Best video i´ve seen about tourism in Luanda
It was my pleasure 🙏🏿
Man now i really want to visit Angola, blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦
🫡
I live here, Luanda is massive but bring lots of money its one of the most expensive cities in the world.
@@flitslig The South African Rand is currently stronger than the Kwanza so that will help.
Angola 🇦🇴 is beautiful!
Love from Ethiopia 🇪🇹

Lovely to see African-americans starting to discover Africa
Africa is quickly growing economically and can surprise many 👍
Yes. Lots of potential
That african country is great for outsiders, but not great for the citizens. You can forget your human rights if you are born in Angola.
@@germanopassion Really, don't know much about this...
Looked something up and apparently Angola does have an oversized military so possibly the local regime is not that friendly as many African countries mostly use the military for "internal affairs"
@@germanopassion This is totally a lie
Você é mentiroso@@germanopassion
I was in Luanda when i was 8... long time ago... have such a beautyful and sweet memory of Luanda, and Angola. I remember so well ilha do Cabo... so good old days, 74, before civil war... we didn't know but those years we were in paradise. CHEERS
Thanks for sharing
I live in this city since my 3 years old, now I am 44 and this guy have been in places that I never been... hehehehe. You forgot to tell that tourists may also find big fat asses waiting for them. The girls here are nasty hehehehe but also very gorgeous.
Thank you for your vlog.
I lived in Angola for 5 years till March 2024.
The locations you mentioned are nice example Musulu island and Ilha in Angola city.
The kisama national park is popular with locals and tourist.
People are friendly and respectful .
Hope Angola will prosper and grow.
I express my respect and love to Angola.👍👍👍🙏🙂❤️🇱🇰
I'll have to visit the Kisama National Park next time. Thanks for watching

Luanda is definitely a beautiful city from what I can see. Before the colonial masters, my ancestors shared the land that is now Angola & Zambia & the city will be on my bucket list.
In this video, you're only seeing the touristy areas. The whole city doesn't look like this.
Wow, i am so surprised of the quality of your videos. Keep the good work up bro 🙌

Looks pretty developed and clean city. I’ve never visited Africa, but might put Angola on my list. Just subscribed to your channel
What you just watched is the touristy area of town. The rest of the city isn't as developed.
Isso é relativo e. Qualquer parte no mundo sobre desenvolvimento.
Really enjoyed your content, Angola looks to be a great holiday destination for tourists who want a different experience 😊
Yes. It's very different. Not many tourist attractions, but cool if you're adventurous.
So nice! Happy to see real pictures, look really good :-)
Beautiful beach area
Looks great! Adding this spot in the motherland to my list!
I had a blast!
I am very happy and impressed how you could describe very well all you could experienced in Luanda… I could see that you got a lot of good places but as you said, you are getting a chance to know a thing every time you come to visit… there are plants other good places out side of Luanda, you can even make a research before, so that you can come to know to do next… overall, I am happy to see how you deeply described all you could see… thank you so much and you got a new subscriber today❤
Thanks, and welcome to the community.
Great video Bruh, S/o from 🇦🇴🇦🇴🇦

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay visiting Luanda!
There were lots of places you didn't go though, there's many more places to see and explore like (Barra do Kwanza, Calumbo, Kissama National Park, Kalandula Waterfalls and many more) you only got a glimpse of the city, but I know Angolans always make sure you party hardy and get lit till sunrise 😂😂😂
You can hit me up anytime next time you come to visit, be seeing ya! 👊🏽🇦🇴❤
Thanks for the recommendations
Very good clip, I’d love to visit Angola. Looks nice. Good for you.
Thanks
Looks nice and chill place to go. People having fun, beautiful sights.
Yes indeed
I worked in Angola for a few years, man I miss the vibe and like you said the people are super friendly. The Nova Vida area is also pretty cool. Traffic can be a bit of a mission though. Also take some cash and ask at the shop in the airport as you exit if they can help you exchange it 😉
Thanks for the tips!
As an angolan living abroad, i want to thank you for being very honest and respectful in sharing your experiences in Luanda, we angolans are very friendly and humble people. Next time you should visit Malange, there is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world called 'Quedas de Kalandula' , you won't be disappointed.
Thanks! I'll look that place up and try to visit.

