I must try this. Sounds lovely. Another simple glaze if you are interested is 1/4 cup maple syrup, tablespoon soy sauce and tablespoon balsamic syrup or vinegar. Salt and pepper the meat. I use duck breast as the original recipe called for but it would do well with skin on chicken thighs.
Just found your channel! I’m “silver”, happily married, and a retired former primary school librarian. We have much in common, except I live “way down south” in Georgia. I love ❤️ you, your easy to make recipes, and watching you prepare your meals. You make me feel as though I was with you in your kitchen. Thank you 😊
I used to make this same recipe in the late 70s and 80s (although I used pineapple/apricot preserves). Over the years I kept adding things to make it more of a complete meal. I would add canned pineapple chunks, bell peppers cut into wedges, fresh mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes. I would serve it over white rice. Thanks for bringing back a memory for me.
@@RosieKay-4151 and thank you for giving me more ideas. I love it 😀
Russian dressing is very good , thighs are my favorite.. this whole meal looks great ! Thanks for sharing Colleen! Blessings to you all!
Blessings to you and yours ❤
I have made this before, and just LOVE it!
Feels like I’m sitting in your kitchen!! 🫖 Absolutely love your content. Thank you for sharing!
@@tparks189 Thank you for watching!
@tparks189 I think your right, oh my gosh I will have to give that a try.
Looks yummy.
@@MargaretKing-w5i Thank you!
I loved the Russian dressing ! I had forgotten all about it !
Wonderful memories of days gone by. 😊
You have convinced me that sheet pan vegetables are easy and delicious. I will have to try them very soon. Your recipes are always interesting and quite delicious. Thanks for sharing.
I must get some Russian dressing! This looks fabulous ❤
It is a recipe that we really enjoy!
Thank you for sharing this terrific dinner menu! Adding it to my "must make" meal planner! 😊❤
Hi new subscriber
Good recipe gonna try thank you
Looks yummy 😊
How come you don't wash the chicken first?? I was taught to always rinse the meat off
Love these chicken recipes. I will use breasts as I don’t care for dark meat. Thank you!
curious how much the chicken was per pound....where I live in the USA it is $1.79 a pound and on sale right now for .99 cents a pound
Don't forget currency differences. $1.79 USD = $2.43 CAD
What size is that huge measuring cup/bowl? Try this simple delicious meatball soup.
2 can beef broth
1 jar marinara
2cups frozen veggie peas, carrots
I can white beans and
1 can pinto beans rinsed
1 pkg italian meat balls
Heat till hot and bubbly.
Serve with Garlic bread
I made this, it's delicious
Hello again. Oh yes! that Russian dressing was very popular in the mid to late 70s. I worked for a restaurant and we always had it. Everybody asked for it that and the 1000 islands as I mentioned in another one of your videos. It’s wonderful to have fresh vegetables from your own garden, Good for you!
Thanks so much! And thanks for watching, I appreciate it.
Question: can I make this chicken recipe without skin on?
Leftovers are a reward for working so hard the first time 😊
@@asc3998 I love that!
I love all your videos! It does feel like I’m sitting with you in your kitchen. The quick meals you are making all look delicious and are right up my alley. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
Looks great easy ty for sharing God Bless you and your's 🙏🙏🙏❤
Is the Russian Dressing the same as catilina dressing?
Good question
I'm not sure, we used to hear able to buy both but now just Russian.
Do you wash the chicken before preparing/cooking?
Bravo! I’ll have to try this - thanks. Also if you want to avoid seed oils a great option I recommend is Chosen spray avocado oil.
Your kitchen is immaculate and your spice drawer is amazing. I see no guck anywhere. I haven’t thought about apricot chicken in years. I’m going to make this dish.
Thank you so much 😊 I hope it tastes the same as you remember it. Cheers, Colleen
Eating the cranberry chicken as I watch this video, amazing, love it.
Looks great! Thanks, Colleen. Are the potatoes also from your garden?
Funny that you said, "have a cup of coffee," as i was having tea while watching this.😄
@@marygrott8095 I think of all of my viewers when I make a video.
I never knew about the carrot ‘shoulders’. I learned something new
@bobbi3673 excellent! Thanks for watching!
Looks good Thank you for sharing. Quick meals at home are much better than fast food
Definitely! ❤
I noticed Wishbone Russian Dressing is dark red, while everyone else’s is the mayo/ketchup peachy pink (my mom used to make hers with one plop ketchup, two plops mayonnaise). Do you know if they taste different?
Sitting with my coffee right now. Thanks for another really good recipe.
In gonna make this for my son tomorrow.. it looks so good. Ty
Thank you!
Love seeing you!
@motinoel291 Thank you! Great to have you watching!
Sounds delicious 😋
I'm definitely making this
Thank you for sharing all your wonderful recipes 😀
Both recipes look delicious. We will try both.
Thank you!
That looks yummy! Thanks for sharing
My pleasure 😊
Have you done any grain free breads in bread machine? You look well by the way.
Yummy! We love our oldie but goodies since that’s exactly what we are.😊
I would like more simple meals. Enjoy your channel
Thank you so much for including the recipe to read, so many are not doing that. Also your recipes are not hard to make and I really appreciate that. ❤❤❤❤
Another delicious recipe, I love oven roasted veggies, thanks!
@@robindobiesz4006 and they are so simple!
Thank you for sharing. I have done something similar in the crockpot. We live in Texas where it’s very hot in the summer so I try to use the crockpot a little more but in the oven it gets things brown and yummy. God bless you Colleen.❤️✝️🙏🇺🇸
Thanks for sharing this recipe. I like "easy" lol. I get overwhelmed if there are too many ingredients. I am single and I will usually cook enough to have at least 2 nights.
