- The YJL announced by @Quadratec has gotten a lot of attention recently. The main question everyone is asking is "Can I buy this grille for my jeep?". At the Unofficial Use Only shop we interview Greg Henderson who designed and built the YJL. Greg reveals his plans for production of the grille but we learn that he needs help from the @Jeep community. Drop your comments below and share share share!

As a previous owner of a '90 yj, and a current owner of a '93 grand cherokee, I say bring on square headlights, the throw better light patterns and look more "modern". My dream build is a a fc with a yj face. YJL are a blessing!

I want this grille so bad. My mom had a YJ Islander in red, and I have a red Gladiator. Ever since I saw the Inlander from SteerSmarts, this has been the only front end I want
I’ve wanted one since they revealed it. We own a YJ and a 2 door JL , we’d love to have our JL match our YJ.
I don’t know why Jeep would need to be involved, plenty of aftermarket grills, fenders and other parts and accessories… besides, you get a large enough following for it Jeep is liable to do it themselves. If I were you I’d just do it, it’s already a success in the community.
I would buy a YJL grill immediately. And would absolutely love for it to be made in America!!
You guys forgot about the CJ10 and the US military version, CJ10A, which had the 10 slot grille with square headlights in the fenders like that of the YJ's Renegade model. Yah, there was only 2300 or so made and all military tugs. But over the years, they were sold as surplus assets to the public.

I bought my first Jeep right out of the show room, "88 YJ." Loved the square head lights from the start. Square head lights where first coming on the market and was very modern. The CJ had a extremely bad reputation for rolling over and was in jeopardy of being taken off the market. The wider stance and square head lamps gave Jeep a more rugged and safer image. This saved the Jeep. Drove her for nine years and miss it dearly.

Yes, I want to see this! I own an 87 YJ and purchased a new 95 YJ. I have owned XJ's in the past and would love to drive a YJL.

I had a 91YJ back in high school the year 1993, my brother and I shared it and numerous jeep wranglers since then. Me and my brother plan on getting 2 new JL Jeep’s and if you build the YJL parts we will gladly buy them from you.

This great I live in Australia I think they would sell here but why don't we have the blinkers in the grill? and also for them Jurassic Park fans that can't get yj they can start getting newer Jeeps and make mock up versions of the famous Jurassic jeep but one other thing is will there be a conversion for jk also?

The initial investment is beyond what most people pay for a very nice house. At the moment it's hard to find someone to commit to that kind of risk.

@@JeepSheepTV I wanted to produce my JeePods for the roll cage and center subwoofer console and quickly it got into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. No way could I risk the investment. I have mad respect for those who figure out how to make their products come to life and to the general market.
