , I never heard of I Ten until someone pointed it out too
I love "These Dreams" and Nancy took the lead on this. Heart had about 20 number one singles. These are some of my favorites. What About Love, Barracuda, All I Want To Do Is Make Love To You, Magic Man, Crazy On You.
My favourite rock female voice of all time !! Ann Wilson is a beast !!! The song ''If looks could kill'' displays her magnificent voice and emotion. You can feel the anger in her voice and it is awesome !!!!!
I hope you go down an absolute rabbit hole with this band lol. I did too not too long ago and they’re my favourite rn. SO many amazing songs to look forward to! My personal favourite is Love Alive 💯
Hi Stacey, first like and comment lol. Heart is an awesome classic sister band. You're going to love going down this rabbit hole. I do suggest "Even It Up" "Crazy On You" "Magic Man" "Dreamboat Annie" "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You" "Never" "These Dreams" "What About Love" "Barracuda" "Nothin' At All" "Stranded" "There's The Girl" "Who Will You Run To" "Straight On" Have fun!
I mean at that time there also were just maybe only Annie Haslam and Grace Slick .. in the 2000s with symphonic metal that has changed of course a lot. Still as a pure rock singer she is still absolute top tier 😍😍 She is also one of the very few singers where Floor can't really make the song better with her cover, like she else did with nearly every other song without problems. The other one where she couldn't do it was Lara Fabian imho.
Thank you for your raction. One of my favorite video of Heart in which Nancy sing is on one of their live shows in their hometown Heart - These Dreams (Live In Seattle) .
There is a young pair of ladies from Northern Ireland called Dea Matrona whose harmonies have had some people call them a modern day Heart. Now, I don't like to make those comparisons but Dea Matrona are influenced by 60s, 70s and 80s rock, both electric and acoustic. While not sisters (although Mollie's sister was in the band as their drummer until last year) they both have great voices and they also both play guitar and bass and often surprise people when they see the ladies swapping instruments in between songs. My recommendations for Dea Matrona songs are Glory Glory or covers Homeward Bound, Helplessly Hoping or Mandinka for acoustic songs. For electric So Damn Dangerous, Get My Mind Off or Red Button. Electric covers I'd recommend are Oh Well, Crossroads, Cradle Rock or Gloria. Just in case you want to check out some current, rising band.
From their Dog and Butterfly album , you Must listen to an absolute hidden masterpiece called Mistral Wind . It tells a story , draws you in, then slowly builds and carries you along with it to an intense crescendo , then leaves you spent . One of the most enchanted songs you will ever hear !!
Heart is one of my favorites;) fun reaction just found it...Coolest part about heart for me, was it was one of the few female rock bands that just killed it without question, Annes voice is legendary .Nancy sings the main on these dreams. btw your eye makeup is on point ;)
Hi Stacey. So a little background for you. The Wilson sisters were born in California, but they grew up in the Seattle (WA) area. I think their dad is retired military. Ann went to Sammamish High Scool in Bellevue (WA), while Nancy attended Interlake High School, which is also in Bellevue (WA). Seattle is located on the west side of Lake Washington, while these high schools are on the east side of Lake Washington. Ann has a very powerful voice and is sometimes referred to as the "female version of Robert Plant (of Led Zeppelin)." I've seen them in concert four times and they've always put on a good show when I saw them. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
That was Howard Leese playing lead guitar. The director of this video showed Nancy a lot during the solo, but if you pay close attention you can see she's just hitting power chords. That's not to say she's not an accomplished guitarist. She plays wonderful classic acoustic work, especially during live intros of Crazy On You.
Addendum: I do appreciate how well you speak with such clarity and the diction is spot on. I like it when I hear the English language being spoken so illustrious, it just brings so much more to your reactions, which have always been very engaging.
Hi Stacey. Another lovely reaction ... for someone who claims to not know about music, you ALWAYS seem to grasp the true gist of the performance. You might like to have a look at Floor Jansen's cover of this. It was one of the solo covers Floor released during COVID lock-down when she couldn't perform publicly.
Ann and Nancy have stated that this album is their least favorite, but I was lucky to see them when they came back to their hometown of Seattle for this tour and can say that it was awesome and this is my favorite album by them.
Hi. I guess you were never aware of them. They were music icons of the 70s and 80s. I think their hit song (These Dreams) was the best. i still listen to it after almost 40 years since it came out.
