Amazing light!! Super cool but the factory one has a cleaner look it’s more fitted to the body. To bad you can’t use the factory housing and install this lamp! I’d buy one ASAP if that were the case.
Sweet light - I just received mine and just will be painting the grey part to a flat black to match my 821 before installing. That's minimal though and I consider this light the showpiece of my bike... BTW this video is EXCELLENT
Good install video. Just ordered today. I’m curious why you didn’t powder coat the top part of the headlight bracket. No biggie, I have a buddy, but would have been nice if it was totally blacked out, including hardware from the getgo.
The top adapter bracket is 3d machined so it has been bead blast and clear anodized to match the surrounding OEM parts. Powder coating it would hide all of that and look bland. Black hardware is not something that is readily available unless you use black oxide which will rust just looking at it. All of our hardware is stainless and matches the other bolts that are on the bike. Not everyone wants a totally blacked-out look and the good thing is you can make it your own if you choose 👍👍
john kierepka absolutely! Our LED options are specifically designed for motorcycle use so the low beam covers way more of your field of view with a super wide and smooth pattern. The high beam throws light way down the road so you are never running into that terrible feeling of out riding your headlight when it’s dark. The Adaptive model adds light to the inside of the corner as you lean to illuminate the darkest of corners. Follow the link in the description for all of the info 👍
That 3D machined component is silver to go with the other silver components on the bike. If it were black, it would have been directly next to 3 other black components that are all not the same shade of black.
