Heeeeey, thank you so much for listening to the first track from my Debut EP 'Afraid of Quiet'! I am so excited to FINALLY be sharing this body of work with you. There will be two more songs releasing as part of this EP on June 1st and June 15th so mark the dates in your diaries!
This song holds a very special place in my heart as it narrates my experience with stress and anxiety, I hope it helps anyone else that may be going through the same!

In terms of the music, singing is beautiful as always, the lyrics are bursting with meaning and it will take a couple of listens to in order to fully appreciate them, and the melody is stellar. Definitely in the top 10 Lydia the Bard songs for sure

Yeah this completely resonated with my overwhelming thoughts since I have anxiety, depression and ADHD
I’m a little shell shocked right now. For years I’ve been trying to get people to understand why I don’t like silence, why I need noise and music or the tv playing in the background. In the quiet my own thoughts and thought processes are too distracting and loud. You’ve portrayed how I feel and what I’ve tried to get others to understand. It took my breath away.
So it might sound weird, but thank you. I feel like this has presented a new way for me to explain to others my own fears of the quiet.

I love this song and how easy it is to connect to it and all the details that show just how deeply and intensely the stress and anxiety feel - But I think the detail I love (and hate just bc it feels so real) is at the beginning I can swear I can hear a high pitched almost tinnitus-like note that persists through the song and I can taste that note. It's just like how my stress manifests irl

This is such a beautiful song! I struggle with a lot of the subjects in the song (anxiety, insomnia, your fears ruling, heck even being afraid of what the quiet means) so seeing them here means a lot.
I may have come here for your princess villain songs but I enjoy this piece. You should make more original songs, I’d listen to them.

I relate to this song so much. I have kinda severe generalized anxiety/depression and ADHD, so sometimes my brain can just become incomprehensible and irrational. My jaw actually dropped while listening to this.
And Lydia, from the lyrics, and from what you're going through, I can totally relate anxiety and depression is not easy, I actually struggle with anxiety and depression sometimes, and it's not fun. The pace of the song is overwhelming, in a way that feels very deliberate. On my first listen it was still ear candy, but I don't think I really _understood_ even reading along to the lyrics. But the more I listen to it, the more depth I find and the more I love it. To me this song is about living with anxiety, but thriving all the same! It's beautiful, and it's taken a spot as one of my favorite pieces of art in my life.
