realistically this should have been gordons 110+ win and 7th championship, full career wise. Should have been his 7th win this season alone and championship. Unreal how good he was this year even with all the unluck at Texas, Richmond 1 and 2, Martinsville 1 and 2, Phoenix 1 and 2, Auto Club, Pocono, Watkins Glen and Sonoma
I still don't get why NASCAR looked at this aero package and this track as the finale, and decided to change both of them after this. We need a car that races like this again and the finale needs to return to Homestead-Miami 🔥
I remember watching this race. Being a Gordon fan is painful. Got taken out at Texas, eliminated at Phoenix. Then took pole here and led some laps. One could wonder if he was still in the fight and perhaps......he could have more determinations to stay at the front till the chequered flag to win the 5th title. No one knew that would be his last full season. I was pretty upset at Newman dumping Larson iirc at Phoenix to sneak into the final 4. On the final restart, i actually rooted for him to catch Harvick.....if only there's few more laps, he could've gotten him. Overall, a rollercoaster of a season for me and personally my top 5 favourite season.
@mjsultimate well you would think but listening to actions detrimental (Dennys podcast) it's actually costing more because instead of finding 10 HP they are trying to find 1 or 2 which in return cost more money!
I know man, and I get there point but it's been almost 10 years and they haven't come close to having another manufacturer! They had even more HP in the the early 2000s and dodge jumped right in. So why won't they at least try it?
This crew calling the race is the best. It so nice not to have to listen to the WWE announcer and his two screaming girls. Wish ESPN could get back into Nascar.
These cars are visually hauling the damn mail compared to today. BRING IT BACK
They are gorgeous. No fat rear end 5 lugs, no low profile tires and smaller rims the numbers in the middle of the car
Y'all have to let shit go sometimes.

2:36:36 iconic moment and enjoy your retirement Kevin! #4EVER
Man I miss these cars. The early days of gen 6 weren’t the 2011-2012 Gen 5 or the Gen 4, but my god was it amazing.

To be honest, Newman had to do what he had to do. The one at fault here is Keselowski for taking Gordon out at texas.
Everyone knew that would be his final season. He announced it earlier in the year. The only reason he raced more in 2015 was because JR got hurt.

2:36:43 Kevin Harvick: HOLY COW!
#4ever a champion
Guarantee that Logano jack that fell on a late pit stop was never seen again…probably tossed into a lake
4EVER
Ryan Newman in a final 4, what a time
Damn that's some good racing! Why would they ever want to change this package?

Can someone tell me why did Gordon pit at the end?
probably because he stayed out while most of the guys behind pitted and after he lost the lead on the restart and probably weren't getting it back

NASCAR ESPN's Ended
👍 🏁🏁 👍
2:18:20 to see the worst call in Championship 4 history
If Gordon cones in they all may have stayed out so I kinda cam see that point but with tires at a premium why the hell would the 11 stay out?
😭😭
son mamadas! 😢😢
