Do you guys have any plans on a similar conversion for the yamaha FZs? it would be nice to get rid of those floppy horned oem front turn signals with an option like these.
+dudelikeomgz We are actually working on the FZ line. We've had multiple customers buy the headlight brackets/headlight to make their own "conversion" and they have had much success. Especially on the FZ-07's.
Nice tutorial. Although, 800-1K for a headlight and some CNC is pretty keen, that's one third of the bike! Good luck.
you need to make one for the Aprilia Tuono & 1100.
+jerryx2000 Its just a matter of getting the bike in front of us. We've also had many customers with a variety of bike do the conversions themselves. Mounting the headlight is easy with our Custom Headlight Brackets j.mp/cstmbrkts, you just have to sort our mounting the instrument panel.
Wow, those tiny signals are very bright, how are they during the day? Visible from afar? I know the headlight is great! :-)
They work very well in the day. For their size, they are very bright and visible.
Finished my install yesterday! My only lingering question is what angle should the headlight be pointed? More toward the ground or horizon leveled?
It helps to have a friend sit on and hold the bike vertical. On level ground, 25 feet from a wall, measure from the ground to the center of the headlight. Place a mark on the wall at that same height (painters tape works great), adjust headlight to that height.

1. Why is the bikini fairing not compatible wit this headlight conversion?
2. Do the headlight LEDs dance when you first turn on the motorcycle like we see in other reviews for this monster model conversion? I did not see them do that in this installation video.

The bikini fairing mounting provisions were not carried over to the conversion bracketry due to it not going with the round headlight aesthetically. Only the Adaptive LED does the startup sequence, this was before the Adaptive light existed and the light shown is not adaptive.
With this conversion you can also put on the original windshield?
Not on this model, but we do offer a flyscreen accessory. Follow the link in the description 👆
Do you know if the 1100 can accommodate your larger headlight like the one on the 821/1200?
The larger Classic housing does not work on the 696/796/1100 conversion.

shay maor FZ-07 is pretty straight forward, much like this install. Just remove the stock light, install fork rings and new headlight.

No, the bikini fairing is not compatible. We offer the OEM gauge back to replace it.

What are the advantages of this headlight over the OEM headlight?
The biggest advantage would be ditching the poor performing reflective light unit for a modern projector based system. Instead of shining light into a mirror, these systems use solid optic projector lenses to project light forward exactly where a rider needs it. This allows for super wide low beam pattern that also stays on when the far projecting high beam is activated. Giving you the peripheral and distance vision you need when riding at night. In this video we show the Adaptive unit that takes it a step further by adding light to the inside of the corner while you lean.

As amazing as this looks and i would probably opt for the standard led option instead of the adaptive i'm in need of an exhaust way before the light. Hopefully i can afford both this upcoming season.

The standard light works fine enough. I already got my exhaust and have developed a new love for my bike but the light needs to go as it looks out of place imo. The bike looks absolutely beautiful from the back and the sides but from the front it looks like some old bobber.

Steven Ferronato the price is greatly influenced by the light you choose. We only use premium products so you know you are getting what you pay for.

We carry SAE/DOT and ECE approved lights. We've shipped to Japan multiple times but check your local laws to make sure.

Is it possible to use in the country of the left side of the road?
Yes! ECE LHT on the LED Evo 2 and the Adaptive LED has a symmetrical pattern so it works on either side.
