    I really like the string training. Positive exchange of flight controls. You have the controls, I have the controls, you have the controls. I have the controls. Pretty yellow bird and great job as cool as it was. It is a life long love. Congrats! I was in the Air Force flying around in Combat Comm. I learn to fly after a 24 year 9 mos 11 days in the Air Force. My primary flight instructor was a Major in the Air Force F-4 , F-15 pilot and Instructor pilot in T-38 during 3 yr recall to duty without promotion ability. Should have been a Lt. Col. for putting his life on hold. He is my hero and Gulf War Vet. Two things he taught me first positive exchange of flight and things go wrong - don't scream and cry fly the plane. I look at the world and God differently now. The second greatest gift. Flight!

      @@WhitleyVideos I appreciate that. You're video structuring is fantastic! I have shared the Aerolite 103 journey video that you made with several of my friends. Fantastic! Aside from that, your grass strip that you and your brother fly from looks incredible. I love in El Paso, TX so I don't get to witness the amazing greenery... the the amazing brownery. Haha. Anyway, until your next video, take care. 🙂

    Why would he need to pull back on the throttle after a few minutes? Are these engines not built for long running at that full speed. Would a 4 cylinder prevent or lessin such fears??

    • @bradrobinhancock8491
      @bradrobinhancock8491 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      At about 7,500 RPM, you are increasing the cylinder wear exponentially. Reducing RPM, even slightly to 6,000, will help the engine to last longer. That is a two-stroke engine, not a your typical slow-revving Lycoming or Continental.

    Do you know the useful load on the Challenger? I'm 240#, light sport is hard for me I think.

    • @challenger2ultralightadventure
      @challenger2ultralightadventure 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the engine, fuel tank, and which wing you have, plus a few other options. But on average the airplane empty is just under 500 pounds, and has a maximum weight of just under 1100 pounds. On average. My Challenger 2 is on amphibious floats, has the 503 engine, and has an empty weight of 560 pounds. Affording me a useful load of 500 pounds.

      LSA counts, UL time does not. Of course if you certificate your UL, then the time counts as LSA.