Great reaction, and thank you for someone finally acknowledging how beautiful Ann is, i have always thought she was stunning, especially in the 80s, my favorite female singer, i am a bit of a rock chick anyway lol I am 20 years younger than Ann but i have been told many times in my life when i have been out on the town so to speak that i look like her, with some Elizabeth Taylor thrown in ( weird combo i know ) and i have always took it as a huge compliment, shame i do not have her voice to lol Definitely check out some more Heart, they are a fantastic band, which i am sure you will love!
Hi Stacey I just turned 61 and think Ann is the Queen of Rock. It's so amazing to youth finding out about Heart. You should look up Heart live version of Alone 2016 with a sympathy it will blow you away knowing that Ann is 66 in the video and still Rockin
Hey Stacey, Living in the pacific northwest in the 80's, I saw heart several times. (from Seattle area) Ann and Nancy were and still are some great singers.
One other comment, Check out Quarterflash, they are from the Portland, Ore. area. The lead singer plays the sax. Still to this day, she can belt out the tunes
Hello Stacey! I think "Barracuda" (1977) and 'These Dreams' (1985) were the best of the best by this band. Not only were the sisters great, they were drop dead gorgeous as well.
Male or female, doesn't matter... Heart is one of the greatest rock groups ever. Ann & Nancy Wilson are rock Gods that have worked their magic across decades! Also, that transition to the chorus is just incredible! The power in Ann's voice is genuinely unmatched.
Your first reaction to Heart was a cover and so is your second, this song was first recorded by Hi-Ten a few years before Heart did it, slightly amending a couple of lyrics and melodies !
Last week I ran sound for Heart by Heart which two of the original founding members (inducted into the Rock and Roll,Hall of Fame) and those guys still crush it! Fun fact… Some of Hearts biggest songs were written and performed by Del Bello a Canadian singer/band. Lots of their original versions of songs that Heart later released are still on TH-cam.
Aside from from all the obvious choices like "Barracuda" "Crazy On You" which don't get me wrong are definitely the two prerequisites to start off with because they're the two iconic ones that made them superstars!! Then of course there's "Magic Man" "Straight On" and my favorite "Dog And Butterfly" but there are a couple of "deep cuts" that I personally touch me on a very deep level!!! The main one is called "Mistral Wind" the other is a two song 🎶 medley which the first one is really more or less a beautiful intro into the second one and it's called "Sylvan Song/Dream Of The Archer!!!" Between those two or three songs will pretty much show you what made Heart ❤️ the iconic legends that they are!!!🖤❤️💛🎸🤘✌️
Stacey had to scoot her chair back to make room for that big 80s hair! You should check out "What About Love." Also, for another great female vocalist, check out The Motels, with Martha Davis singing. ("Only the Lonely," "Suddenly Last Summer")
Yes, more Heart reactions please! Heart is a band with many line up changes over the years. Their first band line up is my favorite. Nancy can sing beautifully as well (but Ann is a vocal powerhouse). On Heart studio albums, Nancy Wilson sings lead on the following songs: Treat Me Well Nada One Raised On You The Situation One Word Love Mistake These Dreams There's the Girl Strangers of the Heart Stranded I Want Your World to Turn Ring Them Bells (shared lead with Ann and Layne Staley) Will You Be There (In the Morning) Things I Need the Rain Led to One I'm Fine Hello Moonglow
Hi Stacey. I love this video, it's soooo '80's...!the decade of the 'power ballads'. I hope to watch you react to many videos from this and other brilliant eras. as your musical journey of discovery evolves. That's me subscribed (I think the one thing which persuaded me to subscribe was you telling us you have two cats) 🙋♂🙋♂
Ann Wilson is a damn legend and a GOAT rock singer. This is one of the best female led rock songs of all time. I honestly think she sounds even better with the Philharmonic at age 65.

Just about to mention These Dreams as well. Instead, I'll just back you up.
'barracuda' and 'crazy on you', are two INCREDIBLE songs by them.
not sung by Nancy though
Ann and Nancy are known as the “ First Ladies of Rock and Roll. “ They have been doing this since the 70’s.
Anne’s voice is legendary. Nancy has a great voice as well and is featured on a few of their songs

this is heart in the 80s early but not really this was at their biggest and most popular their roots go back to the late 60's early 70's
Dream Boat Annie.
