I bought this yesterday, received it today, and the headset won't pair with the dongle because it won't turn off, which is required for pairing :\ Gonna send it back tomorrow.
The dongle is too wide from what I can see. A friend of mine and 1 like to couch co-op on the PS5 and he uses the JBL Quantum 350 usb A dongle at the front of the PS5 since putting it at the back of the PS5 could have lag problems ánd problems with the heat exhaust of the PS5 heating up the USB dongle. However, with the extremely wide-looking usb C dongle that the Sleelseries Arctis 1 seemingly has from what I can see from this video, the dongle will largely or entirely block the usb A port on the front of the PS5? Anyone else has this problem and have your found a budget-to-mid-range quality that does have an usb C dongle but not that wide?
@@TeslaT-NT I'll give you a summary. I bought the Arctis Nova 7X and so did my brother at the same time, it was a very comfy, multi-platform headset with simultaneous bluetooth but it did have some issues, which is why I was forced to return it. The USB-C dongle is too wide and blocks the USB-A front port of a PS5 too unless the USB-C to A extention cord is used. Then the USB-C port can potentially still be used. The dongle had latency issues when used simultaneously with the same model during couch co-op on the PS5. The mic wasn't up to the standards of a mid-range headset. It gave robotic, delayed noises when talking, as if the PS5 or both headsets struggled. The mic arm coming out of the earcup also rattled too much during frequent use, even to the extent that it was noticeable during videos. I sent my Nova 7X to the shop's repair service, they couldn't repair it and I got my money back. My brother's Nova 7X had somewhat similar issues. In his case, the mic didn't rattle, (yet) but the headset does lose connection regularly, even in the midst of making a video. Steelseries can't get their headset mics right for some reason. His issues aren't bad enough yet for him to consider repairing it. Two different brand headsets seemingly DO work (I use the JBL Quantum 350 budget headset for now). I'm looking to buy the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Wireless X now since it's supposedly an amazing headset for consoles that lets you tweak EQ-settings, even for the mic and lets you use nearly it's max capabilities on consoles, unlike Steelseries.
I recently bought myself a blue yeti mic, and i want to use my arctis 1 as my headset, but unfortunately i cant because the bluetooth is messing up the connection of my mic.
the arctis 1 wireless is 100$ and the alpha s is 130$, and its wired. if u want wireless, obviously go for the arctis 1 if u dont care about cables, and u can pay the extra bucks, i would say alpha s but i feel like 130$ is a lil too much for a wired headset especially when u could get great alternatives (if not better) at a lower price, like these: - Razer Blackshark V2 X - HyperX Cloud Stinger - Corsair HS60 Pro - HyperX Cloud II all of which are fantastic headsets, especially for the price, when compared to the Alpha S. Don't get the alpha s. if u want wired, get one of those i listed above hope u didnt already buy it...
Thinking of returning the hyperx cloud s I got for my friend and buying this for him instead, I’m struggling because the hyperx cloud s is better in every way except it isn’t wireless. If anyone sees this, would you give up better sound quality for it being wireless? (P.S) the arctis 1 wireless does still sound amazing.)
If the price is the same then i would go wireless because two of my headsets have broken because of the wires. If the sound quality difference isn't that big then i would go wireless I'm my opinion

sounds great, does the blue tooth work for xbox one? some ppl are saying it does...while others... don't.
I'm late but yes since it connects using a usb adapter
@@mrgiraffe1577 thanks!
Does your ears touch the side in the headset where the sound is coming from?
Same question here, got this problem with my brothers shitty razer headset
Nopeee but i have small ears tho 😂
They dont and I have rather large ears.
This headset does not work with Xbox, it won’t connect to dongle and mic doesn’t work when using aux
Having the same issue, mine didn’t connect at all. Got them today
@@sigmaboy5327 Got mine today as well and as far as I can tell they don’t work with xbox. I’ve tried using the dongle the controller itself and the xbox and it just won’t pair. When using the aux the xbox will acknowledge that I have a headset plugged in but it won’t pick up my voice
@@sockman6108 There are two different versions of this headset. The first one was released and it was wireless for everything EXCEPT for Xbox, which had to be wired. Then they released the version that works wireless for Xbox as well as everything else which has green on the box and green inside the earcups.
Am I supposed to unplug the connection when I finish playing?
No
Nice video man. I'm gonna buy it soon🔥even a little bit late.
