I'm in the market right now for a new pair headsets just because I had Astro a20s something happened with them where it burned up and now it's not turned on at all so it's just a headset itself so now I'm looking for a new pair headsets and I don't know what to look for I was aiming for steelseries and hyperx just because I hear they're the best companies to go for I just want something that will last me a long time especially putting my money towards something that will last it for a long time plus the Astros only lasted me two years

I bought the former based off your reviews and have been loving them ever since. Since I've got the former version and would like to use them on my xbox one x wirelessly. Steele Series offers just the xbox usb c dongle for $30. Would be awesome if I could use that and pair it to my older Arctis 1 wireless as opposed to buying a whole new headset for $100 to use with everything. According to Steele Series pairing process is simple. Connect dongle to pc and use software to put the dongle in pairing mode. With headset off turn on and keep holding the power buttong for 6+ seconds till you hear a tone. Thanks a lot dude for all your great videos!
True he's explains his stuff well but sometimes if a reviewer only says good stuff I can't trust em js. Unless these headphones are that perfect that they hardly have any flaws, which is understandable considering the price
I was really back and forth on this headset but I think this review just did it for me. Perfect review going over every little aspect of detail and in the end it just seems like the best headset with it's compatibility across all devices. I've been waiting for a really in-depth review like this to justify a purchase and you just did that so thanks. Oh and thanks for the gamepass at the end haha, I managed to claim it.

at this point they’re making everything wireless except for my arctis 3’s 😐😐
They do have a wireless pair, I believe you can use it wired and wireless which is nice.
They have these (Actis 1) in wired as well. SS also makes Actis 3 and Actis Pro in wired configuration too. Check their website.
they do have one that is wireless, it's called the arctis 3 bluetooth.
does arctis 5 have wireless? i dont think so. i'd love a wireless 5 tho

I would say the Steel Series is the better option especially if you want to use them across all devices. More for your money since both headsets cost the same. Just my opinion tho.
Back with an update on my new arctis 1 wireless headset that I got today. Bro all I can say is thank you thank you thank you. These things are more comfortable than my pillow! I got a big ole head and ears but these things fit so perfect even on the first size setting. I could not believe I thought for sure I was gonna run into the same headset problem I always do (ears never fit)but not with these man. Thank you Techne you’ve made me a believer out of you and SteelSeries.

I got my first win in warzone solos wearing these! That 1 win easily made them worth the price. The battery life and the comfort(once you get them nice and broke in and get rid of that clamping force) is just fantastic. I do wish they were a little bit louder though,or that my wife could be a little quieter playing overwatch 🤣
Mine are wayyy loud, so loud that I have to turn them down and then I can't hear my mic monitoring or friends over party chat at all, how do you get around this??

I’ve had mine for two days, and this review is spot on. Connectivity is fantastic. Good sound. Ear cups are soft and hardly notice I’m wearing them after hours of play. I did find the tension felt a little tight, but the soft ear cups seem to compensate IMO awesome wireless value !

Great review! I didn't realise they done 2 editions.. I've got all platforms but only wanted these ones for the switch as I use A50 Gen 4s on ps5 and series x. As luck would have it I ordered the xbox edition which should be here later today. Have you reviewed the A50s. Do they compare to them at all so maybe I could use these as a back up pair for other consoles?

Is the mic quality clear
Just ordered these from Best Buy,paid an extra $10 for next day delivery. Hope they fit my big ass ears better than my stealth 700s. This will be my first SteelSeries experience and the first item I’ve purchased at your recommendation. Hopefully won’t be the last.

Atleast you're consistent! You mentioned the clamping in your arctis 1 wireless too, but you didn't mention the ear touching the inside. Is that different with the other version of the arctis 1 wireless or did you just not mention it before?
Thank you so much! Have to give this a shot...I had a Sades that died...and tried an Onikuma K5 Pro and it had a pretty aggressive clamping that gave me a headache after a few minutes and I had to return them.

Serious question. You wear glasses I wear glasses... but for me a lot of over the ear headphones agitate me because they always mess with the way my glasses sit when I wear them. How do these sit? Do they mess with your glasses?

Compared to the 9X, what’s the sound quality like? I really want to purchase the arctis pro wireless to use for my Xbox, however I don’t like that it won’t work with the series X once that launches and I won’t be able to chat in-game (not that it’s a huge issue for me being that I don’t normally chat in-game, mostly in parties). I’ve been stuck looking for a headset for months now. Currently using Turtle Beach XO Seven Pros and they’ve been tried and true. Bought almost 4 years ago for $90 and now they resale used for ~$180. But I think it’s time for an upgrade. Help me Techne?

Random disconnections is the result of USB3 frequency interruption caused by proximity of the dongle to the external HDD cable. Use an extension and place the dongle away from HDD cable and it'll be fixed.

@@AgentE1Games it's pretty good. My only gripe is my laptop doesn't see the headset for whatever reason so I can't adjust the eq. Other than that it's great. Me and my mate came third on Warzone last night and I'm normally terrible lol.

Can you please do a direct comparison between the arctis 9x vs the corsair Virtuoso RGB SE headsets as I love the build quality of the Corsair, but also love features of the 9x as I am a pc and console player, but haven't heard and sounds (Demos) from them as I can only order online. (Not available at my local store). Can you give me your opinion on fit, sound, mic.. etc... Especially vs one another. Thanks.
Can't wait to try these out. I'm very disappointed with my ex...turtle beaches 700 headsets. Didn't even last for a year and both straps broke and I had issues with the Bluetooth connection, the headphones would sometimes turn off several times during game play. 180 dollars 💵 to the trash.
I started using the sentence stinkin cozy on everything now and I'm not planning on stopping either tech

Great review man! Just FYI for everyone. Apparently I found out it doesn’t let you control chat mix on Xbox. It doesn’t give you the audio option. But it does for PS4. I don’t know if they plan to do a software update. But I’m guessing not enough people have bought these yet and complained to them. I’m gonna contact the customer support to see if they are planning to add that feature for Xbox

Hi man! Im new to your channel and Im currently trying to chose a gaming mouse. I currently have around 40/45€ and before i used a Razer Abyssus 2014. Im currently trying to decide between the Razer Viper mini or the steelseries rival 3. I already Saw your review but wanted a opinion directly from you regarding the hand fit, i use a fingertip to claw type, since my hands are medium sized and i wanted the closest possible fit from my previous mouse (Razer Abyssus). Can you Help me decide?
never used the abyssus, so can't really speak on that. the mini is a great mouse though

From the looks and sounds of it, this is practically the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 but cheaper and more durable, EQ tunes and all compared to the mostly plastic Stealth 700 itself. Prob because my head is too big lol. I’d assume this will work for the newer Xbox Series X and PS5 too? Because this is literally the deal breaker of the decade right here.
I am using a taped up, battle scar’d stealth 700 for now til I get a new headset. It’s been w me for a good 3 to 4 years. But I know one day she’s gonna give off on me and I wanna be prepared for it. It’s served me well, but it’s time has came essentially. I’m rocking her until I get a new one and surprisingly all the drops, smashes, accidental damage etc, still hanging in there lol
Not to mention you get a free gamepass code too, which was awfully nice of em

Hey techne! Could you recommend me on either the Gpro wireless or the Viper ultimate? I got smallish medium hands about 18 by 9 and rn I use the model o minus with a fingertip grip. But I think i am forced to use it for this particular mouse. I also tried the g305 but i hate how heavy and unbalanced the weight is.
