Nejat initially disapproves of his widower father Alis choice of prostitute Yeter for a live-in girlfriend. But the young professor warms to her when he learns that most of her hard-earned money is sent home to Turkey for her daughters university studies. After Yeters accidental death, Nejat travels to Istanbul to search for Yeters daughter Ayten. Political activist Ayten has fled the Turkish police and is already in Germany. She is befriended by a young woman, Lotte, who invites rebellious Ayten to stay in her home, much to the displeasure of her conservative mother, Susanne. When Ayten is arrested and her asylum plea denied, she is deported and imprisoned in Turkey. Passionate Lotte abandons everything to help Ayten. A tragic event brings Susanne to Istanbul to help fulfill her daughters mission. Winner of the Best Screenplay in the Cannes Film Festival 2007. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน

Can't tell much of anything about the film from this trailer. Nice music.
La ví,me gustó mucho ,la parte mas triste para mí es cuando el joven olvidó el pasado y quiso ver a su padre y perdornarlo pero el padre ya no volvió.
Ταινιάρα!
that's one reason why there are such big ethnic problems
some german guys are racist against the turks
and the other way around
some turkish guys are racist against the germans
in mind and act...
but only some, I'm just afraid of an escalation
sry if my english isn't that great^^
Germans and Turkish are such different cultures I can't imagine how turkish live in Germany.
Well the first ones were brought to Germany to work in the 60s&70s, the Gastarbeiter. About a third of them stayed. I guess because they made a new home there, or just didn't have much pulling them home. Most of the Turks in Germany today are the descendants of those that stayed and have (mostly) integrated really well. Basically, by passport and by culture they are Germans - just with Turkish ancestry.
And I guess most of the Turks who migrate to Germany today do so either because of family connections with Gastarbeiter descendants, or just to escape any of these things: bad economy, lack of career opportunities, low wages, military duty, cultural and religious pressure, discrimination of some sort, ridiculous politics,...
@@Tchikanii I see. The dynamics in Germany are different than in Turkey. Turks have to put their identity aside if they want to integrate.
@@WorldEye88 Do you think so? I really hope that's not true. Putting identity aside to integrate I mean. I would like to believe that they (and all other immigrants anywhere) can evolve their identity to encompass both the new and the old culture, making an amazing, unique mix with lots of advantages.
@@Tchikanii Your identity does not change. It is your attitude and respect to the new nation's norms what counts. Some immigrants disrespect the laws and customs of their host country. They even despise the new country and are only looking for economical gains... It happens a lot in the US.
@@WorldEye88 Unfortunately it's true that this kind of immigrant exists, too, I guess in every country there are some. While that sucks, I do think it's important to remember that they are the minority. Let's not let a few spoil it for the rest!
Apart from that, I have to say I disagree, identity does indeed change. Mine changed even after a few months abroad. People constantly evolve and any prolonged time spent abroad will shape your identity.
Seni seviyoruz Fatih.
r u srs
Quiero verla en español
En su idioma original. Y con subtitulos.
This and Gegen die Wand were two absolute knock-outs by Fatih Akin. Hopefully he has some more good films left in him as it's been a bit downhill since...
What's the name of that music starts at 0:27?

Shame on you
You are not God and you cannot judge anyone. Mind your own business.
God will judge us at the end of our days. Not you.
@@no-one-care-bears7885 if we use your logic then we will not have exam papers and everyone will just do whatever they want.
No human is God duh.. but your arugment is baseless..
God designed us to judge each other as a way of negative feedback.. if we do something wrong then we account each other to bring each other to the right path
Or else it is mayhem
The dumbest movie ever made
