I passed my test, second time round and watching your videos really helped me! Learning all the rules of the road isn't enough, you need to have the examples in your head, actual situations, such as roundabouts etc. I had a phobia of driving for many years and never thought I would be licenced driver. My instructor told me about your channel and that it might help me remember a few things. I found it easier to focus and understand when watching your videos calmly at home after my lessons. I've watched most of your videos trying to learn and remember specially mirror checks while driving and positioning of the car for the right turn. The road signs video I watched every day for a few days before my driving test and not only I've got every question right but also with only a few minor 'hiccups' I passed my driving test at the first attempt! Hi, I passed my test yesterday (my second try) in Dun Laoghaire yesterday, and thank you for all your wonderful videos! Just to let people know, about the road signs they asked about, both times, were the clearway and the pedestrian zone (red and white circles). They also asked about a guarded rail crossing and the motorway ending. The other one I wasn't sure about was a black T with a red line above it- I guess it's a T crossing with a dead end...anyways I muddled my way through that one. But I passed overall :) So, very happy, and thank you.

I passed my test this morning and just wanted to lend a small token that may be helpful to anyone going for theirs.
Coming up to the test (2weeks) as much practice as you can fit in. Try book some lessons with different instructors even just 2, I feel like this helped me so much as one picked up on stuff the other didn't. And of course watching Danes vids have also been so helpful when it's not possible to get out on the road. Thank you Dane!

That's great news, congratulations on your pass 😃 what happened with the green band? Did you cut it off?
@Dane Tyghe yea I stupidity took the green band off when I first got my insurance.Tester said back in November I was driving around uninsured 🙃
Don't be too hard on yourself, we really should have a better and more high tech way of finding out if someone is insured. The requirement for a green paper strip is utterly ridiculous.

Just buy the RSA rules of the road book because that'll have everything, what I use is for driving schools.
@danetygheletsdrive I was asked about 16 road signs in my test is this normal? family and friends told me they were asked 7 or 8.Also there was 1 I had never seen or heard of before it was a black and white stripped one (not chevron) I have since looked online for this sign and cant find it, it was a horizontal black and white striped sign
Entering to a major road from a right sided road, at that T junction the oncoming truck driver beckon to cross and he is waiting few minutes me to cross.There is a gap in and no oncoming traffic.what will I do

Dane, what are some things to check on your car before going for a test? I've heard of people not being able to sit their test because of issues with insurance discs and other things.
Well I trust you understand that if you don't have a proper insurance disc there will be no test, the green strip has to be clearly displayed. Google final checks for the driving test and you'll be able to download the RSA booklet.
Doing my third test in 2 weeks time. Been thinking of nothing else since I failed the second one 7 weeks ago. Just want to be done with it so bad

I have my driving test coming up soon. One thing I would want to know is how to manage cars trailing you.
Let me explain, on a road with a speed limit of 80 as a Learner driver you want to go below the 80s probably 60s to be comfortable. But the way everyone else drives behind you feels that you have to go at 80kmph or you are slowing everyone down. More so on a new route. It kinda puts pressure and builds anxiety to say. Any tips on how to get over this?
You have to live in the moment and not focus on the car behind, it's nothing personal. Pull in to stop and then move off again
