Tackling your rear wheel bearings and drum brakes is a job that anyone with basic tools and a bit of mechanical know how should be able to handle. But is is always helpful to be able to check out a comprehensive how-to video before/during the job. We put this video together for just this reason when we did the work on my mate Simon's Landcruiser 60 Series. This truck has over 600K on the clock and is Simon's daily drive, plus it doubles up as a backup vehicle and camera car for the Roothy DVDs. We had already rebuilt the front end and while we were there we checked out the rear wheel bearings and found some play, plus there was a more serious issue with the rear drum brakes. Hope you enjoy the video, there's more to come.

This guy's the best mechanical demo master I have encountered. Sorta like a big bruvver, but not so ruff.

    Hey Richard,
Mate I have tried to find a video on how to adjust/replace a drum handbrake on 40 series landcruisers . If you get one in your workshop it would be good if you did a video on this as well maybe ?
    Thanks.

Unfortunately not mate, the wheel track on a 75 series is not as wide as a 60 series also the spring perches are in a different position.