@travelconnect the music genre you're describing can either be *Kizomba or Baile Funk* (Also known as Funk Carioca or Favela Funk)
Just left Kenya after watching 1 of your vids, amazing. Definitely looking to tour more of Africa and you've been a great help towards this my guy 🙌🏾
Thanks! I really appreciate that 🙏🏿
Wowww!!!! Thanks for sharing Bro!!! This destination is now on the TOP of my TO VSIT list....I just Subscribed to you to gain more Solo travel knowledge!!! Regarding the music you talked about? Was it "Amapiano" music??? I know that's very popular in South Africa and Worldwide and one of my favorite genres!!! Also Nice to see you had drone footage as well!!! I'll do the research and check the drone law for that region! Any information about lodging and flight line prices???? #Salute
Thanks. The music definitely wasn't Amapiano. From the comment section, it looks like it's called Kuduro music.
Lodging is SUPER expensive in Angola. But all other typical tourist things are very inexpensive.
@@travelconnect1 Woww? Kuduro huh? Okay... I'll continue to do my research!! Again, I appreciate your content and quick reply!!! You're The Man Bro!!!

Thank you for visiting: just to clarify, u can actually withdraw 100k kwanzas a day, when u go to the ATM, withdraw 40k twice and 20k once..
Thanks for the insight Ricky.
The most underrated TH-cam channel let’s get this man subs up.
I appreciate this. Salute 🫡
No problem Bro
Outside South African cities, I think the first cities that are up to standard are. 1. Luanda Angola
2. Abidjan Ivory Coast
4. Nairobi Kenya
5. Casablanca Morocco
6. Windhoek Namibia
7. Cairo Egypt.
8. Kigali Rwanda
I think all other cities are probably just nice in one area but may generally and largely remain under developed in most parts of the city. Angola also had a good standard of living
I don't think Luanda is even in the top 15.
@@travelconnect1 Interesting. Objectively which are your top 15. Exclude South African cities.
a very respecful and humble youtuber. Keep the good work
Thanks
I’m Haitian living in West Africa and I will put Luanda in my list for sure.
Good Times!
Nice video. I want to visit Africa and this looks like a good option
Thanks
The music and dance is called Kizomba. It's like Zouk and Kompa music and dance in the French-Creole speaking carribbean islands. Angola 🇦🇴 is underrated and developed. Ppl make excuses not to go to Angola bc of language barrier but go to Brazil. But the women in the video standout and are beautiful. You the only brother from USA 🇺🇸 highlighting Angola that I have seen. It's overlooked. You've encouraged me to visit
Thanks. I appreciate that. I know Kizomba. That wasn't the genre I was referring to. It was closer to hip hop. But yes, Angola is definitely underrated.
The style of music is called kuduro and originates from Angola 🇦🇴🥰♥️
Look up the tucker family in Virginia USA. They are direct descendants of the soliders taken from kingdom of Ndongo to Virginia USA in August 1619, they have been trying to get more of the local young men in Virginia (other descendants of the soliders) to visit Angola.
President Obama marked the arrival of Mbundu tribe to Virginia as a national landmark
@@travelconnect1 Look up Dj Taba Mix - De 4
@@beforethenextstep305that's myth or should i say lies they was send to brazil bolivia argentina colombia central america too along with congo sao tome mozambique gabon they are ndongo and mbundas descendants...

Thanks Korey!
You've convinced me to visit Angola ... great vid
Thanks. It's definitely a good time
Come visit us Angola and it’s a very beautiful country and a little welcoming 🥰
I've been it's cool but there is ZERO tourism industry. You either need to know somebody OR speak portuguese very little english is spoken similar to Mozambique
I didn't know anyone, nor do I speak Portuguese. But I understand what you're saying in a way. It's definitely a great place for actual "travelers" rather than "tourist."
Another great video…thanks!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏿
Nicely done !
Thanks
Good video very informative
Thanks
The music you are hearing is a mixture of Angolan music. The hip hop and rap genre is called Kuduro the music that feels like you have heard in Portugal and Brazil is called kizomba and Semba. All of these genres originate from Angola. You might like to try kizomba de rua the next time you are in Luanda.
Thanks
I'm from Angola, but a live at the south, in LUBANGO
Thanks for watching
Welcome to my home country! Subscribed, 👍 like done. Thank you for visiting my home. Right now I'm in Namibia 🇳🇦 for study. 🙏🏾🇦🇴
Thanks. My Namibia video should be ready in about 9 days. Stay tuned. 💪🏿
Will be waiting. I just started posting some shorts too. Hope by the time you visit Angola again my channel is grown so that we would explore Angola together. Much love brother. 🙏🏾🇦🇴
Angola is a Portuguese colony, that’s probably why you were hearing Portuguese music and Brazilian music
Yes
I love your show man. It’s educational , entertaining and Pan African. We are tired of condescending Western perspectives.
Thanks! 🙏🏿
But the vast majority live in absolute poverty
5.50 the name of the music genre is Kuduro
🫡
Wow! Beautiful place and girls as well!!
Thanks for watching
I really, really appreciate it though. You spoke so much better the good trait of Angola-Luanda than citizens who live in. Thanks a lot for it.
You're welcome
After watching this video I noticed that Angola and Brazil are identical countries, even the people are very similar, they are sister countries
Great video
Many similarities. Thanks
Yes ..
They are similar in terms of corruption
Many of Brazilians population came from Angola, in the slave era. We still share some food, culture and way of life.
Luanda also has the reputation to be horrendously expensive ! Poverty, real poverty is to be found just behind all the luxurious properties...
It's not as expensive anymore these days
Hi there, im from Angola, you were probably listening to either "AfroHouse" or "Kuduro", or a mix that from these 2 called "Adoço"
Thanks!
*5:57** The name of music genre is KUDURO this musical genre was created by two angolan artists called TONY AMADO and BRUNO DE CASTRO*
Thanks!
@@travelconnect1 WELCOME HOME BROTHER

