- Fraught with equipment problems, we fire up the gold mine site for another episode of debauchery. We have found a vein of gold, and we have been exploiting it. Thankfully we are just at the start of it, and we hope that it holds out. There is Gold in the ground and we have a golden opportunity to have a MEGA SEASON. Last season we only reached 11 grams.. This season we have already reached our goal of 3/4 OZT, and smashed through 1 OZT. How far can we go? All we can do is keep washing dirt and fixing machines...

For those of you who don't know...
"#youtubegold" is a 100% Canadian #parody of the popular Gold Shows we see on TV such as #goldrush, Yukon Gold and others.. Yes, we are mining real gold.. and yes, we are full grown men using tiny machines to mine the gold. We are currently in the Second Season, and this is episode 19.
There is irony in all of what you see..is most of this show is all choreographed. THiS IS THE INTERNET.. Do not believe everything you see..! haha..
Almost all scenarios are staged, acting out our characters, comedy.. etc.. In fact, we are not even working for efficiency, as we are a group of hobbyists who are more interested in entertaining our audience.. than "actually getting gold". Being an RC show, we use as many RC's as possible to achieve this. Again, all we are doing is goofing off for a good Saturday of fun.
A few of the things that are not staged is our friendship, the laughter, camaraderie, THE WEATHER - and of course.. THE GOLD! (Yes, it's real pay dirt). The true Gold is the experience we get as friends, what we hope the viewers get watching a group of goofballs entertain them with some very cool toys. One mans hobby, is another's entertainment on TH-cam!

Kevs a top worker... keen and always on site.. Maybe upgrade to a chair instead of the rock! And maybe have 1 day a month where everyone has to be super nice to Kevin.
He looked a little gutted about having to keep the rock warm again.

what an episode! lots of malfunction. the site is a mess. efficiency is on vacation... control panels everywhere...cables on the ground...no aereial shot....clearly the site engineer is slacking. lol
You can't expect to walk up on a construction site and expect the equipment to b quiet. Just like ur mine site. Cant expect it to b quiet. Y'all r doing awesome keep it up

Fantastic.. It takes a lot of patience to do everything in scale, particularly when thing go wrong. When the dump truck went down, you stll took the time hooked up the chain and tow it out.. among the other issues you come across.. But then, those are the details that bring it all together. Another awesome episode. Nice to see RCAthletes out there..
I love how you guys do everything with rc like when the truck got stuck you didn’t just pick it up and move it you used another rc and moved it and that just is so cool. Love the work and find that gold!

Both seasons with every single episode watched! I remember when you were worried about this show catching up with the views, thank you soooo much for sticking it out and keeping with it! I love TH-cam Gold!!! The mine site and all the equipment involved, has come so far!

I say the only penalty time was in not greasing the truck before getting to site, during his pre-trip inspection. Under the truck, on site, no wheel chalks, no one knew he was under there. Bad Kevin. 😀

Have you thought about scale high voltage pylons for running the cables round the site? I think that would add a bit of extra realism and you could put the bunting between them for a little extra touch.