From 87
I'm going to be 76 next week, I can promise you every guy in the country had a crush on the Wilson sisters back when we were all young.
To be fair they're both still gorgeous.
Shit, I still do😂
Still do! And I've just turned 40!
I'm turning 60 and same here !
No doubt still do
These ladies are one of the most talented ladies in rock and roll.
They made her wear black because they thought she was too heavy. Insane! She was and still is gorgeous!
In this video, you can clearly see that the camera work mainly focuses on the slimmer Nancy, only really looking at Ann's face. I read what you put and it's totally true and very sad. How the media did and still does present people is terrible.
Both the sisters were and still are beautiful.
@@scrappydoo1969I agree but that's how it was back then. Record companies wanted glam and perfect bodies.
@@scrappydoo1969 I read that Ann has some type of disorder that caused her to gain a lot of weight
Ann Wilson = best ever female voice in rock. IMHO !
Floor as well
It's not opinion it's fact
Nancy is no slouch, and she's a great guitar player too.
Linda Rondstadt too
Third best voice of all time. Stevie Nicks first and Karen Carpenter 2nd. Ann Wilson has the best range though.
This is also a cover as well. I-Ten is the original. It was also on a TV show Dreams with John Stamos and Valerie Stevenson. Heart changed a few of the lyrics

Yeah, "These dreams" is my favorite song! But I love "If looks could kill" also.
My favorite lead vocal from Nancy is "Stranded," from the otherwise-subpar Brigade album.
Love Alive is without a doubt my favourite Heart song, and one of my faves of all time. Everything about that song is just perfect to me 😩
These Dreams for sure.
@@Mike_Huntt"Fallen From Grace", a Sammy Hagar penned song, was also very good.
You might want to check out the early stuff. Crazy on you.. Barracuda.. Magic Man to name a few. Those songs really kick ass❤

Love "The Dog and the Butterfly". Up in the air, they like to fly......
I agree. The Live in Seattle version of "These Dreams" is my favorite.
Thanks.
LOL Sweet Dreams The Eurythmics. These Dreams Heart
They were so friendly and the world was around the corner for them
Thats a cool memory
I've never understood why the video does this.)
A few more Heart songs that are essential listens: "Crazy On You," "Barracuda," "Magic Man," "Straight On," "Never," "What About Love," and "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You." I'll stop there, but (of course) there are more songs that I can't think of off the top of my head, haha.
Seen em live in concert late 80s. Always great.
Anne's voice was amazing. Loved everything about here when I was a kid. Her voice still resonates just as well today for me.
These dreams is a must, Nancy's voice is amazing 😊
These women are rock legends
"Barracuda", "Crazy on you", "love alive" are definitely songs you won't regret listening to.
They are extremely talented. Used to play in a band with their original drummer, Denny Carmassi. Ann has the voice, Nancy was the backbone. ✌️
The best band ever. I saw them in the 70s. Even better live. No big production, just raw talent.
Now you’ve gone and done it! Floor has done a rather nice job of covering this - it’s an absolute must!
Barracuda is a great follow up, as is Crazy on you or All I wanna do is make love to you; all just soooo good!
Great reaction, keep them coming! 🌹
I concur!!!
A MUST! :)
can't forget magic man
Do you know who else did a really good job covering this song? Heart! It’s much better than the original
@@daave365 Yes it was written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly who were known as i-Ten, it didn’t chart for them at all!
She is so good, love this song ❤❤❤
Nothing original about this one.
Alone originally is by I-Ten, 1983.
Heart however made the song famous with their cover!
@ Rick , hey I never even knew that and I was graduating high school when it came out by Heart , I never heard of I Ten until someone pointed it out too
When Ann comes SAILING IN over the instrumentals at that break......DAMN!!!
Having a blast! Thank you for the suggestions!!
I saw them in concert in 1978, awesome.
Nancy sings lead on “These Dreams” and “Will You Be There”. I saw Heart in concert back in the late 80s:early 90s. Great show.
Ann is in my top 5 of favorite female vocalists, this is a terrific song!
she is so powerful and a badass!
