I agree! I had it for a year and I've been playing it live (from small acoustic gigs to big concerts) and in the studio and it always fits perfectly... Sometimes on louder gigs I use another (louder) ride as well (Sabian Groove ride 21" or Meinl Byzance Sand 20" ride) but its application possibilities are really wide.
So if I buy this cymbal, do they both come with it? I could use them at my gigs...

I'd say if you are looking at getting one of the Omni rides, get the HHX version and not the AAX. The AAX is way way way too bright, IMO. It literally sounds like glass breaking. Every time I crash into it, I think Stone Cold is about to come walking down my hall way.
I agree even though I like my 18" AAX but I use it as a bright crash so it's cool. On the other hand, the 22" HHX Omni is so versatile it's ridiculous... 😁
Your right, I got the AAX and kerp myself from crashing it, just to bright. Yet I do like the brightness for the cutting effect while riding it. It is just so present, it‘s amazing

what I've been looking for and "saying" for 20yrs. now if they were only affordable ...

+lefevredrummer I know there's plenty of cymbals out there that that would do better job if not close enough. I think older cymbals that have some use and grime have opened up their tone better ... but I just wish I could bring 5 or six into my studio and give them all comparative time. ($800 for a thing to smash bash and tap is a lot of $ - can't justify it)
Total respect to both guys who are far more accomplished than I am...but it seems the omni just has a lovely crash and bell, you can get that on most crash/rides.

This doesn't seem to be a new kind of cymbal...
bombcollective I think some of that is being washed out by both players doing different things on the cymbal simultaneously and some mediocre mixing with the two kits and the bass, but it could just have some dead-ass sticking. Who knows?
