Even after the death of Rajiv Gandhi, LTTE recieved enormous amounts of weapons How did ltte they manage till 2006 after 15 years after the killing of Rajiv Gandhi.
Look buddy it is arms business many countries supplied weapons to Both LTTE & srilankan army till 2006.
There is talk that LTTE had support from Christian missionaries.
Even Norway,Sweden supplied Aircrafts & battle ships to LTTE.
Many European countries didn't even recognize LTTE as terrorist organization.
It is only in 2005-2006 srilankan army increased their military strength & better prepared they got a edge, then other nations also stopped supplies to LTTE.
From 2006 to 2009 LTTE decimated with out any external support.

The post 2000 , many new caders were forcefully recruited and they had little knowledge of what they were fighting for. During 2006 - 09 , ltte was short of human resources was the main reason. Also other reasons like karuna leaving, anti terrorism attitude post 9/11 and srilankan government better equipped with experience of 30 years are other reasons.