Take flank steak and honey and soy sauce, marinate over night. Cut thinly against grain. So simple and delicious be sure and poke holes in meat before marinating
Looks so good and warming as it has begun getting a little cooler here.
YUM!!!!. My sister who widowed makes smaller batches of things and packages them in single sized meals to freezer for later. Great idea!
Everything looks great. Totally enjoy the quick meals . And it brings back good food and when familys used to sit and eat together . Memory's. Miss that myself .. yall have a wonderful evening and a Blessed tomorrow .. stay safe stay healthy stay positive always make it fun Love from Tucson Arizona 💗🦎🌵🌻🦉👩🏼🌾🌵🦎💗
I love a glazed chicken recipe. ❤❤
I just take the ends off my potatoes, let the ends sit out for a day to skin over the cuts then plant them deep in a tub of dirt and three months later, potatoes! Thanks for these chicken recipes!
Beautiful and easy. Thank you.
I would love to have a cup of coffee with you! Greetings from Hickory, North Carolina, USA
@@karenbackus1531 Thanks for watching! I'm going to check the map and see where Hickory, North Carolina is. Cheers, Colleen
You have apricot instead of peach in your title too.
I love the style of easy dinners.
I bet that would also be good with pork chops.
Hugs! That is a delicious dish. Thanks hun!
This looks yummy. I remember making "homemade russian dressing" in the 70s. It was just mayonaise, tomato ketchup, garlic salt and worcestershire. We used it on salad but it would be good on this as well I think. Thank you for all your great videos and information. I really enjoy them.
@gaylekanak9269 that sounds much cleaner than the stuff coming from the bottle.
I love being in your lovely kitchen! The chicken looks wonderful, Colleen. I will try it! I like knowing your prices too. You pay much more for groceries than I do here in central Pa. We pay enough for sure, but yours are higher. Thank you for the video.
You are so welcome! ❤
these recipes are amazing
Wow, this is another great recipe. Just a note, I live in Michigan, USA. Bone in skin on chicken thighs are $1.68 a lb at my local Walmart. Prices are so different in other areas.
We could wish for prices like that!
This looks yummy!
looks so good will make this
Looks delicious
I love this style of simple dishes!
This looks delicious! I love these kinds of meals, where you can put everything in the oven (or slow cooker) more or less at the same time, and have your full meal later. Great for us "silvers." Thank you! ❤
@marybataglia4081 Your most welcome! I hope you enjoy it.
I cook for myself and I would make this and make freezer meals. TFS! ♥
I made your cranberry,French chicken last week end and we loved it ! I thought what a weird mix but it worked !
Another awesome recipe !! I love all those retro salad dressings!
And they make these dishes so delicious 😋
😋😋❤🙏💐
With the cost of meat now, I might have to become a vegetarian........I've been wanting to try this dish but I can't find Russian dressing.
Tw1257 I usually find it either off to the side of the dressings, or down low. Not usually in an immediate line of sight that the stores reserve for top-selling dressings.
@@elsie6326 I decided to just order it from Walmart.
@@TW1257 so nice to order and just pick up!
In the 70s, mom would buy Kraft Catalina salad dressing. It's very similar. But today will be a beef stroganoff dinner.
Oh my gosh! This looks delicious….just the idea of the spiciness of the dressing combined with the jam! YUMMM
I love this recipe. I make it quite often and serve it with rice, steamed broccoli and homemade egg rolls. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Looks so delicious Colleen. I will enjoy making and eating this Chicken. Thanks so much!!
Looks delicious! I can’t wait to make this recipe! So simple for 1-2 people but will also a comodate a full table of guests!❤️
I made this meal tonight….Delish. I plan on making the cranberry chicken next week.
I don’t know about those prices!! I gasp every time!! I feel for you having to pay those prices. I’ll watch every commercial. Promise.
We are not big chicken thigh likers in my house so, I'm glad that you mentioned preparing this dish with chicken wings. That's much more up my alley. 😊😊 So, I'll definitely be trying this with chicken wings. To each their own, right? 😊😊
I have just found your site, the meals look delicious, I want to try some of the recipes, thank you…..
Thank you for this recipe. I love apricots and chicken so I'm really looking forward to trying your recipe soon. Looks delicious. 😊❤

Hello from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦. I’m new to your channel and love what I’ve seen and am looking forward to more excellent recipes.
I remember making this or something quite similar many years ago. It was delicious, and I am sure this will be as well! Also, this would make three meals for my husband and myself. Yummy and cost saving! Thanks so much.
Looks delicious. Great having leftovers too. Stay well and safe.
I remember using Russian Dressing on the Taco Salads I made in the late 70's. Brings back memories! 😊❤
Love your recipes. Haven’t made them all but what I have is yummy! There are only 2 of us and love the variety and left overs to freeze! Even if I don’t make your exact recipe. You give me great ideas to change slightly and always works! Thank you! It is nice to have someone who actually cooks!
The meals in both videos looked delicious. I want to try them in a slow cooker. Is either one of the sauces spicey in any way? Many thumbs up to your videos and you.
I love your videos. You make the recipes easy to follow 😊
Thank you yet for another wonderful recipe. I shall try this soon.

I used to make chicken like this back in the 1970s - served over rice. So good but I lost the recipe book. Thanks for reminding me of it!!!

Looks really good, I will make it for myself soon. Thank you for sharing your lovely recipe. Do you think chicken breast would be good, I prefer white meat?