I am due out there next week for work.. don't know how much I'll get to see of the city tbh.

I live in Angola 🇦🇴 and I don't find it so exciting to visit as a tourist everything is ridiculously expensive for no reason but the locals enjoy their country a lot and I like that😊
It's definitely not as expensive as it used to be (for those visiting with the dollar). Outside of hotels, everything was pretty inexpensive actually.
The beaches in Angola are indeed very beautiful! Unfortunately because the government has not developed hotels in the southern and central part of the country where the most beautiful beaches are located, it very difficult for tourist to learn about them.
Hopefully i'll get to see them during my next visit.
Thanks for visiting my countrie.
My pleasure
Great video
Thanks
What percentage of people would you say that you encountered that spoke English? 1st time watcher. Subbed as well. Different vibe from most travel creators I see. This was very respectful and informative. Side note. There seems to be no shortage of beautiful women there.
Probably 5% of the people I met spoke English.
Thanks for the sub, and welcome to the community.
There are a couple of types of music played in Angola. The most common one is Kizomba; it’s a slow genre, almost like rumba in style but completely different. Artists often mix some hip hop into Kizomba. Kizomba is also often danced with a partner. Then there’s Kuduru, which is a kind of fast-paced dance music. There’s a similar kind of music in the northwest, in Côte d’Ivoire. Lastly, there’s Angolan hip hop and R&B, which is just normal Western-style music, except the lyrics are in Portuguese.
Thanks for explaining. I definitely enjoyed it
No artist OFTEN mix Hip Hop into Kizomba, where did you get your source from, my guy?
Angolan here yes, Angola is a country with a lot of natural beauty, fantastic, beaches, desserts, forest, etc. Unfortunately the government we have at the moment is monumentally incompetent and most of the potential of the country is completely untaped. You will still have a great time at the beach or exploring night life, but unfortunately tourism facilities, especially outside the capital, leave a lot to be desired.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏿
So nice to see Angola doing well. Spent a lot of time there in the mid 80s. It was beautiful back then but was a rough time for the people. Looks like they have come a long way. Congratulations
It's still a rough time, but the touristy areas are picking up big time.
Its still rough for most of the country…
I can only imagine. Closest I was was in Namibia. Nice part of the world

You can use the ATM and draw money. The maximu is 40.000 AOA at one draw at each time, so it means that you can draw as much as tou card limit. If u card has a limi for 120.000 you have to draw 3 times 40.000.

Looks better, cleaner and safer than Brazil IMHO.
They both have their positives and negatives....but both are great.
Yeah, you obviously know nothing about Brazil. You've better stick to Angola indeed.
Been to both. I never saw humans taking a dump on the beach in Brazil. Luanda….🤦🏼♂️
I love Brazil but for sure it's safer than Brazil . Africa is safer than LATAM in general bc no cartel or gangs at all
@@kevinh7597 Nah man, you don't know Brazil, you might know a city or two. There are over 5500 cities in 27 different states. Most of the violence takes place in a handful of cities, and even within those cities, in some areas. I'm 34, never been robbed, or actually witnessed that kind of violence that ppl talk about on the media, I have family across 4 states and multiple cities, same goes for their cities. But since for foreigners Brazil consists only of Rio and São Paulo, then you might be right.
Very nice place 👏🏻 thanks for the video

Scott, American credit and debit cards still don't work! Damn it!
Quick tip - the best ATMs to go to are at the Epic Sana Hotel and the Fortaleza Mall. Both of these places usually always have cash, as ATMs for most of the banks on the street run out early.
Thanks for the tip!!!
There are some ATM that have the Visa logo or Mastercard logo on it, but few ones. There are also some supermarkets that the cashiers accept this type of cards. It depends on the place that you are going to spend money.
Lookal Resturant too

I'm not sure. I'm from the U.S. But my guess would be TAP Portugal
