    This guy is very thorough with his presentations. Literally breezes through it but leaves room to understand without rewinding. Watch when he's naming off all the things that comes with it. After each feature and benefit, he pauses for a second before jumping to the next sentence so you can take it in. That only comes with experience.

      Robert Simpson I would have expected the higher priced offerings first, to maintain/build the brand equity. I would think that, at this price point, a lot of the audience doesn’t even know about SSL. This is surprising. What we really want to know is how good the drivers hold up at low latency. It is all good having great hardware, but if the driver is not up to scratch, then it is not worth buying.

    We need to see latency benchmarks.

      LATIN MUSIC tough choice, I was getting ready to go purchase the iD44 in a Few weeks, this might give that a run for the money minus a few things the ssl2+ does not have, but $699 vs $279, and the plugins and software might have to pull back on that purchase ssl2+. I’ve been using the if 14 for about the past 3 yrs good purchase all around great build and sound quality.

    When bigpro market brands are this late to the party they often sell subpar re-branded technology. I would have more faith in a brand who has already made a name in this budget segment. If it truly is SSL quality for home market, I'd be really excited though : )

    The 2+ looks great but why even bother with the cut down standard version??? Totally inferior, the MIDI and additional outs are a must! Either way, 2 inputs on either version are just not enough, 4 should be the minimum.

    I am only concerned about latency.how does the buffer react to high track counts especially if using ableton.i was going to make a leap of faith towards Apollo x but now you've stopped me in my tracks give us a bit more spec on the convertor. My focusrite 3rd Feb start wheezing after 25 track and on overdubbing vocals.i need a stable machine .

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Bauti Cassaglia. Thanks for reaching out about the SSL2 and SSL2+. These interfaces use the same PreAmps, but the SSL2+ gives you more versatility with options for Inputs and Outputs. That’s about it really, but if you have any other questions feel free to reach out. Thanks and have a great day!

  • @willsnyder8735
    @willsnyder8735 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    This actually is amazing, here's why... first off, think of how many SUCKY interfaces that are out there for the same price range. This might just take the market from all those, and force other companies to actually make decent stuff. Either way, this places very usable tech in the hands of anyone. I do want to see a more elaborate video featuring info on the output jacks & recorded music? I hope Sweetwater decides to do this, I see this product bringing in the business