Can I use the headset on my PS4 and laptop at the same time, with the mic working on both? I play PS4 but mainly talk to friends on discord.
I don’t think so
Hrdxyt
Are you sure? What if I connect wireless on PS4 then wired on pc at the same time? (Or vice verse)
Jordxn7 I can try if you want me to dawg?
Hrdxyt
Yes please brother.
Jordxn7 I got you man
Thank u for the video God BLESSHYA!
Does the steel series Artis 1 it work on Xbox if I change the setting on Xbox
How do I get the mic fix?
Does the USB C wireless connector for the switch work with voice aswell as audio from the headphones?
No cuz you need to connect to your phone at the same time
i got the g432 and im mad tired of the wires. i've been looking at the arctis 1 wireless for a minute
Is arctis 1 a 7.1 gaming headset?
tysm for this rly detailed review. it rly helped. i only have one question. how good is the sound quality? me personally i need some rly good sound quality but i dont want to spend $300 - $400. that is all
It costs like $50
@@ipostspeedclipz no I mean for a fantastic sounding pair of headphones. They can get really expensive so that's why I was looking at cheaper options like this.

no?
That's what she said
@@Renvaar1989 ? Cringe.
I bought this yesterday, received it today, and the headset won't pair with the dongle because it won't turn off, which is required for pairing :\ Gonna send it back tomorrow.
I could either get this headset and a game or the Arctic 7p and no game. Give me some info on wich one I should go for
These and a game!
I really hate the size of the Bluetooth transmitter. Wouldn’t it be so easy just to make it smaller? It blocks other ports on your motherboard
Mic on xbox sucks? Am i doing something wrong?
It sounds good? ur shi tweakin
Did you find any headset ?
How can I connect it to a iPhone please help
Im a little bit angry about the chate/game mixing audio not there
yes, sounds convincing. I'm buying.
does it work with ipad pro 2020?
Does this come with a audio splittr
can you turn this wireless headset into a wired one with an aux??
I recently bought myself a blue yeti mic, and i want to use my arctis 1 as my headset, but unfortunately i cant because the bluetooth is messing up the connection of my mic.
Is that just a standard usb adapter
When I try and use it on my ps4 the microphone doesn't work, can someone help?
Same I just bought mine yesterday. I could hear everything but I’m chat they can’t hear me unless I hold the mic stupid close to my mouth
Bro mine just came in the mic doesn’t even work bro like wtf I got scammed for basically 105$ like why
Okay lol my bad as soon as I said that you need to push down really hard on the audio jack inside the it will work
@@si0x377 same 💀 i got scared for for a minute too
you need to push the mic until it clicks inside
Steelseries arctis 1 wireless or Hyperx cloud alpha s?
the arctis 1 wireless is 100$ and the alpha s is 130$, and its wired.
if u want wireless, obviously go for the arctis 1
if u dont care about cables, and u can pay the extra bucks, i would say alpha s but i feel like 130$ is a lil too much for a wired headset especially when u could get great alternatives (if not better) at a lower price, like these:
- Razer Blackshark V2 X
- HyperX Cloud Stinger
- Corsair HS60 Pro
- HyperX Cloud II
all of which are fantastic headsets, especially for the price, when compared to the Alpha S. Don't get the alpha s. if u want wired, get one of those i listed above
hope u didnt already buy it...
@@wakozem345 which one do you use for yourself?
Thinking of returning the hyperx cloud s I got for my friend and buying this for him instead, I’m struggling because the hyperx cloud s is better in every way except it isn’t wireless. If anyone sees this, would you give up better sound quality for it being wireless? (P.S) the arctis 1 wireless does still sound amazing.)
If the price is the same then i would go wireless because two of my headsets have broken because of the wires. If the sound quality difference isn't that big then i would go wireless I'm my opinion
watching this waiting for the headset to arrive using my flaky deteriorated hyperx stinger headset (that i keep as a backup) with a broken (cable ripped and doesnt fall under warranty) corsair hs70 pro to my right
What the heck the wireless usb dongle looks horrible like it’s gonna block other usb ports next to it
Where is microphone test?
I don’t think so, but do they have led lights?
Sharky nope sadly
You have to get the arctics 5 which are the same price but don’t have the wireless option
LED as in on/off indicator type things or do you mean RGB?
I just bought mine and they have led lights on the headband and the steelEaries logo
hey, does the mic and audio work when connected wireless?
Yes
Does this headset have surround sound
I bought but everytime I play cod people say it sounds bad