@@StaceyRPGReacts She certainly is! 🎼🎧
I mean at that time there also were just maybe only Annie Haslam and Grace Slick .. in the 2000s with symphonic metal that has changed of course a lot. Still as a pure rock singer she is still absolute top tier 😍😍
She is also one of the very few singers where Floor can't really make the song better with her cover, like she else did with nearly every other song without problems. The other one where she couldn't do it was Lara Fabian imho.
@@beldin2987 Yup, for sure...my top 5 is pretty diverse though.....Ann Wilson, Margot Chapman, Karen Carpenter, Susanna Hoffs, Louise Mandrell.
Thinking Pat Benatar should be in there somewhere !
Love this new generation listening this amazing music and keeping it alive. 👍keep the good work
Ann has one of the top gold standard gorgeous female voices ever. No exaggeration.
Thank you, special lady, for sharing this! God bless you!
From their Dog and Butterfly album , you Must listen to an absolute hidden masterpiece called Mistral Wind . It tells a story , draws you in, then slowly builds and carries you along with it to an intense crescendo , then leaves you spent . One of the most enchanted songs you will ever hear !!
Right on. Purposely Zeppelinesque. 👈
yes!!!! Mistral Wind is a classic!
Wow what a nice song love the song guitar solo great Anne amd Nancy ❤ Thanks Stacey
Never enough HEART songs.......every album of theirs is amazing.....MORE PLEASE!
Addendum: I do appreciate how well you speak with such clarity and the diction is spot on. I like it when I hear the English language being spoken so illustrious, it just brings so much more to your reactions, which have always been very engaging.
Heart - Royal Flush tour announced on Feb 2. Begins April 20 with Cheap Trick in Greenville, SC. @ Moda Center in Portland, OR Sept 17.
one of the greatest voices EVER ❤
Floor Jansen does this one... Worth reacting to!!
Much Love❤
Ann’s voice is soulful, is the best way I can describe it!😍🔥❤️
Great reaction, and thank you for someone finally acknowledging how beautiful Ann is, i have always thought she was stunning, especially in the 80s, my favorite female singer, i am a bit of a rock chick anyway lol
I am 20 years younger than Ann but i have been told many times in my life when i have been out on the town so to speak that i look like her, with some Elizabeth Taylor thrown in ( weird combo i know ) and i have always took it as a huge compliment, shame i do not have her voice to lol
Definitely check out some more Heart, they are a fantastic band, which i am sure you will love!
I really appreciate heart haven't listened to them in a long time enjoyed your show keepup for the good work
Hi Stacey I just turned 61 and think Ann is the Queen of Rock. It's so amazing to youth finding out about Heart. You should look up Heart live version of Alone 2016 with a sympathy it will blow you away knowing that Ann is 66 in the video and still Rockin
I love to watch reactors when she hits that scream in the middle- never gets old!
Yeah most definitely check out Floors cover 😍
“What About Love “ and “How Can I Refuse?” are two of my favorites from Heart in the 80’s!
I was in high school when this was released. The soundtrack of my youth.
It's one of the all-time classics ballads. Its perfection 👌
Anne Wilson has one of the greatest voices in rock history. Her vocal range is top notch.
You should check out "What About Love."
Also, for another great female vocalist, check out The Motels, with Martha Davis singing. ("Only the Lonely," "Suddenly Last Summer")
Yes, more Heart reactions please! Heart is a band with many line up changes over the years. Their first band line up is my favorite. Nancy can sing beautifully as well (but Ann is a vocal powerhouse). On Heart studio albums, Nancy Wilson sings lead on the following songs:
Treat Me Well
Nada One
Raised On You
The Situation
One Word
Love Mistake
These Dreams
There's the Girl
Strangers of the Heart
Stranded
I Want Your World to Turn
Ring Them Bells (shared lead with Ann and Layne Staley)
Will You Be There (In the Morning)
Things
I Need the Rain
Led to One
I'm Fine
Hello Moonglow
Great reaction, Stacey! You Rock!
Ann Wilson is my FAVORITE female voice in music. And also Cher Celine Whitney. But ANN!!!!!!!
I'm sure people have suggested "These Dreams", but I'll add on and say it's a must to hear Nancy's incredible vocals.
I have seen Heart 5 times. 5 of my 111 concerts. Keep it going Stacey.
Hi, yes, what a voice, same album " these dreams" older "crazy on you " thanks for the reaction
